Welp. After compiling all the data on my pulls from 2 cases of BT15... I have to say that it's probably the worst set ever. But worst is highly subjective and for me, it's about how easy it is to pull playsets. What would make you argue differently?

I think the LM01 cards should've been given out similar to the demo deck, buy a box of BT15 and you get either 1 copy of all LM01 cards or a pack of 10 cards or something on the side with 10 random cards from LM01. Mixing it in with the set has been so rough.

I agree with this. This would've flat lined Quantumon as a Secret but I would gladly take that hit over not getting multiple playsets of SRs from a case.

This whole debacle couldve been avoided if they just did the proper method of distribution by releasing the LM cards in a dedicated double pack set, instead of mixing it in with BT15, that way those who want to get LM product can and it doesnt hamper the main set

This 100%. You remove the element of LM from this set and your pull rates would've been fine and a moderately successful set.

Personally think they should’ve tried adding more stuff to increase value you know to make up for Apocalymon restriction like having the training cards so people can have another shot at getting them again(due to budgeting I usually get one box) or hell the exclusive alt arts of the rest of adventure ultimates would be cool but hey at least we get LM01 I guess

This set was just missing something to knock it out of the park. I did discuss with locals would it be nice to have a pack of all the trainings again, but they were like we want something new. Which I also get.

Honestly they should’ve just released the LM cards in a box topper pack, but have it similar to the revision packs where the packs are guaranteed to have certain set cards. Maybe as 2 different packs of 10, or 4 different packs of 5. Having only bought one box (plus 6 packs from prerelease) a lot of my rare slots were LM, and the only two Aces I pulled were Sirius and Regulus, so needless to say I’m pretty frustrated with this set.

Agreed! I think that if they had done it like the ST11 release as 1 card per a box topper more people would have been upset. I think releasing it like the errata packs would have been best.

Collector perspective here , I preordered 2 boxes back in 2023, but around December I found out that they will include LM cards in this set which made me so mad. From now on as much as I like to open boxes I will probably buy singles and then collect the set that way. Digimon is very limited in Canada when it comes to singles and prices are always inflated as hell.

I've opened 4 boxes so far and it's almost amazing how much I'm missing or have only pulled a single copy of. I intended to update Mastemon, but only pulled a single Angewomon Ace. I also only barely pulled a play set of Matt. No Quantus so far yet, but i did pull an alt art MetalGaruru and alt art Apocaly in the same box.

If you're able to open boxes and avoid LM SRs that's where the real value is ha ha. Congratulations on your pulls so far! I think for me, my biggest disappointment was the lack of an SP rare, even out of two cases despite people saying it's 1 per a case.

Great video and appreciate your dedication to the cause Senõr Panda. I want some of the LM stuff and appreciate that the AA Ghost Game reprints are in the double packs for those that want them. I ordered a box and if I can work something out with at the shop I’ll try to get a second one, but this is largely a singles set to me. Too many individual pieces to upgrade existing decks and building new ones like Tento may be difficult. This is possibly just RB01 all over again. We’ll see how it goes.

I agree with many that the LM cards should've been separated, but I feel like this set was sorta bound to have mixed results. This set is built like a Yugioh set where almost everything in it is either small support for an older archetype (Garuru, Biyo, Levia, etc.) or the start of a new one (Insectoids, Dark Masters, more non-D-brigade Digipolice, etc.). It's a sequel set to BT14, which had a lot of playable strategies bundled together with other good stuff. Dark Masters was the main selling point due to Apocalymon, and let's be real, I don't think many players would've liked playing through that format, especially beginners. And a lot of the decks that got support are either okay or got hit themselves and need to pivot to a new playstyle. I still think this set is cool, but it definitely felt like a set I was going to buy the singles from regardless since I mainly just want the Insectoids. They definitely should've added English exclusive Alt Arts for the Adventure partners to give a bit more incentive.

I think if the cases guaranteed something as well, it would've been more... like you were buying into something worthwhile. For some reason it feels lackluster and the large variance of what you can pull does not help.

Like it seems you can't even reliably pull a full playset of any of the lower rarity stuff from a box due to the inclusion of the LM cards, so they should've given us more guaranteed value. Honestly, another round to get trainings would've been nice, but I can see why people would want more. Maybe another demo deck would've helped, so they could potentially throw in some promos or alt arts. Idk throw us tcg players a bone.

I play on a budget, and I can maybe afford one booster box every new set if it has a lot of archetypes I'm interested in. Usually I'm limited to around 12 booster packs instead. As is, the pull rates are so poor in BT15 that I'm skipping the set entirely. If even buying a booster box is only going to give me a bunch of disparate junk I can't easily coalesce into a deck, then what's the point? And none of the archetypes appeal to me enough to even grab some boosters. It's absolutely wild that we've gone from BT14 - EASILY my favourite set released, with no less than six decks and counting that I've built from it so far - to... this.

I'm getting 2 boxes for this set since I wanted a chance at alt arts for the yellow vaccine stuff and also wanted the rosemon stuff and maybe insectoids. Box 1 I got during prelease and thus, alteady opened and my thoughts are... mixed... didn't get any secrets so no quantumon (the only secret I care about this set ) I did get alt arts for angewomon ace and myotismon ace which I was very happy about, especially the former (I might build myotismon during bt 16 so I'll probably need the myotismon aces ), but no gatomon and basically no bugs. I'm figuring after box 2 I'll need at least 2 angewomon ace still and probably at least 3 gatomon. Thats likely best case scenario and assumes I open 1 gatomon and 1 more angewomon ace. I opened at least 1 lm sr I didn't care about so, yeah, would have much rather have gotten a gatomon, bugs, and the chance at more angewomon over the lm sr I got, even though not having the lm cards would mean no quantumons, a card that I do kinda want. So, yeah, very mixed. I don't hate the set though. My least favorite set is still probably bt 12 and 13, since the former basically had nothing that I was personally interested and the latter felt even more mixed for me in terms of what I remember pulling. As for the future, I'm currently planning on skipping bt 16 since I don't think there's a ton in that set that I'm personally interested in, and I need to save money for the absolute wallet destruction that ex 6 is gonna probably cause me.

I think if you're opening for fun, it can be fun. If you're opening for kind of wanting specific items, it's much more of a challenge. I tried to pad the expectations for this video because I didn't want to give a definite opinion that would sway individuals one way or another. Ultimately my goal was to inform of a wider variance of pulls which can be for some individuals disappointing.

@@DIGI-PANDA I think what helped this set for me not be a total downer is that it had a decent amount of stuff that I or my friend is interested in (for me it's the yellow vaccine support and the Rosemon support mainly. For my friend it's the insectoids and the red birds ) and do to life circumstances I was unable to really get anything outside of what I absolutely needed from bt 14 and ex 5 so it's been awhile since I was able to add to my collection and opening bt 15, at least so far, was overall more enjoyable than it maybe would have been had I been able to buy the 2 boxes of bt 14 like I had originally planned. We'll see how happy I am with the set once I open my second box, lol It's certainly not the best set, but at least for me I don't think it's been to bad of a set either. Objectively it's probably terrible do to not having a whole lot of value, but I think that was kinda expected considering it's best card had to get hit.

But that being said, I'm glad you were able to get some BT15 and open it and enjoy it! I apologize if this video brought you down in any way shape or form. @@DIGI-PANDA Yeah. Last year, uh... Kinda sucked towards the end there, lol. Couldn't do anything digimon related really from October until mid January. And don't apologize, I was just sharing my own thoughts about the set. I can definitely see the issues with it and already felt mixed. Bt 14 absolutely looked like the best bang for your buck set the game has seen in awhile (perhaps even ever ) and can absolutely see why bt 15 would be a massive downgrade. Before life got in the way I was planning on buying at least 2 bt 14 boxes and probably skipping ex 5 still and I probably would have only bought the 1 box of bt 15, partially do to the value that bt 14 had, at least initially. But life circumstances changed my plans so I ended up actually skipping bt 14.

@@DIGI-PANDA I doubt that LM 2 is gonna be mixed in because none of the cards have any synergy with bt16 unlike bt15 and LM 1 cards and the Synergy between those cards help me get 3rd at pre release and if you noticed they didn't put the reprint cards in bt15 but in the double packs so LM 2 might be box toppers (I hope we don't get the issue of bt14 were it was sold out almost everywhere for the box toppers)

Where is the Greymon filling. But seriously, this set doesn't do much for existing decks except Garu, loogamon, digi police, maybe machinedramon. But the rest are just filler cards. If the rest of the digidistined got some deck worth cards than maybe this set would be better. Blast Ace had what 7 or 8 decks to build on making it better by comparison, that and the promotional stuff and the demo deck. 15 had zero chance.

Brachiomon could be some Greymon evolution XD with that coloration. Arguably, bird decks got hella support in this set. Insectoids also explode into something a lot better as well. For me overall, it's not the contents of the set, but how it was released. Poor pull rates where I have to buy more boxes to complete my sets feels bad which is something that I felt BT14 did well on, IN ADDITION to the extra goodies.

Sure it’s harder to pull certain cards but how is the strength of cards in the set? Is it also the worst cards printed? That should be the main focus on a set. Are the cards any good.

Hmmm an excellent secondary discussion to bring up. Dark Masters and Apocalymon was one of the most hype aspects of this set. With the restriction, I feel that this significantly reduced the power of the the deck (though rightfully so). Garurumon also has been reduced with its restriction of EX5 Gabumon X and Garurumon X. Will it still be playable, absolutely. Birds, and Insectoids get a whole new wave of support. And Leviamon X are definitely really strong and add more to purple. I think the cards are good, but comparatively to how they were played in Japan, we are looking at a completely different format. Getting them is going to be the challenge.

As a budget player the past few sets makes me sad as singles feel like they have never been higher than right now. I was really hoping to play yellow vaccine but i feel like am priced walled out of the game because of all the expensive SR cards and promos the deck needs now these days. Rookies being SR cards really helped make the game more expensive. This set only disappointed me when i don't have a good shot at pulling for what I want. I know with boxes there is always an inherent risk but using basic economics as you stated would make the singles expensive. This creates a bad feedback loop on the set as people want specific singles but with how bad the pull rates are you still are likely not to get them making opening the boxes not worth the risk, then the boxes sit and that hurts the stores creating a toxic asset as they are then forced to sell it at a loss. With RB01 even though there are some really expensive cards it still isn't worth opening even at the $40 price mark because of how bad those pull rates are too. Digimon's winter/spring set always seems to be bad, BT11 and BT07 both had campaign rares and now BT15 had LM01 messing with the pull rates we are comfortable with. There was so many ways they could have avoided this and it just pisses me off that they picked the worst approach. Sorry for the long comment there is a lot on my mind and i am not happy.

No apologies here! Here on the channel, I want all my viewers to feel comfortable communicating with me their feelings and opinions as well. This is the reason why while I may have portrayed BT15 harshly, there are a lot of unknowns with the set that could flip it one way or another. For example, maybe after general release, everyone gets what they want and boxes drops to lower prices because the set is no longer selling. This would be the time to pick up a few boxes before the next event because we have no idea what will likely top. Here on the channel I like to give case by case scenarios on what you might run into. And while it is a lot to process, it does also give you options to consider.

Ultimately, I want my viewers aware of what kind of pulls they can look forward to if they buy boxes, if not cases. And while true, I only opened 2 cases, I felt that 24 boxes of data is more than enough to let you decide if the set is for you to invest in or just go the singles route. However, this also brings a slew of other things that could happen which is why pre-release prices could potentially be cheaper than general release.

The biggest damage to this box apart of the lm cards is the limit list. We have apocalipmon at 1 so no one wants it because with the same example of anubismon once it gets no one will pay the price he will have because 2 weeks and 1 event for a really good deck even if you buy a 10 dollars each apocali when the list hits you will be lucky if anyone pays you more than 5 bucks Right now we are in a wierd limbo in the digimon tcg because of the list we got that means that by the time we get bt16 it will be probably time in Asia for another list but we will be to close to the last one

Even without the LM cards this set was a skip for me. I might pick up some of the Gatomons to test in Mastemon, but everything else was either gonna be too expensive for my budget or just not something I want to play. I think many will feel the same and just save for more exciting products on the horizon.

The set itself in my mind isn't terrible, it's the execution of how they gave it to us. LM1 diluting the pulls definitely hurt for if you're wanting BT15 and not LM. LM in my mind should've been a box topper or dash pack with multiple cards.

Hands down worst set, the average player will buy 2-4 boxes and usually get enough SRs to either trade for the last or just run a deck with 3. Most ppl who opened 4 boxes weren’t hitting 3 SRs if the AA didn’t hit the one they were looking for. Apoc ruins boxes value might as well be $5 cuz nobody wants to trade it knowing it’s going down. At 4 boxes we were lucky to pull pairs of SRs. Finding AAs is insanely hard, I had to go through 20+ ppl to find enough Ryudamon AA for a playset. Quantumon and melga are so expensive it’s crazy rn. Normal arts going for $40…

LM1 definitely shifted how the pull ratios were going to be. And I don't think Bandai considered this when they made the decision. Moving forward, I hope it changes, especially with the combined sets of BT18, BT19 and BT20.

Me the boys cracked open a case and were extremely disappointed. The increased SR count and looming Apocalymon hit both HURT. I can forgive the Apocalymon hit, but buying a whole case and opening only three Gabumon??? By the time I pulled the 6th Amphimon I was ready to vomit. I hope Bandai NEVER DOES THIS LM SHIT AGAIN!

​@@DIGI-PANDA Hit the 2-Star Apoc!😅But, AAs are just luck of the draw anyways. I think Bandai were hard pressed and really didn't know how to distribute LM Cards for the EN side of the game. I'm hoping that BT15 is the first and last time they are inserted into a core set. As for future suggestions in case they are reading: 1. Just throw them in a yearly reprint set. RB02 anyone? 2. Make the double pack a triple pack and increase the MSRP to $12. Each Triple pack contains 2 Core Set packs and 1 LM pack. Set the ratios so that a Display Case (10 mini boxes) gets you 2 of each SR and 1 Secret. 3. Buy-a-box promos. I really liked what Bandai did last year with the first art pack. It was really nice to get one as consolation for buying BT-11.

It's a skip. While I do plan to make Biyomon and Tentomon most of these decks aren't that strong until BT16 and the one that is, gets hit in 2 weeks. LM cards plague the set too and the Ghost game decided are good but not too crazy. Overall I don't think it's worth 75 and most of these cards will fall drastically come March

Oh. You mean worst VALUE set. Not worst set in terms of usefulness. That makes more sense. I'd probably argue that the worst value set was RB01 but I can see this being on the low end definitely.

"Worst" is highly subjective. For me if I can make multiple cores for newer players I view the set typically as a success. BT15 was one of the first sets in awhile that did not grant me that ability. It feels bad in some ways :/

@@DIGI-PANDA That's fair. I made an assumption based on the video title that it wasn't a useful set so it was interesting to see a different perspective. I had similarly bad feelings about RB01 which had just awful chances of getting the new cards rather than the reprints. So far I've not felt like I've pulled any less of things in BT15 than usual but I only buy one box and then the odd pack in addition to locals participation packs. I've ended up with a good number of the SRs from that and it certainly doesn't feel like I'm pulling less. That said, if I were trying to get playsets of everything I'm sure it would be a different story.

Why is Bandai so bad at this? Between the box topper promos kneecapping anyone trying to build even decent decks and then pack filler super rares? Can't play Bird without saberdramon, trying to play Valkyriemon without the promo Hawkmon or Gatomon? Not easy. Want to bring back virus Imperialdramon? That's at least $80 worth of promos before getting into the rest of the deck. Promo seadramon is necessary for any fish deck going forward. I was told when I started this game that it would be a cheaper TCG and yet because of the pull rates and box toppers, without a decent reprint system in place it's just awful.

I agree with all of your points. I can't even imagine what it's like right now in other Bandai card games mainly because as someone who also wanted to check out One Piece, the card game is not even more wallet friendly due to a more well known IP. In retrospect I still feel Digimon is one of the cheaper TCGs out there but with another reprint set looming on the horizon it is likely to happen once we are on the same global release schedule. Also do consider subscribing to the channel, I do giveaways at channel milestones.

@@DIGI-PANDA What I found with other tcgs I've played is that the top tier decks are the expensive ones, and then suddenly a rogue deck will cause some price spikes. When it comes to Digimon, as soon as the Japanese deck places high enough or there's a reveal of some card, the community swarms the secondary market in a way that reminds me of the buyouts during a Yu-Gi-Oh ban list drop, even if the support isn't that amazing. Then you have the fact that even tier 2 and 3 decks are extremely expensive because of the scarcity of the promo cards, hearkening back to the days of Yu-Gi-Oh/ MTG video game promos.

This is where another discussion can take place. When one defines worst set, is it core set? Side set? Overall set? When I purchase my 2 cases of RB1, I actually enjoyed opening the set for the fact that I was able to build a lot of new cores for players. Previously it was difficult for players to justify the cost of Koromons, Tai Kamiyas, T.K. and Mimi. But now? Much more affordable. I largely view RB1 as a gateway set for newer players, which makes it difficult to call it a bad set. Was it bad for selling for profit? Yes. Was it bad in a sense for old players? Yes. But was it healthy for new players? Absolutely.

Ha! Worst is highly subjective in many ways. Worst set of all time - probably not. Worst core set? Possibly. Worst pull ratios? I'd argue so. Something just felt very different from BT14 and EX5.

@DIGI-PANDA I went to a BT15 Pre-release (as a spectator) and not many people were happy with pulls, so I can definitely see that this set is kinda lacking

@@plutonash2545 I think if you're the individual who opened money or you opened Apocalymon and a few Dark Masters, you were basically going to win the event. Ha ha. There's not much in between. Even for some boxes, I saw that one side had all the pulls and the other had nothing. So if your locals doesn't shuffle the packs before distributing it can be a feels bad moment.
