I don't mind that it ends with a somewhat open ending. Paul walks out of it probably the happiest he's been at the end of any Death Wish movie. The law's on his side, he still has Chelsea (who's not hurt or severely traumatized)... There's a fan theory going around that the three henchmen Paul kills in the warehouse during the climax, are the same three people who r*ped and killed his wife and got away at the beginning of the first movie, bringing everything full circle. Not that I necessarily believe it, but it's a theory.

That doesn't make sense because that was 20 years prior. They would be in their 40s the youngest..and these guys looked in their 30s ..I get it with the bald head guy but the others I don't see a resemblance....but hey , it's a theory lol

Congratulations on being the first reactor to do all five classic Death Wish movies! I love Michael Parks here as O'Shea who actually ad-libbed quite a bit of his dialogue and i like that they once again deliberately embrace some of the black humour that has always bubbled in the Death Wish films. I still can't share your views on Bronson's acting though - there is emotion there, it's just not overplayed like some modern actors do. You can convey a lot in stillness and in the eyes and Bronson is a master at being a great presence with that underplayed technique in my opinion. I saw somebody else here already mentioned the plans for a Death Wish 6 movie so i don't have to go into that. Bronson actually only did three other projects after this and then retired because of health issues. They were a very entertaining series of TV movies called Family of Cops (which i honestly think Blue Bloods got a lot of inspiration from) where Bronson is a cop as well as his two sons and daughter and they're worth a look. I'm eagerly awaiting you checking out Murphy's Law which is another of my favourite Cannon Bronson movies.

Angel and Avenging Angel are a couple movies from the 80’s you should check out. Has that same kind of film making like Death Wish.

my personal favorite is part 2. it has the same gritty tone as the first one, but has the cannon films cheese elements to it. plus i love how he goes undercover as a bum in that one and stalks them all down. plus the coldest one liner in the franchise "do you believe in jesus?... well, you're gonna meet him." part 3 is the most entertaining, but i love the dark tone of part 2.
@FlixTalk5 күн бұрын
Agreed. That line is amazing. That's why I wish they kept those one liners fresh in the series. They got stale over time

Really good post movie analysis. 👍...also, "Death Wish: Geriatric Justice" 🤣 Regarding the low production quality of the movie,..Golan Globus(Cannon) was going through bankruptcy if I remember correctly. Also, another great villain with a familiar face is the late actor, Henry Silva. He was in a lot of stuff. He was the bad guy in Code of Silence(1985) Chuck Norris movie.

Death Wish 5 was produced by Menahem Golan, but through 21st Century Films. Golan and Globus had split in 1989/90. Globus stayed with Cannon, while Golan bought 21st Century and produced Death Wish 5, one of the company's last movies before *also* going into bankruptcy, preventing Death Wish 6 from being made. The script *was* written (titled "Death Wish 6: The New Vigilante") and it would've basically shown Kersey passing the torch to someone else. The script was later filmed (with some modifications) and became the 2001 movie "Death Game".

Good reaction dude.... I did enjoy this film (although it isn't as great as the previous entries but it is entertaining nonetheless). In this one, Paul Kersey goes full Agent 47/Hitman mode in this one (and I was fully there for that). 👍

THE EVIL THAT MEN DO is a Bronson movie I haven't watched yet but saw a clip from the movie. Let's just say....if you know, you know. I do plan to watch the movie but, even as a woman, it was hard to watch. I can't belive any man got through that scene unscathed.

I have a big request! Please would you do a reaction to the 1937 movie A Star is Born (in color). It was remade in 1953 with Judy Garland, and that’s a great version, but not enough people have reacted to the original, and I’d love to see you do It!

i'm one of the rare people who likes part 5 better than part 4. first 3 are the best though. i'm not positive, but i think the guy who plays the good cop in this is the same actor who sliced his newspaper up with a knife in the subway in the first movie
