This is absolutely my favorite of his ballads, and so beautifully done. That said, when he does one of his songs that relate to his pride of his homeland, they are really powerful. My favorite of those is Samaltau. But they are all fantastic.

This was first Mandarin song he performed in the competition, which he learnt in one week. He perform in 6 languages in whole competition. French, Russian, English, Kazakh, Mandarin and Italian. He didn't win, but he gained millions of fans all over the World. The winner is very talented, famous and well known in China and Taiwan but not known worldwide. So Dimash is also a winner in a better way😊👍

The first time Dimash sang in Mandarin (he learnt the song phonetically in a week AND he had to fly home mid week for a concert as well!), which Mandarin speaking people have said was perfect! So I think that’s why the other contestants and the audience (the judges) were so shocked! It’s a very difficult language apparently, because the same word has different a meaning depending on the inflection.....

Sad, powerful and based on a true life situation. U will be able to find the back story easily I think. Very sad. I'm not sure he cud hve won as he was invited to join as a wild card, from another country. The competition was I think between well known and established chinese singers.
