Some of the infos about the Xenserver didn't age well. It is no longer part of citrix but it's own subsidary of citrix's parent company and it has completly revamped it's licensing model. The Trial Edition is now not longer limited in terms of features, only limitation is not for production/commercial use. Also no registration needed for download anymore. Also: Like KVM, you can enable Xen Virtualisation on any Linux OS you like and manage it with e.g. VirtManager.

You just listed top few Virtual servers, you didn't tell which one is best or at least which one is best for what. Mate, this is a bit disappointing.

Which of these are type 1 and which are type 2 hypervisors? Where does Nutanix fit in with all of these options?

No real information here at all. No differences between these environments are given.

I found it helpful. I’m just starting to figure virtualization out, so I need a very broad overview.

Oracle Virtualization looks like a ripoff of Red Hat Virtualization
@allesbelegt Жыл бұрын
Both are based on oVirt, but Redhat had announced, that it will completly drop RHV by 2026 in favor of OpenShift.
