I hope it's a series that's a canon to seasons 1 and 2 along with tri I been a huge fan of digimon since I was starting 5th grade I used to run home every day after school and before heading off to my karate lessons to watch it I like to see digidestined as teenager's or as college kids cause fans are mentioned the epilogue and I no matt would own a motorcycle cause it reminds me of my dad and mimi I always wanted to see as a model

I think beyond is going to show a scene where the digimon do end up returning because there's no way for kizuna to be cannon if the 02 epilog is cannon as well where they still have their digimon Partners

In the ending of 02 they all have their digimon and are in their late twenties to early thirties for the entire group. However the ending to kizuna had their digimon dissappear around the age of twenty which means unless beyond shows them coming back it is impossible for both to be canon.

I understand the comments about giving other seasons or a new series a chance. But as a 30 year old that grew with the original Digimon is always nice to see the original characters. Digimon has decided to think about the original fans and only a few animes do that. Personally I prefer it this way

I understand people feeling that the franchise needs to move on from adventure, but now that they've made The Beginning after Kizuna was supposed to be the last movie, they might as well finish the story through the 02 epilouge. I hope that's what this project is about!

Yeah. Release it for Nintendo Switch and maybe have some of the reboot cast and original series cast reprise their roles in similar fashion to the upcoming Blu-ray release of Digimon: the Movie and its three components now with extended footage! The gameplay mechanics I saw in playthroughs here on KZbin are perfect for the Nintendo Switch whether its docked and connected to a TV screen or not! Food for thought!😍

This makes, what, the fifth ending for Digimon Adventure? Original anime ending, 02 epilogue, end of Tri, Kizuna, like just let it go holy shit. Tamers is legitimately the best written series Digimon has had, give us some more of that or, Hell, any other series but the first two. The dead horse they're beating is dust at this point.

Tamers is overhyped quite frankly. Besides which it wasn't all that successful in Japan. The ratings were actually lower than 02. That's why they keep milking Adventure. Because it's the only series that brings in the money.

(sorry for the long comment everyone, I'm just passionate about things ^^") A Tldr for those that don't wanna read something long; I'm excited but Worried at the same time. All I hope is that they don't mess it up for us qwq like, I'm excited but also worried at the same time. Like, we never knew if the kid from hurricane touchdown was canon (he is thanks to Kizuna and the zero two movie, along with revenge of diaboromon is canon as well). But I worry that they will mess up some of the things we saw in the epilogue of Zero Two.... Like the pairs and all of that. I know we don't have any power of what's gonna happen with it, but I'm sure there are still some of us that is till hurt from what they did with Tai and Sora (yes I'm a firm shipper of those two). Some of us grew up liking those together and hoped they'd end up together....come the epilogue and we see her with Matt AND had kids with him, and they might have gone through the similar thing that Matt and Tk went through with their parents. What fan would have wanted that to characters that they grew up with and hoped for their happiness >x< Zero Two, Yolei. yes stated that she had a crush on Ken (and I think it was hinted at in the latest movie???) but how would they make it work, when Yolei would be (maybe) in another country and away from Ken. While girls at his school flirt with him on a (I think) daily basis, that even Wormon doesn't like it. Yolei is working towards something and yet she's gonna give it up and be a stay at home mom? While Ken is a Detective or something??? and mind you, they have three kids....like woah... and there is the ones that got kids but we never saw their S.O aka there other parent to make that kid. Like, who are their partners in that sense? That was all and again sorry for the long comment >x

I always felt like digimon was better than pokemon but I feel what messed the franchise up was switching characters after the 02 series. I like tamers and I feel like it was a great story but pokemon has always for the most part had the same concept. Where as digimon the story and concept has changed so much that it caused a lot of their audience to lose interest. The first and 02 cast are the most relatable and seeing them grow and deal with teen and adult issues while still being digidestined is a formula that I wish they realized after Frontier.

All my ideas so far are about Ken and Yolei, as there's nothing suggesting in the show to suggest they get together (unlike Matt and Sora, whom you could argue didn't get enough to set up their romance, but at least got *something)* I guess I could do the same for Matt and Sora? I'm definitly keeping Tai out of that though. I like writing platonic friendships between men and women, between that and the fact that they're "only" close friends in canon, writing them as besties just works better for me. Would that work for you?

although it may be exciting for us OG Digimon fans. the only downside is that we never get any new games. something open world triple A Game adventure and hack n slash. or like similar to scarlet and violet. we know there's a thing called next order or DW1 Game but i'm bad at those two. frustrating. hence why palworld did a better job.

Sometimes people ask me, why I get angry at overhyped things. I can explain. No matter which franchise, if Monster Hunter, Pokemon, or Digimon, I value the large variety. Digimon isnt great because of Advenure and Agumon. Its great because of countless great seasons, and over thousand Digimon, most of them are great. Reducing Digimon to just advenure sucks, because its only adventure, and prevents us from experiencing the full potencial of the Franchise. Now I bett we are getting some Omegamon footage, some new Form maybe. Why not another apperance of Dukemon Crimsonmode, or Susanoomon? Im deeply uninterested in Digimon if they just stick to adventure.

I'm so done with Adventure ... Which is absolutely sad, because I grew up with it. I really liked "Tri", even though it has his bad moments and problems. But it was a new approach. Everything else after this, was just unwatchable for me (except "Kizuna", I couldn't watch it when it came out). At a rate like this, it feels like Pokemon who desperately wanted to revive Kanto - just more obvious. I personally don't like this approach. Especially because it feels like Adventure doesn't get any logical ending. Why not make a project with one of the other Digimon series? Or start something brand new? I'm happy for everyone who is celebrating this, but I think we need something new.
