Even if this album doesn’t achieve the “numbers”, and I’ll be pissed if it doesn’t, it will single-handedly set off a shockwave that will inspire tons of other artists. I hope it becomes a classic but I KNOW it will already be a cult classic. Haven’t felt all in on artist like this since James Blake.

This song, like drunk, is amazing in that his energy matches everything the song is about. He sounds exhausted, yet is giving his all, shouting with a lost voice. Much how these kind of relationships can feel. It’s a similar effect in Drunk, where he resorts to slurred speech, whines and screams, and a spot of gibberish. Dijon is a rare breed indeed❤️

thank you dijon for putting Feeling back into music. thank you for including the ugly bits. the coarseness, the chaos, the delirium. that's what it's all about man! you've managed to translate such intense, deranged emotions in a way that neither strips them of the frenzied state that they exist in in their rawest forms, nor distorts them into something unrealistic. true artistry. one of the best to ever do it. thank you for everything.

I got this as an ad and I was preparing to skip it when I got struck. The moment I heard the voice of this song and the music supporting it I swear it was like a crashing wave to me. His voice transferred so much in such a short span of time... I felt pain, struggle, perseverance, pride, and most of all joy. Not what I expected at all from music to be honest with you(the reader). Just expected some small good feels and a nice head bop. But man... This song literally took hold of me. Is this what people feel when they go to a concert? Is this what it feels like to get a live performance? By far one of the best ads I've ever come across and I knew I'd have to find this and hear more of this kind of music. Maybe I'm the only one, but this truly felt like a transformation bottled into a song. People shouldn't underestimate the power of raw audio. The polished version of this song just doesn't compare, not even slightly...

I liked the piano in this version more but not the cleaned version which is what I play in my car on repeat. This version and every song recorded at the house studio sends me somewhere. Once upon a time in my 20s I used to sing. I was in the community of starving artists in a little rust belt, college town. And there was this house that one of my friends had inherited from a family member. His r&b cover band practiced there nightly but it also drew in all types of musicians from everywhere around the Midwest. Bands winding down after performances at the bars, gospel singers, wind and string instruments. And this reminds me of a good jam night there, where random people start playing together. Awesome times
