Why do you have to try to like someone..as opposed to liking someone naturally? Besides, they dont know him like you guys do. Pretty sure if they made you listen to Frank Sinatra or a few jazz artists play the sax or vocalise, you guys would have the same expression on your faces. Besides, I do see Rick's point here....as a musician, idk how much of his songs he was actually singing...Most of it seemed to be the backing track..and him giving the supporting vocals, busy dancing through most of it. It's fine if that's what you guys prefer, but being an Indian, even I wasn't very moved by the performance, though i'll agree he has showmanship.

Diljit Dosanjh is a Singer, Dancer and an Actor. He is all in one. He is one of them who made Punjabi industry so famous Nationally and Internationally both. And here in this video he is performing as a singer so please don't compare him with others performances. You should react to more of his PUNJABI songs. You would love it.

The background dancers are an Indian dance group from New York and they have a KZbin channel called Bollyfunk. They are fab!! Also, Diljit is a musician first so his performance wasn't going to be a dance or any costume change like other actors usually do which you did point out. But his energy levels are off the charts... Don't know why...but in award functions no one really performs up to the mark...even Ranveer Singh or Hrithik Roshan or Shahid Kapoor don't.

He doesn’t sing for other actors. He has a very specific sort of song that he sings himself. He acted in Phillauri but didn’t sing in it, and quoted in many interviews that he appreciated and respected the singers who do sing the songs in the movie and that he doesn’t consider comparisons fair. Also, 5 Taara is a classic Diljit mood song. If you wanna know the guy, that’s your song. To begin to scratch the surface.

Yep, in 2017 IIFA was held at the Meadowlands in Jersey, marketed as NYC. I went to the entire thing .. and have videos and pictures. It's a fun show as a one-off. In 2013, it was in Tampa Bay, Florida. It's been held in Canada twice. They keep coming to North America ever few years...
