And recently he thanked us for being his fans for five years and he PROMISED he has much more to show us. “I have barely gotten started, My Dears. Many more incredible things to show you.” What kind of reactions to him will we be having in 10 years!!?! It’s the ride of a lifetime. A Canadian Dear 🦌🇨🇦💜🇰🇿

This was another very enjoyable reaction. This is quickly becoming one if not the favorite Dimash performance for me and it invokes a very visceral response in me, just as "Ave Maria" did. I believe this actually was a live performance in that Dimash sang "Ikanaide" live for the Tokyo Jazz Festival Live stream in January of 2021 as it was being recorded. According to several native Japanese speakers, Dimash's pronunciation of the lyrics is nearly flawless. One native speaker, who gave a detailed analysis, stated that he is "expressing Japanese more (better) than Japanese" and that he does not only perfectly pronounce Japanese but "expresses Japanese…with Japanese emotion.". Goro Matsui, who wrote the lyrics to "Ikanaide," posted on his Twitter account that he has never heard a foreigner sing in Japanese in such a beautiful way. Tamaki Kōji composed the music and performed the song in 1989. "Ikanaide" became the title song for the Chinese-Japanese TV series "Farewell, Li Xianglan," filmed that year. It is the story of Yoshiko Yamaguchi, a beloved Chinese-born Japanese actress and singer during World War II who hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan. Following the war, when the Chinese became aware of her Japanese heritage, she was accused of being a spy and sentenced to death by firing squad for treason and collaboration with the Japanese; she had been involved in the production of Japanese propaganda films. Thanks to the intervention of influential friends, she was cleared of all charges but urged to leave China or risk being lynched. She resettled in Japan, where she would continue to enjoy a successful acting career. In the 1950s, she moved her acting career to Hollywood and Broadway under the name Shirley Yamaguchi but returned to Japan in 1959, retiring from acting. She would go on to become a TV presenter and eventually a politician. She did not return to China for nearly 20 years. In 1990, "Ikanaide" was translated into Cantonese and sung by Jacky Cheung using the same melody. Later, the song was rewritten and translated for Jacky Cheung to Mandarin under the title "Late Autumn." In 2004 the Taiwanese singer Terry Lin adapted the song into a new version titled "In Deep Autumn," with lyrics written by Daryl Yao. Dimash chose the 2004 Taiwanese version arranged by Terry Lin with Mandarin lyrics for his performance at the 2017 "I Am A Singer" competition but gave it his own interpretation and titled it "Autumn Strong." This song went on to earn Dimash the "Best Foreign Singer" award during the Golden Melody Award in Hong Kong.

👉The Chinese (Autuumn Strong) and Japanese (Ikanaide/ Please, Don’t Go) versions have completely different lyrics.. Both are based on a true story. The Chinese version shows the image of leaves dancing in the autumn wind as a metaphor for how fate affected Yoshiko Yamaguchi's life. ...sad but inevitable and irrevocably The Japanese version does not want to accept the loss, is full of pain, pleads, suffers ... heartbreaking. I'm totally fascinated by how sensitively Dimash distinguishes and conveys to the listener the feelings of sadness and loneliness in the Chinese version and loss and pain in the Japanese version. Even his whisper and his breath are music... it breaks my heart and the tears keep flowing.I have never heard anything like this from a singer in my entire life. That is true mastery. The original Japanese version Ikanaide/ Don’t Go(composed 1989) is by Koji Tamaki (*1958, Japanese songwriter). The sad true story... very touching: It is about Yoshiko Yamaguchi (*1920-2014), a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan and became famous in China. However, when the war was over and she revealed her identity, she was accused of being a spy. She was deported to Japan and longed for China. Ms. Yamaguchi did not return to China until many years as deputy environment minister in the Japanese parliament. The song is a metaphor as the lyrics speak of how a person should hide what they are feeling. Koji Tamaki sent a wonderful message to Dimash, thanking him, and praising him for singing his song in Japanese. Vbloggers, they reacted to the original by Koji Tamaki, they are mesmerized and can't stop listening to him. He wrote many wonderful melodies - you should check it out: Koji Tamaki 2021, Ikanaide - kzbin.info/www/bejne/haHKn4BogsiWebM In 1993, Jacky Cheung (*1961, singer and actor in Hongkong) adapted the song into Chinese Mandarin, calling it Late Autumn: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqWwY3ipnK13aa8 The most famous interpretation In China (first performance at the Singer 2017) was that of Dimash Qudaibergen and it was his first time to sing in Chinese mandarin: Dimash - Autuumn Strong - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZ7MY5aMns-Xg9E This song brought Dimash the 'Best Foreign Singer' award at the Golden Melody Award 2017 (equivalent to the Grammy) in Hong Kong. * Great performance (Chinese version) of Dimash from Kiev 11.03.2020, the last concert before Corona paralyzed everything: kzbin.info/www/bejne/amSaenipea6NnKc * Other version of Dimash: In Moscow on March, 2019 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5bag2t4pMhlZ6s

"Ikanaide" (please don't go) Lyrics by Goro Matsui Music by Koji Tamami anything I can't see anything I have been crying all the time But it's not because of sadness It's because of the happiness comes from the warmth when you touch me ah don't go, please don't go away ah please never let us be separated ah don't go, please don't go away, just stay by my side always Someday someday you're heart will be somewhere far away and everything will turn into a memory though I'm better now though I'm better now ah don't go, please don't go away at anytime, please don't ever let go ah don't go, please don't go away please never let us be separated ah don't go, please don't go away, just stay by my side always (Goro Matsui lyricist praised Dimash for this performance saying "I've heard "Ikanaide" sung by foreign singers in my motherland tongue many times, but it is the first time for someone to sing it so beautifully in Japanese")

It's pronounced EE can nah dee. These singers coming out in the last few years seem to have a special something behind all their careers. I can't quite put it in words but it does like you said sets them apart. It's like God gave the a special dispensation to be able to have an emotional impact that goes out through their voices. Dimash is an entity by himself. What he can do is just so far beyond what others can do. Then you have the Ladies. Morissette, Sohyang, Daneliya Tuleshova, who her fellow Kazakh, Dimash, called her a national treasure and Angelina Jordan. These all seem to be able to touch something deep inside of you and your response is so visceral that sometimes it really overwhelms you. Well back to Dimash. I've watched a few of his rehearsals and he gives the same attention to details as his "real" performances. So his being in character here does not surprise me. Thanks for your reaction.

Dimash, Angelina Jordan, and So Hyang are on "that" separate category for me together..Almost spiritual listening to them--otherworldly--. That being said, time to bring back some So Hyang with "Everyone". Un friggen believable. DEFINITELY do that one with the eng subs too for added effect. Its in Korean AND English

I don't think it's fair for anyone to be put in the same category as Dimash... The amount of talent and dedication and practice puts him in a league of his own as said many times above. Respect.
@bboyshotty2 жыл бұрын
@@blackpearl7665 i agree to an extent. To me, Dimash has the highest possible ceiling, but there are still things that he doesn't do as well as So Hyang and even Angelina Jordan for that matter. That being said, there is DEFINITELY things Dimash can do that those two will NEVER be able to. Where they meet up to me is their greatness in their own ways. Its going to sound weird, but those three make a spectrum of greatness to me: Angelina Jordan can invoke emotion better than all of them, but is less technically sound (albeit, one could argue she COULD be further ahead in terms of AGE), whereas Dimash is the least emotional invoking out of the three, but has the highest technical ability. So Hyang falls in the middle, where she has MASTERED what is physically possible for her technical ability and hit such PURE tones while invoking crazy emotion, but doesn't have alien-like range like Dimash does--although it is alien compared to almost ALL other artists haha. All that being said, this is MINISCULE DEGREES of seperation between those comparisons. Ie: Dimash can DEFINITELY invoke emotion better than most of the world, just a sliiiight edge goes to those two to me. All in all, they are MY holy trinity..i'm sure others will differ. To each their own!
@blackpearl76652 жыл бұрын
Okay I freaked out until the last part where u said emotionally wise, Dimash sings better thatn the world.. I actually do not understand ppl who say that Dimash is just an alien with a freak range (I know you are not one as u explained). Take it from me and the group of dears that I befriended with from different countries, we have never cried at a performance before! All of us! But Dimash brings us to tears in a word! Personally, I'm experiencing emotions never knew existed! It really offends me to the max when someone throws this claim.. It's like I do not matter or I am a fake... For me Dimash sums the world of singing.. I still have some favorites, but for me he is all I want, expect, need and care for.. Greetings from Syria 🙏

Ikanaide is about the story of Yoshiko Yamaguchi (12 February 1920-7 September 2014) born in China of Japanese parents. She became a very popular actress there and considered herself more Chinese than Japanese, but during the Japanese occupation of China she was forced to participate in their propaganda films and the tide of public opinion turned against her. She was accused of being a collaborator and a spy, and put on trial with a death penalty pending. However, when her parentage was revealed she was then banished to Japan. Yoshiko was heartbroken about this and spent many years trying to explain her situation. The chorus says "Please don't go away" and Dimash 'channels' this anguish perfectly. Yet again, is his the master of suspenseful pauses, leaving the listener hanging on the edge, with bated breath, wondering where 'we' are going with him next!?, & carrying us gently down into beautiful resolutions. The Maestro of Voice. Yes- as you say; "In his own league." 👋👋👋😍
