Today, we're checking out the Ventura Vibe, by Digitech. The Ventura leaves no stone unturned in its quest for pristine vibe sounds, and it features three modes to help you on your journey: Vintage, Modern and Rotary. Each mode is governed by five controls: Depth, Mix, Speed and a stacked control consisting of Tone and a unique Drive control, which controls how much grit gets into the signal. The Vintage mode is based off a Uni-Vibe, with more control than Shin-Ei ever intended. The middle position is a straight-forward modern pitch vibrato, with the ability to range from slight undulation to full-on seasick vertigo. Rotary mode gives players a very convincing Leslie tone, and the addition of the drive knob acts as the tube amp gain on an old Leslie cabinet. Each mode can be ramped up or down by holding and releasing the footswitch, drastically expanding the functionality without the use of any bulky expression pedals. The Ventura also features true stereo ins and outs for full integration into any rig, high internal voltage (headroom) and true bypass switching.

I find Boss sterile tools, I prefer what DigiTech do, always a bit odd, glitchy or just way out there. Much better for taking you to new creative places.

Just got this today. So far I really love its versatility. It doesn’t have the same “chewiness” or “throb” that a photocell one has but I really like the sound. And the Leslie sound is really great.

The best demonstration of a vibe ever. It starts out doing the Hendrix thing. THAT is what I want to hear. You didn't have to go any further. I get tired of all the videos of vibes that demo how sea sick they can get, and spend about five seconds of what we really want to hear, the Hendrix/Trower thing.

I have both. Monterey is amazing for the price, Ventura kills it in stereo for Rotary or the "Modern" setting as a Chorus tone. Monterey before dirt, Ventura near the end of the chain, post-dirt.

+Joel Johnson Digitech makes a bunch of great things. The whammy iterations (including the drop, mosaic, and luxe), and also the obscura and polara. The hardwire series is mostly great also. I'm not a fan of the hardwire drives, but its all high quality regardless.

I just bought one off of Reverb. I love my Digitech Expression Factory just for the Univibe and Leslie. I wanted similar for a different rig. I hope someone brings back Digitech. They were doing awesome stuff when they shut down.

+iNK off course not!!! they are trying to get the right way, but not on top. I had the polara reverb and didn't like it, so cold, not very good reverb. And for vibrato or rotary, there are better pedals. Digitech is doing good pedals for the price they offer. That's all
