it's interesting to see people saying "tri came up with concepts like Homeostasis" when in reality they were mentioned in the adventure novels written by the same people who worked in the original anime like a decade before tri was even a thing For adventure 2020 I wish we had a mix of adaptation from the novels while also mixing up some stuff from more recent material (like replacing some of the old 99 digimon the kids were meeting along the way with newer ones to change the formula just a little) instead of what we ended up getting with adventure 2020.

The only thing tri technically introduced to the adventure continuity was yggdrasil as he had no appearance in the previous adventure series but then became the villain of tri through his corrupted dark genai meicoomon and royal knight alphamon

@@CD-Gaming gankoomon made a appearance in the adventure PSP game tho from understanding that particular one jumped universes to cyber sleuth which is not uncommon for this franchise as ryo jumped from adventure to tamers digimon is a multiverse and their are characters that can just jump from one to another merai another example with her mastemon But yeah examon and gankoomon has been everywhere but the any of the anime

The original digidestined was probably the hook to a prequel that they never released, instead choosing to go with a sequel. To be honest, I don't think it adds a lot to the story and they could even retcon it now.

Adventure lore is the funnest lore for me of all series. Also nice to know that the Crest of Light was detailed here. Because I felt I only learned what that crest was all the way in Digimon Adventure: 2020. But also getting the details of the Crest of Hope.

6:07 I think this was little different in the anime too. Kari remembered Koromon's name but she couldn't remember why. T.K. was the only one that was shown in a flash back (clip played at 5:55) to remember things little longer.

I definitely recommend reading the books. The fan translations are pretty easy to find and they're a very easy read. They're also really short. You can easily read them all in a few hours.

Only in Japanese. This manga is one of many that never found a Western publisher for localization, let alone Toei and/or Saban finding one at the time.

I was the same way. I think around that time most people who grew up with pokemon figured out their episodic formula making it easy to predict. DIGIMON however made each season unique, atleast until said fourth season lol.
