@@aaronmorrison8050 if you have to choose between a desk job and a factory worker as cleaning nuclear waste, or cleaning the machines or simply assembling parts of a device continuously on a lower wage, would you. i know working in an office is quite stressful and frustrating and sometimes not even worth it, but still it's safer.

I loved the human sense you gave to the video starting at 13:31. It is inspiring to think that humans move away from stultifying tasks to dedicate themselves to specifically human activities such as art, philosophy, or spirituality. It is ideal, I know, but it is still stimulating to see that side of applied robotics

There is a book and limited series called Childhoods End that leads to a similar world for humans. We all have what we need and few need to work. It all sounds great and peaceful, but I imagine it will have some terrible growing pains as we can already see in our world today. We have become fat for two main reasons, less need or desire to go do things as technology has brought it in our home, and the biggest problem is the food industry. Fast food and the commonly served portion sizes is out of control. As mentioned in the video it will start with how we deal with finding meaning in our lives. As I have personally debated the subject, many still think life begins and revolves around a career. I wonder how many generations it would take to dispel that idea.......

@@quor2243 Portion sizes are only out of control in the US though. Afaik everywhere else, including my country, portion sizes are normal.

@@Demozo_ I have heard that, also heard people in general in most parts of the world are getting fat. Portion size is just one part of it.

Some people will. Most likely more intelligent ones. Majority of population will however slip into day to day idleness consumed by slow decay.
