You're absolutely right .... he's Dimash. No one else like him, imo. I love your observation re. his shirt. I don't know if you realized that he was actually wearing a sleeveless jacket that was half black and half white over the white shirt. I can't describe what I get from Dimash's music and his voice. All I know is that it reaches inside my body and touches my heart and soul and I haven't gone one day within the past four years without listening to him. 🙂 Thank you for another great reaction!

Here’s to Dimash. Thanks for another great reaction. Russian composer, Igor Krutoy (who’s also the pianist) wrote this song specially for Dimash at his request. Together, the two of them have created many beautiful new songs. Igor writes specially to cater to Dimash’s exceptional range, ability and technique. Igor had already retired but he came out of retirement to work with Dimash. In a Russian TV interview, Igor said his mother had told him he needs to write songs for younger singers. But he replied that there aren’t any younger singers who can sing his songs. That’s why he decided to retire... and then he met Dimash. And the rest as they say, is history.

Why should we be surprised that when Dimash comes to Igor and asks him to compose a new vocalize version of "Ave Marie" that we get pure magic, and by using only the 3 main notes?? For me, this choice of vocalize with no words was an absolutely BRILLIANT one. By eliminating the possibilities of various languages and cultural impressions, misunderstandings, or misinterpretations, Dimash makes it UNIVERSAL. He pulls us up from our 3rd Dimension into the 4th, where our dreams and meditations lie. This performance has affected my life down to my very soul, and as for me, I plan on listening to this at least once a day for the rest of my life. And watch as Dimash goes deeper into inhabiting this song than I have ever seen him with any other. I have never seen him take longer to settle into a song, and especially watch his eyes at the end. Even after almost 20 seconds after the last note has been sung he STILL has not "come out of it." I am certain he was in the 4th Dimension as he performed this for the world. Even his mother says there are times when he goes so deep that she barely recognizes him.

Не менее известна версия Ave Maria Баха (прелюдия 18 века) и Гуно (спустя 130 лет он дополнил произведение Баха и получилась пьеса, которая аранжировалась для фортепиано, скрипки и для вокального варианта). При чем обе эти композиции (Шуберта и Баха/Гуно) изначально были написаны на другие тексты, которые были заменены на молитвенный уже другими людьми после смерти композиторов. Вы также наверняка слышали Ave Maria Владимира Вавилова, выпущенную в 1970 г. (иногда авторство этой композиции приписывают Д.Каччини, жившему в 17м веке). Не судите по названию - слушайте музыку! Это лишь три наиболее популярных версии (а существует около 50), которые абсолютно разные. А произведение Игоря Крутого, думаю, уже стало 4-ой из популярнейших Аве Марий ))

He is kind, humble, greatful, and appreciative, for everything and everyone. He calls his fans, his dears. Maybe I misunderstood what you meant, I just think it is wrong to say that the purpose of this song is to demonstrate his vocal range and so on, just because there are no lyrics. I think the purpose is to give us A heavenly experience. And that is what he did. This performance evokes so many emotions in me.

Thanks for your reaction. Regarding the fact that there is no lyrics, you should listen to Know, vocalise version (the version with lyrics is also stunning). This is one of the most powerful Dimash's performance, you can see him singing from another dimension. This is the effect his voice has on me: it instantaneously opens the door towards another dimension, only full of his voice, which directly targets my soul. I listened to Know hundreds and hundreds times, and every time, EVERY time, it is like an uppercut in my soul. This is why he is so more than an incredible vocalist... Please continue your Dimash's journey, there are still so many masterpieces in his repertoire!

Dimash is the ultimate Master Class for any musician. Although his Masters Degree is in Composition. He has 22 years of professional training, Dimash trains 3 hrs. every day, and then trains physically. How else could he give 2 to 3 hour solo concerts? Maintain his breath control, and his graceful body movements. The mic is great. Keep it.

From Dimash voice I take feelings. Deep feelings. There's something about his voice that I can't even explain. It's more about the nature of his voice and less about the exact notes he hits. Dimash is tremendously musically educated as starting his music and vocal lessons from the age of 5 until now working toward his PhD in musicology.. But in addition he was born with the ability to sing as a true soprano as a child and never lost the ability even after puberty gave him the additional ability to sing in the lower man's range. As one of the music elders of Kazakhstan stated, he is a once in a thousand year talent. His whistle register currently starts around G6 through D8 and he appears to be working on extending his soprano (super head voice) to the G6 (he regularly goes up to an F6/ F#6). And of course his current lowest full chest voice is C2. Not counting lower growls. Regardless his true genius is not his vocal range but his ability to use every vocal and performance tool at his fingertips to create musical masterpieces. Some of his most beautiful pieces are soft and gentle for the majority of the song. (Some but not all: Ikanaide, Amanat, If I Never Breath Again, Only You, Couldn't Leave, Eternal Memories, Give Me Love, My Swan, Moonlight Mother, We Are One, Omir Oter, Quiran Elim and of course the new composition Ave Maria.)

Here's to Dimash! Found him in 2017 and can not go a day, rarely a few hours without hearing him. Flew to New York to see his concert in 2019 and it was amazing.

Dimash sang soprano in his youth choir and he went through puberty, his classical voice coach helped him keep that high range. He was was just able to then go lower as well.
