I hecking loved Nintendogs. I remember the 2nd dog I got was a Labrador and I named her after my real childhood dog. When my dog inevitably passed away, I'd occasionally reopen Nintendogs and play with her and pat her and it was like I got to spend a little extra time with my real dog again. Then my Nintendo and all the games got stolen. I kid you not, as a hecking adult, I cried. It felt like I had lost my dog all over again.

Baths were both a blessing and a curse in this game. The beginning part would be relaxing but when it came to rinsing it was a NIGHTMARE. I wasn’t born in the time before it died but when I was young at my house we had both an old Nintendo and I forgot what it’s called but what Illy has. We dusted it off and my mom restarted the game for me. It was old and there was newer Wi-Fi that there were glitches in the game. For example: when I was rinsing my husky and heard the sound it made for scrubbing.

Nintendogs was literally the first game I ever got when I got my DS as a kid. Let me tell you, I NEVER did obedience trials cause... that was so hard to even get them up to a certain high ranking. Disc competition was the same but I did agility trials more as I can make my dogs go around those obstacles like WHOOOSH! 1st place every single time baby! I'm practically rich in the game and have more than 3 dogs (ok, some are at the spa chilling while my three bread winners are at home). I also played it enough to where I have all dogs unlocked so... there's that. I've only been on bark mode maybe once or twice but the fun was letting other people play with my dogs while I was busy doing stuff and they could customize the accessories on them however they wanted so it was a cute game and I still love it, even though I was teased for playing it and after that... they turned me... *bubbles voice from PPG* Hardcore... *pulls out Mario Kart games*

While I ever played nintendogs I did play this game on my leapfrog called pet pals that was basically the same thing. Though the only thing I remeber is the opening screen and the bath time sound effects

The way I remember Nintendogs was that I didn't have to wait for another slot to open to get a new dog. Once my first dog learned his or her name, I could just go off and adopt more. Also, whenever one of the dogs ran off, they'd come back with a present. This game was something I played throughout my entire childhood. I got so excited when I saw that you made a video about Nintendogs 😁

i have to yet experience a dog running away. i've had my nintendogs since i was 5 and recently (im now 21) i opened my ds and started the game up and i was so happy to see my first dog, Princess the Boxer, was still running around and being happy :)

I remember I had this Husky named Bonzai (this isn't misspelled), I always remember the bath time parts of the game. The music just the music, you mentally and physically can't be sad giving your dog a bath.
