As Dimash sings the lower notes his voice breaks giving a longing tone, I believe this is deliberate and draws on the empathy of the listener who may have been in this position and felt this emotion. I hope Dimash never loses his accent and the not quite so perfect English is so very charming as to add to the enjoyment of his songs. The beautiful 'I love you' in Chinese adds to the intimacy of the song and the ending is perfection to the heart. Possibly the most romantic Dimash has ever sounded. Hi Jack, the flute is a Kazakh sidebloewn flute called a sybyzgy. Dimash will a lot of times incorporate Kazakh traditional instruments into his songs. He is his own music producer so he chooses everything, he is the boss. ❤ this was the 2018 series of Singer and Dimash was performing as a guest , he came back each year but the final 2020 series ge was unable to attend due to covid restrictions on travel to China 🇨🇳 Dimash was still only 23 here but had been a professionsl artist since he was 16. He improves dramatically each year and always surprises us with each song he performs. He is a very exciting artist indeed ❤ at thr very end he sang I love you in Mandarin, then Kazakh and finished by saying thank you in Mandarin ❤ not a recorded choir the singers were all there in person. This show is completely live, it's a requirement to sing live in China unless you are dancing ❤

This was from a night of gala performances at Singer 2018, the year after he was on the show, and his English was quite a bit better than in 2017. You probably recognized Hua Chenyu in the backstage footage. Also backstage was the singer Tengri from Inner Mongolia, who met Dimash that night and ended up doing a duet with him at a later date ("Swan Goose"). The best performance of Tengri (or Tengger) I've seen is his "Heaven" from Singer 2018, where he shows great dynamic control. If you Google the song under the name Tengger, you will see it there with Eng. subs.. There is also a video of Jessie J, who was standing in a backstage hallway, waiting to go onstage next, watching Dimash and saying "Wow !".

Why can't it be an artistic choice? Why would you think he may be unwell? Ciao carissimo, c' é la parte dietro le quinte di questo video, dove Jessie J arriva e aspetta di esibirsi, proprio durante la parte "arabeggiante". Entusiasta, continua a dire WOOWW, e poi dice anche, che si sta solo riscaldando. Poi in un altro video dove sono tutti schierati sul palco, Jessie si avvicina a Dimash e si complimenta con lui. L'evoluzione dei toni bassi di Dimash mi sembra che vada di pari passo alla maturazione della voce. Dal 2017 ad oggi anche nel parlato si sente che la voce è diventata più bassa e più calda. Forse ha leggermente perso negli acuti a confrontare il concerto Bastau con gli ultimi tre, ma ha guadagnato sui bassi e sull'interpretazione.

Hola Giacomo estabas perdido esa canción en Dimash es subliminal y nada que decir, siii era joven 23 años pero hoy en día nadie la canta de esa manera ni siquiera el autor de la misma, esos matices, esas armonías tribales 😂me encantaría que algún cantara flamenco. Complimenti per la tua analisi precisa e interessante. Dimash è una forza della natura. Questa interpretazione è una delle mie preferite.. Specialmente la parte che tu chiami "tribali", è simile ai melismi del canto arabo, che io amo particolarmente avendo origini arabe 😊 E nonostante la sua performance qui sia magnifica, ho sempre l'impressione che la sua voce non fosse al massimo, per il fatto che sforza molto la gola quando canta le ultime note acute e potenti (mentre di solito ha i muscoli molto più rilassati).
