Speaking of lawsuits I spoke with Roland about a feature request (I wanted +- 4 octaves pitch change/automation on the TR8-S) and they said they aren't allowed to take feature requests because people have tried to sue them over ideas. This is the case even though my feature request was from one of their own pieces of gear, the Roland R8. The world is ridiculous.

If Teenage Engineering had released an 1,000 sampler in 2024 that couldn't do basic functions like sample chopping, everyone would be calling them hispter trash etc. Elektron release a high priced sampler without this basic function (available in literally all other samplers currently on the market) and barely anyone raises an eye.
