Dimash sings in so many languages that noone can understand them all. When listening to Dimash I prefer to look up the lyrics first and then just listen to the song or listen first and check the lyrics afterwards. DImash is so good at bringing emotion when performing so even if you donæt understand the language you feel the song, reading the lyrics when listening will also take away the attention from his performance and they are worth watching as everything he does is intentional. Dimash is indeed from Kazakhstan. Was singing in French on a Chinese show. He was 22 there and is now 26. He has studied vocally since age 5 and is classically and pop vocals. This song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight. This video is 4 years old, if you can believe his voice has now matured and his range expanded further from a deep rich bass baritone to a coloratura soprano and whistle notes that are off the top of the piano. Yes the song is a French song and the people were the other contestants but its not a talent show, these are highly respected professional artists. Dimash is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan, he started singing lessons and 5 when it was found he has perfect pitch. He is university educated with degrees in classical opera, another in contemporary music, pop and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has just (18th June 2020) completed his Masters specialising in Composition and Piano, and receiving his Masters degree with Honours, having achieved the maximum score of 100% and has just started his PhD in Musicology. His range is over 6 octaves (7 now) but Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn but again he is doing well with it. In this performance he was 22 and in a competition for famous professional singers in China he was invited as a wildcard and was the only non Chinese and also the youngest competitor. After this one song was catapulted to stardom and is now a huge pop in China. He is now also famous in Russia mainly for his neo classical work with Igor Krutoy and many of those works are very operatic. His vocals range from a rich bass baritone through to an extremely high soprano and his whistle register has hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato. He was on a solo world tour until covid-19 and in his concerts he sings for around 3 hours with an eclectic mix of styles. He is from a very musical family both parents and his sister sing, mother is a soprano. Dimash was offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far, but I suspect world domination will soon come his way. He is a multi instrumentalist too and is very competent with 8 instruments but can play just about anything. He is 26 now, and is mostly known as a live performer, he has released a triple platinum (in 37 seconds) album in China though, and is about to releasehis 2nd album shortly. It has been recognised that his high notes are not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does its spectacular like everything else about him. He has billions of fans worldwide and I am definitely one of them, and he calls us his Dears, as we are all as dear to him as his family, and he means it, he knows who helped to make him famous. He is a softly spoken, polite, elegant and very humble respectful young man. Jeder andere hat Dimash danach sofort in seine Playliste aufgenommen und mehr und mehr Videos von ihm gezeigt, jeder hat feststellen können, was das für ein großes Ausnahmetalent ist. Und über 90% würden da völlig versagen, weil heute die Studiotechnik so weit vorangeschritten ist, das fast jeder sauber singen würde. Live nur live macht sich ein Talent bemerkbar. Selbst da wird heute viel geschummelt. Ich bin aus Italien und zwar an der deutsch sprechenden Minderheit nahe der Schweiz. Hier sollte schon im letzten Jahr ein Science Fiction Film starten Across Endless Dimension so der Titel von Dimash Song auf dem Soundtrack Creator - The Past. Leider hat sich der Start bis Ende 2020 verzögert wegen dem Corona Virus und aktuell ist wieder alles dicht. Dadurch ist er auch in Europa einem breiten Publikum bekannt geworden. Yes, he has a huge following. You just viewed a video from 2017. You have seen the very tip of the iceberg where Dimash is concerned. In Dec of 2019, he performed a sold out concert at the Barclays Center in New York. People from I believe they said 54 countries flew in to see this concert. I flew there from Texas and it was amazing. Check out Dimash, Sinful Passion. He sings in multiple languages so check for subtitles. One song in English recently performed is Across Endless Dimensions which is from the sound track of a Sci Fi movie. The composer of the song looked on the internet for the most beautiful voice in the world and found Dimash listed.
