And in a positively BRILLIANT move, by singing it without words, there is no possibility of any mistranslations. It transcends. He manages to lift people to heaven with just one vowel. He leaves me speechless every time I hear this song. And I love it when the drums come in. It's so unique. Igor Krutoy (the gentleman at the piano) composed this version of the Ave Maria at Dimash's request. Did you know that there are more than 100 versions of the Ave Maria? Now there is one more. Usually, Ave Maria is a prayer to the Holy Virgin Mary. In this case, however, it is a prayer for all people, no matter what religion they belong to. Besides that Dimash is a Muslim and Igor Kurtoy, who often accompanies him on the piano, is Jewish. That is why this Ave Maria has no lyrics, since it is not only sung for Christians. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian-Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating. This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. Don't apologise for being emotional. The first time I saw this I was in floods of tears too. I find it hard to watch a reactor with Dimash and keep my eyes out from watching him and concentrate on the reactors face because like you said he draws you into the performance and you can't help yourself from watching him. Angie...it's ok. Dimash does that to people...not intentionally wanting them to cry but instead to feel 🥰😥💞 There's a reason there're no lyrics in Dimash's version of Ave Maria. When Dimash asked Igor Krutoy to compose this prayer he wanted it to be for peoples of all religions and of no religion❣❣❣ Additionally, he wanted it to be for people who spoke any and all languages. And so didn't want to be bound by any words or lyrics. Instead he wanted this prayer to be conveyed via sounds and frequencies. What a novel and beautiful idea 🌷🌺🌷 I believe, that's why it touches the hearts, souls and the depths of our beings when we hear it...and bring out all kinds of emotions 🤗😥😶😀😮😭

Thank you Angie for your genuine reactions and heartfelt emotions. There is no other like Dimash. So much talent and a very humble beautiful soul inside and out. I am 68 and think of him as a grandson. I discovered him on the Singer so that will probably always be favorite for me. And being able to see him grow is a treasure. I mean, this song is on the same high level as Schubert's or Vavilov's (Caccini's) Ave Maria... also beyond all spirituality, just wonderful music. * Igor Krutoy ( piano), *1954 in Ukraine SSR. He lives and works in Moscow/Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family lives in the US. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship. Maestro Igor Krutoy shared the story of the creation of the work 'Ave Maria' for Dimash. When writing a hit, Krutoy is guided by the Italian principle: every composer is worth exactly what his latest work is worth, which means that all previous successes and achievements do not count. “On one of the nights, about three months before New Wave, Dimash called and asked if I could write 'Ave Maria' for him and he explained that he wanted to sing something in that style... Coincidentally, I had a spare evening, and I happily sat down at the piano and, inspired by the memory of the Italian formula of responsibility, worked until I achieved the desired result.
