Dimash's vibrato "shake" on this specific song has been the topic of many reactions. I'm a 79 year old retired vocal coach, singer, performer, and I have studied Dimash in great detail. Like many other singer/vocal coaches, I find it to be a bit surprising also. Dimash is one of the most highly trained vocalists in the world and is well known for his amazingly controlled natural vibrato. Some people believe he was overly nervous because he was performing "Adagio" which was written and performed by one of his greatest idols, Lara Fabian.

Он еще потому нервничал, что на предыдущем туре набрал мало баллов и должен был этот выиграть во что бы то ни стало... Да и песня для этого выигрышная...

About the cranial shake, it looks like it is intensified by the lighting as the mike is casting a shadow on Dimash’s chin. Shot from a different angle, I believe the cranial shake will not appear as pronounced if at all.

You’re right, you know. When asked how high he can sing, he never answers with a note. He says, that’s not important. The important thing is to convey your emotions and feelings to the listener successfully using whatever tools you have. About the opening heartbeat: it’s a signature of the Singer show. They use it to introduce every single performer.

Dimash apart from singing in 12 languages and speaking in three, is a multi-instrumentalist (piano, guitar, drums, xylophone, dombra, etc). In case you didn't know, he is also an advertising model and with his great height (6.3 feet) and enviable physique he can do it with great success. In the future we will see more facets of Dimash that we still do not know. In any case all fantastic !! With Adagio he won one of the stages of "I am a singer" in China 2017. In total he won three stages and finished with a very commendable second place for being the only Asian who did not speak Mandarin Chinese. This contest catapulted him into the world and now we can enjoy his music thanks to this contest.

If you want to see Dimash singing in his language and in a different environment (being in a white room with only 2 other musicians), you should go for "SAMALTAU" from the Tokyo Jass Festival. The heartbeat isn't part of the song. It's a thing that the Singer show does before every performance. I think it's their way of indicating that the performance is about to start and creating a bit of tension. You will have heard that same heartbeat sound before Dimash's performance of SOS and you will hear it on any performance you watch from Singer.

I was living in China during the Singer. After his first performance, which was SOS, he was an immediate star. The heart beat is the production's notice to be quiet, they are starting. Suggest you watch all those songs because he hasn't repeated them all such as Hello and Opera 2. His voice has matured and he has gotten even better. Some people have said he overacts in his songs but it was exactly perfect for a Chinese audience. Someday when you get a chance, watch his show in New York City. His first album reached platinum in 37 seconds and triple platinum within the first hour!

Dimash begins sitting by playing the piano, soft voice and then stands up and continues. He ends up on the other side of the stage kneeling and with crazy high notes are D5/E5/F5 for 14 sec. amazing ending. .......greetings from a Mexican Dear!.....❤️👏🏻🇲🇽🇰🇿

Welcome back! If you get to know Dimash more, you won't be surprised that he takes the earpiece out of his left ear because he does it very, very often. And as for the emotions he puts into the song ... this is his strength, he sings with all his heart and with himself. He once said that if he doesn't feel a song, even if it is the most beautiful, he won't sing it. And those long notes? .... Dimash has even longer notes on his account. It's his, you might say, a hallmark. As for playing the piano ... Dimash won a piano competition at the age of fiveI . Just for the news Dimash is a composer, instrumentalist, plays the piano, drums and traditional Kazakh "dombra" instrument . Website en.dimashnews.com/

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than nine languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "Popera" he also has a very pleasant, Humble and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, Tenor, Soprano, against Tenor, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato,whistle tone, reaching a D8 live at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 192 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from Venezuela🇻🇪, "Dears" Forever ❤️👍🏻 Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. The wobbling jaw is not habitual with him, if you look closely you'll see that his whole head is shaking in this performance. Which may be him adding drama, but I think it was fatigue at this point. During that period he worked all over China & abroad, he did over 70 flights in 47 days or something crazy like that. Look how pale & thin he is. And yet he blasts out something like this! He's amazing ❤️

Such chin tremors are natural with such vibrato (such amplitude). As well as trembling the head with this later intensity (compression) of the sound, similar eg in Opera 2 at the end.
@maykacha4987
@maykacha4987 3 жыл бұрын
@@EK-tf2eo actually, for Dimash, it is not. If you look at the time he sang Opera 2 off the singer, no head shaking. He also never shook his head in other versions of Adagio. He said himself he was extremely nervous during his time on the singer. My guess he put so much pressure on himself it just happened. That and the exhaustion probably did play into it. The only time recently I have seen his jaw tremble is when he sang the song for his mentor who passed from Covid. My guess the emotions.
@EK-tf2eo
@EK-tf2eo 3 жыл бұрын
@@maykacha4987 I am an active opera singer and I know how organically the body and skeleton react to certain technical elements. Jaw tremors in the jaw occur at specific vibrates, intensities, and resonance sites. Sometimes a certain sound effect cannot be achieved without resonating in the skeletal system. Look at jazz.
@maykacha4987
@maykacha4987 3 жыл бұрын
@@EK-tf2eo I did not say it cannot occur. It just does not with Dimash. Look at his performances since the singer. Not once in his Adagio performances has it occurred again. Not, had it occurred with Opera 2 just a few weeks later when he sang it on a fun TV show in China or when he did the funny version in Kazakhstan tv. When his emotions were high as with the song for his mentor or at the singer where it happened on more than one song and he was full of nerves, emotions and most likely exhausted to a point it did. Yes, can it be a thing for some yes. Though in general it is not good technique. Dimash is highly trained, skilful to the extreme and in general blessed with a calm nature. In all those other performances he is hitting the same notes with the same intensity and yet, no jaw or head shaking.

Okay, I think one of your other viewers addressed the heartbeat (intro from The Singer). This “song” is a cover of Lara Fabien’s Adagio. My suspicion is that she wrote lyrics for the classical piece Adagio (attributed to Albinoni - may not actually be Albinoni, but that’s a separate controversy for a different discussion.). Dimash has identified Lara Fabien as one of his role-models and she has a history of collaborating with Igor Krutoy and has now performed with Dimash and worked with him (I suspect that most musicians whom Dimash has identified as role-models would jump at the opportunity to perform or collaborate with Dimash. Igor Krutoy himself came out of retirement to work with Dimash and has written such works as Ogni Pietra and I Miss You.)

He can manage a dance routine too though he says he’s not really a dancer, but has tried hard with that because the fans asked for it, Give me your love is a pop song in English where he does a sort of Michael Jackson routine and he does a M,J. Compilation at one of his concerts and he dances. On the Zi Am Singer show, which this Adagio performance comes from, he does M.J. Songs and plays drums for a short while. He plays dombra on Daidedau, another song from I Am Singer comp. on Screaming video, he plays piano and drums and does all backing singing tracks,

Love your reaction videos. Have you reacted to the original version of Adagio by Lara Fabian? She is one of Dimash's inspirations. She also writes the lyrics for Your Love. Warmest regards from Indonesia.

It's a Lara Fabian song (you reacted to Dimash singing with her and Aida Garafulina earlier), based on the Adagio in G Minor, supposedly by 18th century composer Tomaso Albinoni, but maybe constructed in the 20th century from fragments thereof. Lara is one of Dimash's vocal idols.

great video??? HA HA HA!!! His interruptions are twice as long as the song. He's not reacting, he is analyzing and critiquing the song. Don't tell me he has to stop and start the video or he will be demonetized. That was what the commercials were for.

Yes, concerning the vibrato shake. As far as I can tell, he’s never done it on any of his other performances. So, I’ve always felt that this was done for a dramatic visual addition or effect to this particular performance. He definitely does not need it!

Really enjoy your Dimash reactions, you bring a very interesting perspective and you actually have something to add to the discussion and not only leave your jaw hanging open. But, as much as you mention them, you still haven’t heard any whistle notes from Dimash, that’s all head voice. For whistle, try the following performances: Drunken Concubine Kazakhstan song Unforgettable Day (Gakku) for the famous and never repeated again D8
