Technically speaking, the two awards are: "Best Vocalist in Classical Music" with "Olympcio" (Ogni Pietra) and "Discovery of the Year" @ the Russian National Music Awards "Victoria" in 2019. "Master of everything," that's what Dimash is. Thank you for your brilliant response, Madeleine. The video itself is a fancam recording, which has become very popular. The Russian Maestro Igor Yakovlevich Krutoi was commissioned to compose an anthem for the opening ceremony of the 2nd European Olympics, Minsk, Belarus, late June 2019. Igor Yakovlevich wrote the music but in a way that would call for two performers, one for the low and the other for the high notes. He asked Dimash, which would you like to sing? Dimash looked at the note sheets replying, "I'd like to do both of them." The Italian lyrics are by the Russian poetess Lilia Vinogradova. The current video is not from the Misnk Olympic performance rather a later one. A rumour has it that there were Japanese organisers of the Tokyo Olympics present at the Minsk games, and that they are about to invite Dimash to perform at the opening of the Olympics 2020.

PLEASE keep doing so and so you know famous composer, the bald headed piano player you will see in recent songs Maestro Igor Krutoy joined Dimash with the plan to compose several new songs just for him in addition to the multitude of songs he already has for him to sing. This song AKA Olympico was the first & the second is another Italian op-era song Passione. You can hear both as well as other songs at Igor's annual festival New Wave 2019. Igor also reworked his song Know for Dimash. He also had his 1st U.S. concert in New York on Dec. 10th that sold out.

Dimash has a Dear here in New Zealand, it's 4 in the morning & I've been up since 3am with Dimash keeping me company. I am always sleepless around these early hours of the morning-why? Oh I love your review. I agree that Dimash pulls us into his sphere. We are mesmerised by his voice and total presence. I listen to this gem of a young man everyday. I have never felt this way about an artist for years. Madeleine, thanks for bringing it. Dimash is almost like we here in Brazil call "Demais", meaning "Amazing". It's Dimash or It's Demais! I never heard of him until this year, I think. In this song he was using only falseto or in the bass part he used his chest voice? I can't explain the size he opens his mouth. Everything he did was beautiful in this presentation, it is as you said olympic performance. Let's say he is prepared to compete if we had olympics for singers. Ogni Pietra The author Igor Krutoy tell us that he wrote an “opera” but a difficult piece for two opera singers, and ask Dimash which part do you like to sing?....and Dimash say yes!....Dimash is not an opera singer but He has classical vocal Techniques (He has three) and the same subject and do it wonderfully!...for that reason love you Dimash! Correction: Igor Krutoy composed Ogni Pietra for Dimash alone. IK is so in tune with DQs capabilities and his need to constantly challenge himself, as evident in the close friendship between the two. There was a joke going around in Russia about IK asking D which part of OP he would like to sing, high or low? and that D's reply was - Both! Opera humour😄 a solo of different voice types in the one opera piece is unheard of.

He’s from Kazakhstan and has a very musical family: his mother sings opera and his father is a singer, music producer and now Dimash’s manager. His little brother has played dombra (2-stringed lute, traditional Kazakh instrument) with him in his last few concerts and his younger sister also has a beautiful voice.
