EFNOTE 5 e-drums! Well not particularly "uncommon", as I had already done some demos on the kit for drum-tec in the past. Nevertheless, it turned out to be even more fun meeting up with the cute little fella for a little recording & video shooting session at my studio. Exceptional triggering, awesome sounds & build quality combined with high class looks. What else to wish for...?

@@nelsondrummer18 Hey Nelson, it’s a great little kit for jazzy / groovy / funky stuff. For heavier styles I’d choose a bigger bass drum probably 😄✌️

how do you like the hardware compared to an td 27 kv2? I tried both and my impression was, that the efnote feels way more realsistic (cymbals too). The roland didn't respond as "perfectly", as i would have thougt.

I have the efnote 5x and I feel like they blow any Roland kit I've played out of the water. The samples sound way more real and the pads feel better as well.

Nice man! Which is more enjoyable to play - TD50X with digital hardware or this Efnote kit?

@@Zursen thanks pal! Really difficult to compare, depends on individual taste/needs and music styles also. The efnote5 is a great little kit for jazzy groovy stuff & plays/feels really nice. The Roland has top notch triggering, a lot more inputs/outputs/features and is more flexible soundwise. Also playing feel of bd, sd, hh and ride is very different, I can imagine using Roland for just about any genre in almost every situation, while this little efnote fella really is a jazzy funk kit because of its dimensions, feel & sounds. But then there’s the new efnote pro kits that I haven’t yet tried unfortunately, these would be the ones to compare to the td-50x based Roland kits actually. Kind regards! ✌️

​@@digitaldrumming Hah thanks man! I own a TD50X and I'm always curious on how they compare, I know they're both the best of the best and you'll have fun either way. Suprised you refer to the Efnote 5 as Jazzy/Groovy, is that mainly because of the drum sizes? The module sounds have rock beats etc? When u gonna try the Alesis Prime? Also do you not ever wanna do voice over on ur videos to give stuff a review?

Hi, I have an efnote 5, it happens to me that when I play the hi hat slowly with the full stick, the sound is not heard, if I play with the tip yes and if I play louder the sound is heard without problems. Could it be a defect in the hi hat or is it normal that when the hi hat is played softly the sound is not heard? Thank you

Hi, you should double check your trigger / sensitivity / threshold settings I guess. I haven’t experienced any dynamic problems with the hihat honestly. Kind regards!
