Что значит талантливые люди, Лара Фабиан впервые увидела выступление Димаша на китайском конкурсе "Я певец" и достойно оценила , а теперь написала специально для него слова, а муз. The Diva dance is from the movie The Fifth Element with Bruce Willis. An alien sings it, and synthesizers were used to produce some of the song, but Dimash uses just his voice. Great reaction even if you're a little unusual, lol.....your words Barry. See you on the next bus ride.

This performance was my first of Dimash singing Diva Dance. Since then I've heard him sing it in several occations. My favourite is with Li Yugang, Drunken Concubine and the Diva Dance. Don't miss out on it. It will amaze you as well :)

I didn’t see anybody say this ...nif they did forgive me. It’s The Confessa.... and ...The Diva Dance as many female opera singers know it’s the opera sang in the Fifth Element by the blue Alien Diva. Back then the notes were too high for her and the sound engineers from the movie finished the song for the notes she could not sing. At the end of the song she is killed by other aliens in the movie...that’s why Dimash falls over like dead as in the movie. A vocal coach rated 4 opera female singers who have done the diva dance. And they can complete the song just as the computer did. The vocal coach would not evaluate dimash in this rendition because she said it was done a half step down than the other opera singers did. Since this time Dimash has done the diva dance a whole step higher than this performance making his version a half step higher than the four female opera singers did. But on many other occasions throughout his career he has hit notes higher than the diva song. In unforgettable day in Gakku concert he hit a D8 one note higher than the piano keys. Hhe held it for five seconds with vibrato. It’s worth checking out on your journey. Female coaches like to point out that dimash has a working 6 octave range. But that D8 and hitting notes in the first octave in the base of the piano doesn’t jive with these coaches. There are 88 keys on the piano. Something doesn’t add up with what the judges are saying. And his range has changed since this confessa song.

He sang the first couple of phrases in Chinese. Then switched to Italian. That is so hard to change how you phonetically place the vowels ....to make that change within the song. And then everything else he did!! His stage presence hardly appreciated in this song when the vocals are so Brilliant. This is a fantastic performance!! I can't say it enough! Dimash is one of a kind! A legend already at age 26. Barry, for a purely fun video maybe do a vid of Dimash doing "Uptown Funk". This one for me is mostly about stage presence and getting the audience with you. Dears request this one the least but I think it's an important side of Dimash. Please consider it! Thanks!

I agree with you Julie. And since this was a competition, the reason for the choice of song was to show that Dimash could handle any type of singing/music. Druppy channel has a longer version of The Singer, I think 1:51 or so but more backstage action.

I like Uptown funk. It shows him having fun. He is only a kid. I know he says man but to me anyone under 30 is a kid. One should stay that way as long as they can. It shows his playful side which I enjoy.

The dancer in "Confessa" represents the woman in the song who he has caught cheating. That's why he lets her go at the end. In order to get "The Diva Dance" in the competition he had to pair it with something else, because it's so short. That series of soprano notes in "The Diva Dance" replaced a difficult run, which was included in his version at his Bastau concert. In the movie it was done by playing vocal samples on a synth. Another great reaction, thank you. He is totally amazing - I love Confessa, such a beautiful song and as someone has already said I think, he sings the first bit in Mandarin and the rest in Italian. The Diva Dance was of course sung by a female and there have been a few people who have attempted the song, some quite passable, but Dimash can reach highs and lows that others cannot, and I think the only man who can actually sing the notes perfectly, even though the original had digital assistance, Dimash does not need digital assistance. Anyway, looking forward to your next reaction. 👀😍

You'll hear more of his gorgeous lower range in his later songs. You still have so much of him to see. The original Diva Dance is a bit different, it has a part that I don't think even Dimash could do, it's sang by a blue alien, you can check it. Also, for the next reaction, I suggest adding the Bastau concert Diva Dance together with the next song. It's short, has an awesome run instead of the cool staccato here and the lower notes are stronger.
