Always ALWAYS a good idea to check what kind of cables you can get. I remember my disappointment when my m50x's broke and I decided to get the new one with bluetooth to later find out theres no coiled cable variant for that model.

Yes, totally. It can be really annoying, can't it?

I like the mid length anti-tangle (much stiffer) cable that comes with the Shure as I'm expert at tangling everything!
@digitaldjtips28 күн бұрын
Yeah agreed those anti-tangle cables are cool!

Not a fan of coiled cables... bit bulky... but I get the idea. For me most important is replaceable cable and I can get my own length and replace when broken.
@digitaldjtipsАй бұрын
Agreed, replaceable is important too

My favorite headphones for DJing I have ever used are Blue audio Sadies (now known as Blue Mix Fi) they're extremely comfortable, the chassis is made out of metal so they're extremely durable, all the pads and drivers are replaceable on it so you can repair them as they wear instead of shelling out hundreds of dollars on your headphones, comes with detachable cable so you can pick your preferred length of cable and it also has a built-in amp that runs off of its own battery. Best part about the amp is you don't need it to run the headphones. If the battery dies the driver still work and sound great.

We reviewed those once, glad they worked out for you!

Great and honest review. Are they worth buying for everyday use ( phone, PC ) ? Thanks 👍

If you like the form and can live without bluetooth/noise cancelling/ability to take calls, yes.

Just want to add a little tips from my own experience with headphones for dj:ing. So i bought Audio Technica ath-50xBT2 cause i like AT:sheadphones and i really wanted with Bluetooth so i can use for music listening from phone and for dj with cable. Now, there is no coiled cable for the bt versions cause the socket is longer in in the phones i was told from their support. But i used my few braincells remaining and bought a coiled aiaiai cable from Amazon and used a razorblade to cut of plastic around the 3,5mm contact, and bip-bap-boom, it fits perfect.

Did they suggest a place to get the coiled cable from? I’m on their website and can’t seem to find different cable options
@digitaldjtips11 күн бұрын
They did not! I'd drop their support an email.

Hate coiled wire. Hate short wire that always terrifies me I broke the connector every time your not thinking and reach the end…I Prefer long wire exactly like the one you showed. You can adjust it to the length you prefer by making a “hook knot”
@digitaldjtipsАй бұрын
Yes, it seems some people prefer this solution - we'll have to agree to disagree on that one though!

I have a pair of very cheap headphones that are perfect for just having a quick listen to next track for a mix.they have a mini jack on the headset which has saved me plenty of times by pulling out if getting hooked.spending too much money is ridiculous. I mean for years djs used telephone handsets with no problems.
@digitaldjtips28 күн бұрын
It's a good job those cheap ones have a mini jack, and who's to say that's not a good approach, but I think you're missing the value of a good pair of DJ headphones

@@digitaldjtips i do understand good headphones, its just that after losing or damaging them i have decided to rather spend a bit more for home headphones. i dj rock and alernative type stuff so not even that much use for headphones.i only use them when its something i have not played for a long time or ever. hahahaha.i have also see djs with very expensive headphones around their necks the whole night and never use them. it seems that they have also just become an accessory to some.

I love coiled cable as it doesnt get too close to my feet

I absolutely hate coil cables. They're heavy, uncomfortable, bulky and make you feel more constraint than you need to be. It's like DJ-ing with a dog leash on: the moment you want to go somewhere someone on the other side of the line starts pulling you. Just get a 2m cable as a good compromise between mobility and unwieldiness.

I guess we are all different! Thanks so much for sharing

That set doesnt look like it folds up. Compact, foldable dj cans are best for us digital/mobile djs.
@digitaldjtipsАй бұрын
Foldable is a bonus for sure, although I'd take durability over foldability personally.

Coiled cables can be annoyingly heavy

True, nowadays many are "hybrid" - they have a coiled section and a straight section, which is one way of getting around the problem.

I just bought a candy fridge , and i kid you not the cable is probably less than half a metre lol , its a great fridge , but unless your plug socket is behind the fridge you will need an extension … so at least you get more cable than you need with these headphones .. lol 😂
@digitaldjtipsАй бұрын
I guess they think you'll be fitting it in a kitchen where sockets are in those places!
@DJRickDawsonАй бұрын
coiled cables knock items on the desk. not good for vinyl and going to the shelf for the next tune.
@digitaldjtipsАй бұрын
Ha ha yeah I guess if you have delicate items around, a swinging cable with a life of its own may be a hindrance!
@SUPAROCKINDJSMASHАй бұрын
This is easy to solve about the cable just get yourself a rubber band and wrap that cord up and you have no problems why do you have to make such a little problem such a big problem there's no problem with the headphones let's just keep it moving
@digitaldjtipsАй бұрын
Nah, that's nowhere near as good as a coiled cable, and when you're using something in public, performing regularly, these things matter!
