I have got to believe that your full time job is as an instructor somewhere. Excellent presentation and make's learning my XL 750 much easier. Thanks Bob Sisson U.S. Navy Ret.

I've been watching a few of your videos since I got an XL750. Haven't actually setup the tool head yet, but I ran some cases through without dies to see the function. Your videos are great and are giving me ideas of what's next in the process. I don't feel ready yet to actually reload for the first time, still need to do more reading up, but your videos are fun to watch! Keep them coming!

It's likely going to be a very long time before this is directly applicable to me, but that was a great video, man.

Great video. A bit confused about the CH Tool ID die you refer to. Would that be their expander die? I don’t see an “ID” die on their website. I’d appreciate any clarification you can provide.

After using a trim die can I use a regular FL sizing die to bump the shoulder and set neck tension?

My problem with the Dillon trim/sizing die is that, even when lubricated, copper oxide from the annealing process is transferred to the wall of the trim die. This mars the neck of the newly formed .300 blackout case and technically ruins the trim/sizing die.

I like your videos. On the Dillon short trim tool head, you mentioned 223 and 300 blackout, can it be used for other calibers like 308 or 303 with the proper sizing die.
@SquatchReloaded
@SquatchReloaded 2 жыл бұрын
Yes it can. However I prefer the standard tool head on 308

I have a question after watching this video. Your sizing die, doesn’t have the piece that goes inside the case to prep the neck like my dies. I understand that’s impossible with the trimmer you have mounted on the sizing die. But how do you ensure the opening and neck of the brass is within spec? Would it be feasible to install a sizing die prior to the trimmer that sizes the neck of the case? Great video!

I would not place a sizing die before the trim die because you find the cases will spin in the trimming die. The actually size operation is what holds the case for trimming. What I use is a mandrel die as the first die when I am loading like a Lyman M die.

I have my one 750 set up with station 1 Dillon resizing and decap die( %90 resize) 2,3 empty 4 trimmer and finish size 5 Lyman M Die. So far no issues. How tight do you tighten the lock ring for the trimmer height? The only complaint I have is when tightening the trimmer it’s difficult to keep the die from backing off. Any suggestions?
@SquatchReloaded
@SquatchReloaded 2 жыл бұрын
I usually put a screw driver through the opening on the die and hold it to snug up the lock ring.
