Do not use macKeeper or macleaner or anything else they will harm your machine on the long run , your video is spot on , all you done is excellent tip as im an apple certified technician , we see on the shop a lot of problems after mac keeper or similar

do not use any of them ,they will give u more problem they are acting like malware , if you did not get it from the apple store i guarantee it is not good just do it manually as show on the video

i have used many of these, and they are also good. You just have to be careful about what you delete. My video goes through the manual steps, a lot more safer i think.

@Digital Byte Computing - when I tried the NVRAM resetting, I followed your instruction but it brought up the startup disk - where I can reinstall, use Disk Utility... etc. I know I held down P + R + command keys at the same time after the dong sound. What went wrong?

He says to hold down "option" as well...so that could be the problem. but, I held down all 4 and also got the OS X Utilities startup dialogue so I guess this NVRAM reset doesn't work anymore

I use these 5 steps to speed up my Macbook Pro 1. Clearing the Startup list 2. Cleaning up the desktop (removing all unused files from the desktop) 3. Disabling the widgets ( This will free up your usage memory) 4. Clean the hard drive from logs, caches, temporary files, etc. 5. Cleaning up the largest, and unused files and folders. Thank you. My mac is still slow but I will look into adding more RAM. I did go from having 17 gigs free to 60 gigs free. You forgot to mention on deleting any iphone back ups you don't need on ITunes. Yes still watching this in 2020. I might need a new computer.
