Димаш отлично справился со своей задачей. Это не сольный концерт Димаша, где он сам решает, как ему исполнять свои песни, это уже готовая композиция от китайских организаторов, заранее продуманная новая аранжировка и подача этой песни. Понятно же, что было согласовано и то, как Димаш будет её исполнять, какие вариации своего голоса использовать, какой темп задавать. Димашу предоставили готовый материал и он, повторяю, отлично справился. В дополнении с хором детей песня получилась интересная и по своему уникальная. Не сомневаюсь, что если бы у Димаша была возможность самому подготовить эту песню, то он бы сделал её на высшем уровне. Все его каверы, где он принимает личное участие, просто сногшибательны и очень эффектны! У Димаша потрясающее видение того, как должна выглядеть та или иная композиция. Не зря же он категорично настоял на собственном варианте исполнения французской песни SOS на проекте I'm singer в Китае в 2017. Ему предложили уже готовый вариант этой песни, но Димашу она не понравилась и он настоял на собственной аранжировке этой песни и своём видении, как её преподнести зрителям. В итоге организаторы пошли ему навстречу и Димаш в итоге блестяще выступил с этой песней в первом туре, заняв первое место. Так что не понимаю негативных комментариев от отдельных слушателей. Сначало вникните в ситуацию, а потом критикуйте.

I knew the song. In my opinion Dimash killed it. No Barbra, or Elaine can come of close to his performance. With all due respect to those singers. But can't compare the sun to the moon. The difference is massive. Despite the light that was produced by both.

We would get bored of Dimash if he gave out only masterpieces: he is constantly looking for new ways in music, experimenting with the presentation of musical material, using the phenomenal capabilities of his voice, and when he sings "Stranger", this is his own original interpretation, and we accept it, and when Dimash interprets the classical the composition, then there are claims to it, because we are used to the performance of a masterpiece that is familiar to us. But if there were no such revolutionaries - musical performers, then there would be stagnation in the world musical culture.

В том то всё и дело, что Димаш не выдаёт ничего посредственного. Он гениальный творческий человек с уникальным видением и всё что он делает сам, получается именно шедеврами и никогда не сможет надоесть. У Димаша нет ни одного неудачного варианта его любого творения. Не путайте ситуации, где Димаш вынужден выступать в чужом шоу с заранее продуманным сценарием, где он исполняет ту или иную композицию так, как её видят организаторы шоу. Это не выбор Димаша, он лишь исполняет уже подготовленный и одобренный материал. Другое дело, когда Димаш имеет возможность сам продумать будущую подачу песни, как её лучше преподнести слушателям, какую аранжировку сделать. Тут Димаш всегда на высоте, потому что у него помимо многолетнего профессионального музыкального образования, абсолютного слуха и опыта работы в музыкальной индустрии, есть то, что принято называть творческим чутьём художника. А в этом плане Димаш гений нашей эпохи и всё, что он творит является именно шедеврами.

I'm sure he knew what the song was about, but was inspired to take it into a different direction based on two lines from the song. I would say this is a new song entirely, and cannot compare it to Elaine Paige's version by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber. I love that song very much. This is not that song, for there is too much change. It is a new "Memory", and looked at that way, it is beautiful, and I enjoy all the children as the little kittens. I would actually love to hear Dimash sing the original version, especially the last verses, when Grizabella begs the other cats to accept her, to touch her, to give her back a family, to let her and them understand what happiness is again, as a new day dawns. Dimash's version is the Daylight version. The original version is the night/dawn version. Dimash, thank you for this. It is cheerful and surrounds you with kittens, er, I mean children. I do prefer the original version, but there is room in this world for both, with great happiness. Your talent is undeniable. You remain my favorite singer/composer/human being of extraordinary gifts and humility. To share the Earth with you is a blessing.

I agree with you about it being the worst rendition of this song that Dimash has performed. But I don’t think Dimash would ever disrespect a song. Since he has the children’s choir, maybe he had to go along with the way it was presented. But I only watched that once! I couldn’t watch it here but wanted to see what others thought. Since Dimash has performed well over 100 songs, there is bound to be one or two performances that aren’t your own favourite. I’ve been to three overseas concerts, so I am definitely a dear. I’m 78 from U.K.

@Hunted Hello, Dear Hunted, why do you consider Dimash's interpretation of this classical composition disrespectful - he sang it in a way that no one had sung before him - Dimash is experimenting, but are experiments prohibited on the stage? Why is it not allowed to touch a classic piece using your phenomenal voice data? Does this show disrespect when Dimash sings in a classic costume, sings with a choir of angelic children, and not half-naked, covered in feathers and other absurdities that seek to shock the audience with their appearance and exalted behavior, and not with their voice, and even such shocking performers, who are now many on the world stage, are justified saying that they have the right to express themselves on the stage. And Dimash never violates the moral norms of behavior on stage and in appearance, but he has the right to express himself in music, because he has a unique voice.
