When you were surprised by emotions early in the song, I completely related. The first time I heard Amanat, I had woken early and discovered a brand new song by Dimash. I was so excited and listened right away. Less than a minute in, I scratched my face and found it covered in tears. I hadn't even noticed that I was crying as I was so entranced in the song. His voice does that. He had my complete attention from the first note......and then he had my heart. Thank you for your reaction.

So beautifully expressed, Rebecca. I have watched this video and listened to it in my car many times and I never tire of it or become less effected, no matter how many times I watch or listen to it. In fact, the majority of his emotive, heartfelt performances affect me in much the same way. This is why his Dears watch and listen and rewatch and relisten to his performances many times over and are still moved and enthralled each time. Never in all my life has an artist had this affect on me. Dimash is a unique and phenomenal soul and performer and a vocalist on a level above all others.

Awsome reaction and review to Dimash's Amanat. Thanks so much for the video. I agree that while I absolutely love Dimash's high notes, there is phenomenal beauty in his subtlety, control, and quiet dynamics in a song. It is not only mind-blowing in skill, but it provides a direct conduit to your emotions. He communicated deep emotions that surpass language that anyone from any nation, from any background, can feel and understand. Hi Lukas, the background image is of the inside of a Kazakh Yurt, looking through the doorway onto the great Kazakh Steppe covered in beautiful red tulips, the Tulip originates from Kazakhstan (as do apples) and its particularly apt for this song. Amanat means "Legacy" and the song is about passing on that precious legacy to the younger feneration. In times past this was done orally so in stories and songs so that the next generation would understand the history and pride of their forefathers and take care of the land, not spoil or pollute it so that it stays safe and fertile. Dimash as always puts beauty and meaning into all his performances and this one is particularly so. I like your reactions and agree that his Kazakh sings are high on my favourites list. When his all Kazakh album is released in the very near future I will make sure my order is in very quickly, I am looking forward to that day immensely. No the jacket is not traditional to Dimash but a Chinese Silk Dragon motif jacket. Dimash live in China for almost 4 years working, and the production company was set up for Dimash at an early age, but they recently built a new state of the art recording studio. He runs the company along with his father Kanat who has been a pop music producer in Kazakhstan for several years. Dimash is from a very large and very musical family. Hey! Thanks for your reaction! DimashAli's production company was founded many years ago by Dimash's father Kanat Aitbaev and his friend, the name is made up of the names of their sons. Although in different countries Dimash cooperates with different companies, but the only real producer of Dimash is his father (he is also a singer and songwriter, Dimash has several songs based on his father's poems in his repertoire). And the music producer almost always from adolescence is Dimash himself. The sound producer and arranger is Dimash's best friend Yerlan Bekchurin, who started working as an arranger with his parents Kanat and Svetlana Aitbaev. How good to see you again! You have a special way of responding to Dimash's music that I really enjoy, and "Amanat" was no exception. Dimash has a unique (some might say mystical) way of making listeners understand the lyrics of a song as though it were sung in their own native language, even without subtitles. The staging for "Amanat" replicates the interior of a yurt, with the traditional hand-woven carpets on the interior walls, and the draped entrance tied open to reveal the Altai mountains and wild tulips of Kazakhstan - no color enhancement needed. Dimash's gentle vocals on this beautiful, simple melody are like being wrapped in a soft blanket while an angel sings a lullaby.
