Big Thunder mountain is one of my favourite coasters. Such an amazing ride. You are spot on about the ending where it goes back under the lake. Feels like a rocket ship to the centre of the earth.

when i went, crushes coaster single rider always had horribly inaccurate wait times posted, it would say 45 mins and every time be 10-20 mins while main queue was 80

I visited in March last year, and while I think I slightly prefer Disney World (based on the one time I've been over there) it was still great fun. Sadly Big Thunder Mountain was closed for refurbishment the entire time, but I suppose that just means I have an excuse to go back at some point!
