I love your reactions. For instance, you pointed out Dimash's use of his mic to achieve his desired effect for this song. Most reactors neglect to mention that Dimash pays exquisite attention to mic control, both in the studio as seen here and on stage. He is a super star in that regard as well!

Hola Carl. It's my favourite Dimash song too. He's sung the Chinese version many times but the lyrics are completely different and he sings it quite differently. It's titled Autumn Strong if you want to compare the two. The Singer performance was exquisite but my favourite is the Kiev performance where he's just sitting on a stool and then at the end stands away from the mic and ends the song with the power of his voice alone. He did ask the audience once if they wanted the Chinese or Japanese version, when it appeared to be a mixed answer he laughed and said okay, Kazakh. In the end he switched between languages throughout the song and sang it in both Chinese and Japanese. I'm afraid I can't recommend any other artists, although I've tried listening to others, once you've heard Dimash you find yourself making comparisons and everyone else comes out unfavorably. His ability to switch styles and tonal qualities is unrivalled.

OMG! you and I are kindred spirits😂. This is my favorite song of his AND of allnof his renditions of it the Kiev version is my absolute favorite! AND I too struggle to listen to anyone else but Dimash. EVERYONE else falls short! I have yet to be able to get thru this song without tears, and watching him perform it live in NY was so surreal! I ugly cried and I didn't care who saw me😂😂😂😂

@@belle1761 you are so lucky, I've still to see him live in concert. I'm waiting for him to come back to Europe. I've gone in and listened to many new artists that get compared to him as I at least want to understand why, but each time I'm just left thinking that the people who compare must have no ear for music or eye for performance as no one matches him for either voice or stage presence. He is complete in every area whereas others are all lacking somewhere, whether it be in the tonality or the emotional quality or even just his incredible aura and charisma.

I so agree! The only other male singer that I can listen to that doesn’t bore me right away is Hua Chenyu. Still, I can listen to Dimash all day long, but only a few songs by Hua. Van Dasc is pretty good too, but one song is enough for me.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL reaction, as always!! 👏👏🙏🙏 I knew this would really blow your socks of..! 😅 For an earlier Dimash : "Adagio" from the chinese singing competition "I am a Singer, 2017".... 🥹😍 The judges gave him a Bruno Mars song the week before, and it didn't suit him very well so he actually nearly lost that round (and would've been sent home, out of the competition). But he came back the next round with "Adagio", and sang FOR HIS LIFE, like this was the last song he would ever sing...... 😳😳🤯🤯 And of course won that round easy, peasy... 😁😅🙏 Peace and much Love from Fellow-Dear in Sweden! 💙💛💙💛💙

What can I say? Dimash is DEVINE! I LOVE that song. But please don't think you experienced Dimash at his best. How about discovering a different side which is extremely precious to him? He loves to sing songs with Kazakh influence. I recommend Samaltau. There are so many shades of him. Did you know he raps as well? In Kazakh (Be with me), and he makes whole concert halls sing along Kazakh songs with him. His interaction with us dears in his concerts is something very special. Check out Daididau or Mahabbat ber Magan or Unforgettable Day, live versions of recent concerts, preferably from Stranger Concert in Almaty (on his KZbin channel). There's a quite rocky Kazakh song as well: Durdaraz. You're journey has just begun! Enjoy!

Thank you for your reaction. Your analysis is top level! Yes, it's nice to know Dimash wanted the music stand there, even if he didn't use it. He must have the Chinese lyrics to Autumn Strong (same melody) burned into his brain, and having the different Japanese lyrics on hand seems a wise move.

I love everything Dimash sings but, this has been and will always be my favorite. Even though he is in a recording studio, he still gives a stage-worthy performance. I love how he uses his hand as if he is conducting himself. This song is simply perfection. The humming at the end makes me catch my breath every time I hear it. Even though I am a Dimash "Dear", I still try to be fair. I did listen to the original singer, Koji Tamaki's performance, and I really enjoyed it. Although he had a wonderful orchestra accompanying him, Dimash seemed to elevate it to another dimension. As you go further into Dimash's music, I hope you will how he made Eric Carmen's song All By Myself his very own. It is the performance from "The Singer 2017. EVERYTHING about was fantastic. Dimash, the orchestra, the lighting, and the backup singers. Thank you for your Diamsh videos. I do enjoy your comments as well as how you react. Waiting for more.

Ditto!! No one for me. My playlist is all Dimash!! If people wonder why he does not have many views? My personal opinion is that Dimash has not signed up with any major studios contracts. He is independent and prefers it for the time being. They can create short term wonders who eventually disappear after a few hits. This young man is so talented & independent and marches to the beat of his own drums! You know what they say, Slow and steady wins the race. He has staying power. He also comes from a very cultured background. Family, Country, Friends, humility reign supreme in his life. That’s the reason he has super Fans - that would be us, his DEARS! Thank you! Thank you! You have so many more incredible Dimash songs to react to. Some of my favourites are Love is Like a Dream (version where he is seated, wearing a burgundy suit), Samaltau (superb Kazakh folk song), Omir (his gift to us Dears on his birthday), Ti Amo Cosi (trio with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina). I also love his MV for Be With Me, which shows a totally different side of Dimash (to gue-in-cheek) pop song with James Bond vibes and a surprise. I am sure you will love it. And I can’t forget The Story of One Sky, his amazing masterpiece, a work of art which he spent 3 years on. He composed the music, wrote the lyrics and screenplay for the MV and acted and sang in it. And he shows off even more new techniques that he has mastered. Truly mind blowing, with a beautiful message of peace for mankind.

Yes, this is a beautiful song! I may have already said this, but I really like Dimash's breath in "Qairan Elim". There are several times when he gives it a little squeak! It's one of my favourite songs and isn't reacted to that often. A must see is his totally new version of "Ave Maria" with no words (so you won't have to feel badly if it leaves YOU with no words to say also!) I also recommend "The Meaning of Eternity". You may enjoy taking a look at (and perhaps even reacting to) some of the videos in the "The Ultimate Guide to Dimash" series. They are VERY well done and each is short (5-10 min) and deals with a particular aspect of Dimash. They are by LiLaSi and were made to be shard and watched. 🇨🇦

His ability to balance on the very edge between breath and and barely a sound without “falling out of tone” so to speak is more impressive then the full belt. To really have a whole picture you should listen to him singing some of his native Kazakh songs. He is so adorably proud of his heritage. My personal favorite is Qaragym-ai 2020 - during the lockdown, without an audience just him and a pianist both giving a heartbreaking tribute to the composer, their teacher and mentor who died of COVID. There is a series of videos “The ultimate Dimash guide” put together from various interviews about his training, his approach to music, his background, the person he is. People are astonished by his voice but they love him because of the thoughtful, gentle, respectful human being behind the voice.

Maybe not a jazz song? but neither were the previous songs Dimash has done for the Tokyo Jazz Festival. I think they make an exception for the greatest vocal artist in the world.😂 (SOS and Samaltau.) If you haven't heard/seen his Samaltau, a Kazakh folk song yet, it's a must to get to understand Dimash, singing in his native language. When Dimash performed this he already had his master's and was in university for his Doctorate of Musicology. I know he's close to getting said PhD but haven't found news that he has yet... But yeah WOW what dedication! And! He's not even 30 yet!

When this sing came out I was holding my dying cat, the love of my life, and I felt the pain and the pleading along with him each time he said Ikanaide....please don't go 😢 Now I close my eyes and cry with the beauty and emotion he produces

Thank you, my DEAR Carl, it´s lovely to see your reaction, when you forget everything.. Don´t worry about the explanations, which you do beautifully and very professionally. I have learned a lot through your expertise but please, do enyoy the emotions and experience them, there is only one first time! And when you think you know what to expect: here comes "BE WITH ME" MJ hommage, James Bond, Jacki Chan and suddenly an he is an actor with great camera and a story to be continued....

You are only the 2nd person I’ve heard mention the breathy “after-notes”. Love your detailed reactions! Dimash is a musical genius! I’ve never reacted to any voice as strongly as I do to Dimash. The fact that it doesn’t matter if I don’t speak the language, speaks volumes!

OMG!! you nailed it with this analysis!!!! This is my all time favorite song (if it is possible to have a favorite one). The first time I saw him perform this song was the Mandarin version on Singer. It was without the benefit of subtitles. I didnt understand a word and yet I could not stop the tears from flowing. Later when I saw it with subtitles I understood why. 6 years later and I still can't stop crying EVERY SINGLE TIME!!. And amazingly enough, every time he sings this song he gives it a different spin. No 2 versions are ever the same! My favorite rendition so far has been from his Kiev concert.

You are such a good reactor! I think Dimash 'plays' his body like an instrument, like you commented on as directing himself. He did do martial arts and learned how to move his body for singing. He not only had great musical instruction, he has a musical family and was gifted with everything he needed to reach this amazing level. The body he was born with is extraordinary at 6'3", the way he had dedicated himself to training ( gave up drinking anything cold since he was 10yo- joked about how he orders his cola with boiling water added to make it warm; swims daily underwater laps for breath control, etc.) but what a heart, what a spirit, what a humanitarian! He's here to change the world to receive more love, to be more loving. I think everyone senses this in a way- so many say he's either an angel or an alien. That's my out of the box description! I agree that this is one of his very best. I listened to a reaction by a Japanese singer and he was delighted and amazed with Dimash's pronounciation of the language.

I would really like it if you could react not only to his performances but also to videos about Dimash as a person, outside the stage, and his interaction with his family, his Dears, and his friends, in order to get to know him not only as the vocal beast he is but also as the humble, fun, and loving boy he is offstage. There is a series of great videos called "The Ultimate Dimash Guide" that compiles moments from his life.

After watching the videos you have watched so far, you must believe us now when we say that EVERY song has a different feeling and "easter egg" in it. It doesn't matter what genre you liked before, he either sings it, or it no longer matters to you. It's very hard to listen objectively to anyone else after Dimash. You will notice EVERY flat note, every mistake without trying.

✨LYRICS IN BOTH SONGS 🎶 ARE EVERYTHING✨ Autumn Strong 🇨🇳 & lkanaide 🇯🇵 There’s a historic backstory 🥺China WWII Japan😢💙 This older performance of Dimash in China’s “I’m a singer” competition. He learned Chinese in a week 🇨🇳 Now he’s learned Japanese and sings the original version for Japan 🇯🇵 The JAZZ FESTIVAL was during LOCKDOWN 😯 This puts his language count at 13 at the time of this recording 💿 His HONOR is showing again‼️🤗 Dimash “Autumn Strong” “BACKSTORY” 👀 🇨🇳 with subtitles kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIm0ZmuLYqqXmsk Dimash Ikanaide 🇯🇵 with subtitles kzbin.info/www/bejne/bp6wXpWmarV1aZY KOJI TAMAKI - IKANAIDE ORIGINAL SONG 🇯🇵 with subtitles kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJuWkpVtmNqSaZI I love how he’s blended the 🇯🇵 & 🇨🇳 songs together with the warble in the beginning’s, and the vocalizing “Her” at the ending’s 🥺😥 The song writer 🎼 praised Dimash on his getting the “Ah’s” 🎶 so perfectly to what he intended they should convey in each phase👌🎤 Well It Is Dimash‼️🤣😂💦 I also watched a Japanese reactor comment that the 🇯🇵 language is usually pronounced wrong with a hard consonant sound of most western speakers. He said that it’s different and should be weaker to get it right. He was so impressed with Dimash getting the enunciation correct ❤️🇯🇵 Well It Is Dimash‼️🤣😂💦 ❤️2U&2ALLU❤️🦌🦌💫🌎🇺🇸

Wonderful reaction! I knew you would appreciate this beautiful, emotional song. This was recorded in a studio due to COVID restrictions and I think this resulted in a masterpieces. Love this song and love your reactions! Another of my favorites is Ave Maria which also has a mind blowing ending on top of being sung in angel voice. ♥️

PS None of his fans will mind at all if you choose to do several versions of the same song. A heartbreakingly beautiful choice would be to compare the 2016 Qaragym-Ai song version with his 2020 version. Please read the backstory of the song and the circumstances in which he performed each one. Both are extraordinary.
