Aloha! There are subtitles to most of his songs. This is in Japanese. He speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, improving in English and learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in up to 17 languages and plays 8/9 instruments. Started music school at the age of 5. He is the best technical vocalist alive! Thank you. Dimash is a well educated, experienced and phenomenal singer and performer. Please do not take this the wrong way, and I don't mean to insult, but I do not understand something. I live in North America and I have been a Dimash fan for about 5 years. I do not understand how in 2022, people have not heard of Dimash, he has 10M fans in at least 130 countries. The only thing comes to mind, people who are music lovers, who have not heard of Dimash until now... Have been living under a rock ???

This was from the most recent Tokyo Jazzfestival. He performed this song in Japanese in honor of the original which was written in Japanese and the fact he was performing for the Japanese festival. You should read up on the meaning behind this song. He first performed this song on the Chinese show "Singer" in 2017 in Chinese. The song is called Autumn Strong (in English). BORN Dınmūhammed Qanatūly Qūdaibergen 24 May 1994 (age 27) Aktobe, Aktobe Region, Kazakhstan ALMA MATER K. Zhubanov University in AktobeKazakh National University of Arts in Astana, Kazakhstan. Dimash Qudaibergen (Di-MOSH KOO-die-ber-Ghen) is a phenomenon and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He has been accepted into a program to pursue his PhD in musical composition. Kudaibergen sings in multiple musical genres. His main genre is classical crossover, but he also sings classical music (bel canto), rap, hip hop, pop, rock, classic, Opera, traditional Kazakh folk, ballad and world music. He uses musical elements, and vocal styles and techniques of many other genres, including jazz, RnB, and musical theater. His 7.7 octave range (G0 growl-D8 whistle tone) and 2 semitones, meaning he has produced notes found in 7 different octaves, which is beyond comparison. Kudaibergen is well-recognized for his extremely wide and developed vocal range from C2 to C6 to F#6 and, finally, D8. This sequence shows his lowest note sung in vocal fry and chest voice, his highest note hit with his full modal voice, his highest note hit using falsetto, and his highest overall note, hit using the whistle register. Dimash is one of the best, if not the best, singers on the planet today. He started singing lessons at 5 years old and was later found to have perfect pitch. Dimash is most widely known through his live performances and has released several albums, the first one going platinum in 37 seconds in China and triple platinum in less than an hour. It has been widely recognized that his high notes are not whistle tones but head voice. Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it is spectacular. Just go to his official KZbin channel Dimash Qudaibergen and watch his FIRST performance of the song "SOS" on the Chinese show "Singer" from 2017 where he was a contestant. He has 10 more performances from this show available to watch! Watch 2nd, 3rd and so on. He was 22 years old then. He is now 27 and has done so many things since. He is a world renowned vocalist. You cannot call Dimash just a singer. He has an 8 octive range. You will see. Dimash has been known to sing in 14 different languages. Watch everything he has done. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "SOS" 2017 "Sinful Passion" 2018, Stranger" 2021, "Diva Dance" at Bastau 2017, "Ave Maria" 2021, "Daybreak" at Bastau 2017. Each performance will leave you stunned.

Dimash's signature song is SOS (d'un terrien en détresse), which brought him fame over night at a competition for professional singers in China back in 2017. The ultimate version so far is from his digital show in 2021. As a drummer, you may enjoy Dimash's regular percussionist, an excellent musician as well, who celebrates his "big" moments on stage. His art is featured in the aforementioned SOS at the digital show 2021, in Sinful Passion, and in Know (vocalise). Looking forward to seeing more of your expert reviews of Dimash performances.

Yes, the Digital Show is the best, I completely adore it and his emotions there. Slavic Bazaar is my least favorite, the producers of this show overproduced the vocals, which for me is a crime with a voice like his. He doesn't even sound like himself there.

Welcome to dimash world where u will be stuck. SOS is a must to listen to by Dimash. And of cos a lot more of his songs that will leave u stunned. SOS has few versions. Start from singer competition back in 2017 when he just 22, at slavic bazaar twice when he won the competition there in 2015 and as a guest in 2018. Also dimash digital he made during pandemic and another in white suits at emi gala at Dubai when he awarded the best foreign artist and presented the award to his granny. Everybody has their own preference but these 4 are the most famous. For me l prefer the slavic bazaar version. Its full with emotion. U can check some other songs. U may start with songs from the 14 eps of l am a singer competition in China where he is the youngest singer and was placed as first singer to perform as he is not a chinese.

This one is in Japanese but Dimash sings in 15 languages. He also has absolute pitch, over a seven octave range, and can sing in any genre from opera to rap.

A brilliant well informed reaction to Dimash. I thoroughly enjoyed it. His musical arranger is Erlan Bekchurin and one of Dimash's closest friends. They have been working together since Dimash was a teenager. Dimash often says that Erlan knows exactly what's in his head before he even says it. Dimash has perfect pitch and so what seems risky for other artists is something fairly usual for him. We've actually heard him sing the notes and modulation for a piece he was producing when the flute player wasn't getting it right and he sounded exactly like the flute! My recommendation would be SOS 2021 from the Dimash Digital Show.

The fact that you picked up that it was a breakup song just proves how amazing Dimash is at conveying meaning and emotions !! Ikanaide means "don’t go" in Japanese (a language Dimash doesn’t speak, he’s covering an original song). It’s about someone begging their partner not to leave them.

Must watch "stranger" by him , its his own song and show of almost everything of his range from high to low. Belt, mix, falsetto, growl, melissmas etc. Its such an amazing song. After, see his other side. A bit of MJ vibes, watch "fly away" at New wave 2021 and "be with me" MV. There is Also a bit of rap in "Be with me". This song was in Japanese, but Dimash is from Kazakhstan and sings in many languages. Best songs to START are Olympico, Sinful Passion, Samaltau, and Opera 2... there are so many!

There is more behind the reason for Dimash's body movements as he sings, he's more than just inviting in the audience into the performance. Think of Dimash's lungs as an accordion taking in air and letting it out, each button you touch is either a note, or pitch change, or an intake of air as you expand the air chamber, all based on the flow of air being pushed in or out of the instrument. Dimash is a human accordion. Lifting your arms up and wide opens your chest allowing for those power or long held notes. His vocal cords are those buttons he touches for the perfect sound. To understand better what I mean study his body movements in his video "Ave Maria" he's expanding his chest with wide arm motions to hold the notes longer. Also just before the last long held note he shifts his stance bracing for the power needed in his body core to release the air for the desired length of time and pitch.
