Hey all, not sure whats been happening with this video, but its gone up 30k~ views in the past 2 weeks!!, that is wild!, glad you are all checking it out, its still currently the best known time for 100 Prosperity however i do plan on improving this run a couple more minutes sometime this year. Hey man , as a lifelong digimon fan and especially digimon world fan i got a few questions. do you use bugs to play this speedrun? I got confused many times , for example in the drill tunnel where you didnt have to carry away the dirt , you gettin into the angemon palace with a bakemon etc. etc. and how did you master that gambling when you train your digimon? enjoyed the video from top to bottom , thumbs up lad

@@ChriSSorrow some bugs yeah, nothing major tho (anything that allows a massive skip to end of game or anything like that) Drill Tunnel isn't a bug but a timed event, if you don't do the dirt pickup, the job still gets completed in 5 ingame days, so I just do other things til then, as for Ice Sanctuary, that's a bug where there's a pixel-wide gap in between the loading zone and the barrier that stops you from entering, so you just setup like I did and you have clip through, the bonus try is RNG Manipulation as the game limits how often you can even get them to a 10% chance, so I setup the RNG which gives consistent patterns then practice the timing for those patterns

The PSP and PS4 version is good, but its lacking in misteriousness. This version you got dropped to the digi world without any info at all. You have to figured out everything on your own. But its successor gave you main mission, that is probably a smart move as the market changes but it also took away the fun of discovering something on your own with no help at all.

@@OneMoreBookMatt That's true, but Resident Evil is one of those games that sold on multiple different platforms almost since it's release. Digimon world was exclusively Playstation until DW4, and that game flopped pretty hard. Re:Digitize never made it out of Japan, which was the next Digimon World title to make it off of the Playstation systems, then New Order went back to Playstation exclusive. It may be possible, but the way things are right now, it's unlikely that we will see another Digimon World game on Nintendo game systems. The only games Nintendo seem to get ports for are the knock offs.

Absolutely mind blowing seeing you storm through a game that took me 70 hours at the bare minimum to beat completely. I keep looking through the comments looking for an explanation of the game pauses you perform several times with a deliberate technique, just have no idea what benefit that brings or even what it does. I have a feeling it has something to do with timing.

it isn't really explained anywhere but what i'm doing is holding pause during a loading screen which buffers the pause to happen at the same place every run allowing me to move alittle before the pause happens, while paused ill switch my direction i'm holding to get 100% consistent movement on whatever screen i did it, most cases ill use it to encounter an enemy in the exact same way so i can RNG manipulate the outcome of the fight (such as learning Thunder Justice/Spinning Shot, guarantee stuns etc) if my movement is even a single pixel off, the fight i'm expecting changes dramatically

One of the games I've played more during my childhood and yet I NEVER EVEN LEFT THE FIRST MAP. I don't know why. I used to spend hours at the Gym trying to figure out how to evolve my digimon in every possible way. It took me 15 years, in a motion of nostalgia, to understand there were other maps and other NPCs I never met before. So even if I played this game so much, I'm watching this scenes for the first time.

Man I remember in the PAL Version of the game the Agumon infront of Ogremons Hideout wasnt doing anything. Wouldnt move, wouldnt talk. We just couldnt figure out what it was or what we were missing. Until one day we were told its a bug in the games version. So many hours wasted trying to figure out wtf is up with that place.

This game is a trip down memory lane. I remembered getting slime boy every time until I found the gym. The game wasn't beaten until I became a teenager. I thought I knew everything to the game until this Chad started doing bonuses for training and getting them right every time. How is he doing that? The young me would REALLY love to know.

what i'm doing here is called RNG Manipulation, being able to hit the golden poops is normally a 10% chance (game will automatically skip over the last golden poop if you arent on the 10% chance), most games roll the RNG every frame but in Digimon World the RNG is consistent til you do certain actions, you can see me doing things between each slots which is setting up the RNG so that i get the 10% chance everytime, the patterns are also the same every run attempt i do, so just gotta practice those specific patterns and i'm able to do it in runs :)

Yes I strongly recommend Next Order as well. It's almost a better designed version of this game. I'm 74 hours into Next Order and still have yet to beat it. It's very challenging in its own way. Alot less random RNG involved and the best part about the game in my opinion is the fact that you get to choose your tamer bonuses and you collect slight pieces of exact parameter requirements for digimon you could get as you raise them. I played the original for over 5 years straight so it will always have a special place in my soul lol. Every aspect has been ultimately improved, whether it be by a small or large margin, hope you give it a shot.

Absolutely loved the game as a kid, but could never 100% it. Never had the right attributes for the locked dungeons (Grey Lord Mansion, Ice Sanctuary, and one more I think) at the right times, and certain recruit ultimate-level fights just trashed me (I also never had any legit ultimates of my own playing casually; only once ever with Digitamamon's item). Yet the runner just demolished all of them with a champion-level 'mon with worse stats than what I would usually have during exploration times. And Bakemon is considered one of the three "mistake" champions, mind. What did I learn? Thunder Justice is OP af >.>

One of my favourite games as a kid, though I was never able to beat it! I kept getting frustrated over the fact that I would finally have a really great Digimon (Ultimate level), then its lifespan would run the course and I'd have to basically start over 😩 I remember the farthest I ever made it was with a Centarumon that then evolved to Digitamamamon, but I gave up when it died.

it took alot of practice to pull off this route, its basically an hour of no mistakes in movement and timing, you can try copy it with save states etc, but yeah it'll be tricky since theres so many intricate things that can screw up the manipulation

@@kokomarie5084 Old games have really primitive systems for distributing outcomes in a pseudo-random way, because they simply didn't have the processing power or memory to generate unpredictable events. I don't know specifically how digimon world does it, but for a lot of old games it's done by frame count. For example if you start a fight on an exact frame, and do the same frame perfect inputs in that fight every time, the result will always be the same (I.E. your opponent will always use the same moves and you'll always get the same item drop, etc.). An immediate example is the way he does the bonus training right at the start here. That might look like a purely timing based minigame, but the last roll on it is actually set when you start the minigame. You can create a save state with 2 successes and try as many times as you want to hit the 3rd success but unless it was predetermined to be a success it will never land. He manipulates it with his movement so that it will always be a success for super fast training. That's just the first of many (and I assume the manipulation begins from the very start of the run but again I don't know how digimon world is manipulated specifically).

The most amazing parts of this: 1. Getting training boosts and rare spawns every time (guess there are rng tricks...) 2. Getting into both the mansion and the ice sanctuary as Bakemon? I thought you had to be different types. 3. Reaching the factorial town guard change at exactly 12, then back in time for Garurumon rematch at 4 4. Monochrome shop... Never understood the logic of beating this and still don't 5. The elecmon speed training lol

Well , i saw a guide and turns out every client has a x chance of appear and a x chance of wanting to buy something , per example the plant digimon is the worst client and won't tolerate any high price , so you need to sell the item at the base price , the other clients like the gotsumon , gorimon and muchomon has different tolerance to high prices and different need for ítems , muchomon has the highest chance of wanting to buy medicine , you beat the minigame if you get past a certain threshold of money (i don't quite remember how many bits it was)
