My next door neighbour turned 74 in May and i have known him and his wife since 1978. Around 3 years ago i noticed that he was 'not himself' and i noticed he had a very mild tremor. Then around 2 years ago this tremor became very much worse and his mobility was becoming an issue and he had sleeping problems and he was complaining of back pain He had several hospital appointments and GP appointments and MRI scans etc but finally he has been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease around March 2020. His mobility and speech has become affected a lot more in the last 12 months BUT why i write this comment he has been diagnosed with SMOULDERING MYELOMA i had never heard of this diagnosis before. Looking at this medical term it is usually picked up by chance so i suppose that during all the tests he had for his Parkinson's this was picked up and also you are A-SYMPTOMATIC - its a double blow. He has told me that there is no treatment needed at this time only monitoring and if i remember correctly he has to go to hospital every 3 months
