I came back to hear it again because I forgot this was the only time I remember Dimash used trebello that woodwind instruments, saxophones, and the Hammond 3 organ’s wood cabinet that has a toggle switch on the organ that the player flips and it makes the trebello sound then can be switched off. You may not have recognized that he was doing trebello as some would think it was vibrato. But, it’s not. He also does a trill of notes with the trebello. I only went to this trouble to point it out as I’ve never heard a human do it. There may be other instruments or objects that do it but hearing Dimash do it was a first and last time I’ve heard it. And to be noted this was not the tribal guttural noises made in sinful passion and the stranger sone on the Chinese show shine boys or something. This is An old song. There are many techniques that dimash uses that he doesn’t repeat. But this trebello happened so quick and and a fast cadence that I barely caught it again. They do so many crazy things in a studio but I don’t know if a human can repeat it except Dimash. You said this was 2019 that would make Dimash about 24 yrs old. What’s next? In 2017 at 22 yrs old doing sos at the singer in China at the end of sos on the last note Dimash sings the note straight goes into vibrato to end the note, but doesn’t cut the note off, but comes out of the vibrato singing the note straight and ends the note straight.I’ve never heard him repeat that technique ad never heard it in the first place. I believe I’ve never heard it before because vocal and classical teachers don’t teach vibrato that way. And they also don’t teach pick and choose where you want to use vibrato. Vibrato is used at the end of a phrase or note. But dimash started this version of sos picking and closing the place and the speed of vibratos shaking (that’s not the right word).

“Passione” was composed by world famous {but perhaps not where you live) virtuoso pianist and composer Igor Krutoy, as was “Olimpico,” “Stranger” and “Ave Maria.” I don’t quite understand why you always ask if Dimash writes every song himself. So far Dimash’s most well-known personal compositions are “Unforgettable Day,” “Screaming” and “War and Peace.” Rule of thumb: If you see Krutoy sitting at the piano, that means one of his compositions is about to be performed whether the performer is Dimash, Lara Fabian , Alga Pugacheva, or whomever. And by the way, none of the songs mentioned above are “covers” because Krutoy composed them expressly for Dimash’s voice and has stated his personal opinion that nobody else can sing them. Krutoy has often written for specific singers. “Mademoiselle Hyde” was originally written for Lara Fabian. “Love Is Like A Dream” was written for Pugacheva. I hope this answers some of your questions.

Thank you for your lovely reaction! There are different sides of passion. Passion here is an inside fight of good and evil! The girl, that represents purity touches him, and wakes him up, then she is pushing the evil away. And his high ascending notes mean resisting, fighting and win over evil.

А девочка это и есть Димаш, который связывает лживый мир поющих под фанеру(в чёрном хор на фоне ада) и настоящей музыки. 👉This epochal song was written for Dimash. Nobody but him can sing the song alone. The composer is Igor Krutoy, *1954 in Ukrainian SSSR), singer and songwriter in Ukrainian and Honored Artist and music titan in Russia (billionaire). He is a world- famous composer who came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship and work together form time to time. This song is an epic and philosophical masterpiece. The song is inspired by Dante Alighieri's 'Divine Comedy', the stage image is: Bartolomeo Di Fruosino - Inferno, from the Divine Comedy by Dante. This is a representation of our inner selves and how we all have virtue and vice within us and the battle between good and evil that rages within us and our ability to choose what is right. I think, the little girl symbolizes the pure soul within us that is exposed to the seductions of the choir ladies in black ... but leaves them completely confused and desperate. Lilia Vinogradova. She wrote the grandios lyrics and is known as a permanent co-author of the composer Igor Krutoy, with whom has created wonderful works in the crossover genre. They created the cycle for DA Hvorostovsky, albums for Sumi Jo, Anna Netrebko, Yusif Aivazov, Lara Fabian and others. This is the second song (first 'Oimpico') that Krutoy and Vinogradova created for Dimash. When she asked why she did it in Italian, the poet replied: “First, Italian is by definition the international language of music, the language that allows the vocalist to open up as much as possible. This is the best language for singing... And secondly, I. Y. Krutoy and me have a well-established tradition of writing most of our works in Italian when creating in the crossover genre.”

Thank you, Tirallala, for your clear explanation of Passione! 👏👏👏 I appreciate your thorough, yet concise, accounting of the references to Dante and Fruosino, and accurately describing the “plot” and stage design. Your explanation of the collaboration between Igor Krutoy and Lilia Vinogradova is very helpful. Again, thank you;)

It seems to me that the content and message of this song are very important. I consider this song an outstanding, world-class, deeply philosophical work. At the beginning of the song behind Dimash's back on the scenery we see pictures of Hell - fire and torment of sinners in Hell. Choir in black clothing embodies the vices of men and women. The girl in the white dress represented an innocent pure soul, as a child. In every person lives Good (pure soul) and Evil (vices). Goodness, virtue and vices in every man's soul are in struggle, in passion. If vices win in a person, a person leads the wrong way of life. He becomes a slave to his vices. For example, drunkenness, drugs, gambling, cruelty, meanness, hypocrisy and other. In this song of vocals, which Dimash performed, it seemed to me the singing of Angel. During the vocalization of the scenery with Hell are changed to the pink-blue sky with angels. They trumpet the victory of Good over Evil. There's a lot of philosophical meaning in this song. The point is that Paradise conquers Hell, light always conquers darkness, and good always defeats evil. The point is that the human soul, portrayed by a girl in a white dress, is pure as a child and immortal. /// Thanks for the reaction.

Hi and thanks for your analysis! Since you're asking, that chest high note was an A5. You've listened him go to Bb5 on Sinful Passion on a chest belt, and it was sustained for so long there; so not only you've listened him go higher, but with a lot more sustain as well :) Highest note in this song was an F6.

Hello dear, you are absolutely correct in your thoughts. Passion is a polar feeling: it can be altruistic in its artistic aspirations, in relation to work on material goals and achievements. And it can be destructive if you give in to exacerbated desires like addictions, drugs, and negative feelings. This panel behind Dimash represents a fragment from the book "Dante's Inferno" Italian writer (Dante Alighieri) who in a dream descended into hell and saw these naked beings in orgies. The Child symbolizes the angel who lovingly touches the beings involved by an overwhelming passion manifested by the girl who screams Passion several times. Then the panel turns white, symbolizing the peace that can remain in the hearts of people who must have discernment and control over feelings that can destroy them. Hug from Brazil

Hi Yuri. I came in just as you were finishing the stream I think that when you look at the backdrop in the beginning.....it's a clear representation of carnal desire. Then lady in black tries to entice him to give in to his passions. Then the little girl walks past and touches each of them, 'singing' an innocent little tune. After she's done touching the last person in black, the music suddenly sounds discordant and unmelodic, accompanied with the panicked and heavy breathing of someone either consumed by passion or terrified. The music stops abruptly and then Dimash's voice soars to the heavens, the backdrop changes to depictions of angels, and the vivid colors that were so prevalent in the beginning of the song, now give way to light, clean, pure colors. At the end you see what can be construed as an angel in the backdrop behind Dimash. For me, this signified that purity and lust were in a battle, and purity won. I'm sorry I missed the stream but I'm happy you did this ♥ Greetings from South Africa. This is some of the description of the song "Ezacatela wrote · 4/25/2021 This song is an epic and philosophical masterpiece. The song is inspired by Dante Alighieri's 'Divine Comedy' or a painting by the hell painter Hieronymus Bosch (background). It is a representation of our inner selves and how we all have virtue and vice within us and the battle between good and evil that rages within us and our ability to choose what is right. I think, the little girl symbolizes the pure soul within us that is exposed to the seductions of the choir ladies in black ... but leaves them completely confused and desperate."

This seems to be a sound analysis of the literary side of this masterpiece by Dimash and Krutoy. I, however, do not believe the background painting is "The Garden of Earthly Delights" by Bosch. It seems to be taken from a Bartolomeo di Fruozino painting instead. Bosch is more famous at this time, but the Fruozino painting is older and probably painted soon after Dante introduced hell to the literary world. This is a minor detail though in light of everything else going on with this performance.

Hello YB how I ENJOY your reactions! Thank you for sharing a wonderful moment with us. I loved your interpretation of meaning, so positive. The scenery (gorgeous!) reminded me of Dante's Inferno with its Renaissance reds. The tolling of the bell, the choir... as a symbol of a man who reaches the end of his life and thinks that he has lived immersed in his passions, remembers his torture and his delight. Keep in mind that in the eastern part of our world is very important the symbolism of the soul. Then the white girl appears, I don't know exactly what it means but it may refer to the innocence of the child that always remains in our hearts and finally redeems us. The reds and the wailing fade and a soft, blue light descends, Dimash kneels and the angel is coming The good thing about Dimash is that he always leaves the meaning open for everyone to interpret freely. And that he always offers us super HQ music and scenarios, like this one. Extraordinary. Thank you YB for sharing it!

A lot of Dimash's songs are pretty personal to him. If you know anything about his early career, he was absolutely ridiculed by people in his own country but conducted himself with complete grace during that whole period. (Yes there are hard to watch videos of this) Of course now he's a national treasure and still loves his country. I got the same out of this song which is, "don't listen to the haters" lol He is truly an inspiration.

A song about human passions. And the child symbolizes purity, impeccability, as he comes to the world. There is almost an angel, so the girl in a white dress. Possibly, the appearance of the girls means the beginning of something new or a new stage (twist), with a clean sheet. The song is in Italian.

Without a doubt, this is one of my favorite Dimash performances. While parts are eerie, the performance is so professional with the staging and the choir and Igor on piano, that, when combined with Dimash's absolutely stellar vocals, make for a masterpiece of a performance. The brief staccato run stands out for its difficulty and beauty and the enormous drop from an ultra high note immediately down to a quite low note, as if it's done every day, were also highlights that blew me away.

There's no possible way in the world there is with the exception for me a vocalist named Tyler Joseph he is the singer of a duo him and a drummer Josh Dun. Tyler Joseps versatility is more because well he writes all of the lyrics for their music and very much like our Prince Dimash he doesn't write songs that aren't written to the level of masterpieces like Dimash and Mistro Igor Krutoy. Oh and just a point Dimash + Igor Krutoy = a pure blissful ethereal otherworldly masterpieces, Tyler Joseph he is the singer/rapper but also for 99% of their work he writes the lyrics Composes the music creates the beats plays the piano keyboard synthesizer bass ukulele accordion lol guitar drums and all other percussion that is outside of the actual drummers piece. Tyler plays the drums at a very elite level but he lets his best friend/bandmate handle it for the most part. Self taught everything but back to my point. Sorry when I talk about Dimash and Tyler Joseph I get chatty. Tyler also produces everything to it's final and complete. The reason I say he is as versatile as Dimash it's in a different way. Dimash is hands down no one will ever convince me that he isn't the most versatile singer by definition of course his range but more importantly to me almost 4 years later is he can sing anything from a completely classical technique to a pop technique a neo classical cross over and if Im being completely honest Dimash essentially created his own unique genre because their are several neoclassical style singers but and this is a very big but he also blends in styles that very from very culturally sound folk from his native Kazakh both very old culturalistic styles like in the song Daididau to more recent cultural styles. Not only that but he has an incredibly impressive ability to in a way that doesn't come across as someone who doesn't speak the language their singing in even though Dimash has sang in many many languages he doesn't speak but he's not just parroting the words he completely immerses himself in everything from the lyrics and their meaning. to learning how to capture the passion and emotion that whomever originally created that piece of music truly intended it to have in such a sincere way that these songs they never ever come across as "a cover" at least for me. Tyler Josephs versatility comes from his incredible ability to hop from genre to genre to genre so much so that if you Wikipedia Twenty one pilots you will not be able to find a genre label attached. Tyler creates musical masterpieces in pop, rock, R&B, blues, reggae, alternative, rap, and, even some pieces heavily influenced by classical styles. Tyler Joseph has a very big distain for music that is poorly written no lyrical integrity and the idea that most mainstream rockstar level singers cannot nearly produce live the quality of voice that you hear when listening to their studio sound. You hear a singer you think has something special in terms of talent until you go to their concert and the moment they open their mouth you realize how much their voices were altered, pitch corrected, auto tuned , polished, etc etc that they don't even sound like the same person. Prime example by the way just type in Rhianns worst live vocals and she sounds amazing on studio created songs but live she is literally tone deaf it's madness. Tyler also has a distaste for the fact that so many "artists" sound nothing like they do in studio they don't write any of their own lyrics, they have nothing to do with the composition or the arrangement both of which Tyler does himself, they don't play any of their own instruments the lyrics are handed to them by somebody the music's handed to them by someone else and it's produced by another person they literally did nothing but sing a song manufactured by four different entities that have nothing to do with the so called "artist" and sang it poorly at that. Wrapping up my comment (I apologize for hogging up your comment section lol.) Dimash and the Band Twenty one pilots especially Tyler Joseph ruined 99.9 percent of any other music and so called singers I hear on the radio or whatever and I am completely satisfied with that. God bless you

Based on research and comments by others, this song is drawn from medieval Christian theology's view of the afterlife, as seen in the 14th-century narrative poem of Dante Alighieri, "La Divina Commedia" and a painting by Hieronymus Bosch, a Dutch/Netherlandish painter of the fifteenth and sixteenth century. The background imagery starts with souls in hell, gradually rising to purgatory, until eventually coming face-to-face with their Creator. The lyrics describe our soul, the duality of virtue and vice, and the constant struggle between good and evil that rages within mankind. Someone stated that the little girl symbolizes the pure soul within us being confronted by the temptations of this world (represented by the choir ladies in black), leaving them completely confused and desperate. The song's title conveys the double meaning of passione; in French and in Italian "passion" or "passione" have the same double meanings as in English: suffering (Via Dolorosa, Passion of the Christ), and love, enthusiasm, etc.

8:40 I read somewhere, that the girl represents the pure soul within us, the song itself was inspired by Dante Aligieri`s Divine Comedy or a painting by the hell painter Hieronymus Bosch. I highly recommend for everyone to read about the meaning of the song, it opens it in very different way knowing the symbolism behind it. Unfortunately, I have heard many people commenting the girl being creepy. I don`t understand that. Loved your reaction when she showed up.

♥♥♥ Thanks for reaction! And, yes, of course, part of the sound goes from the phonogram, the same bells and so on. With such a scale and idea, this is normal. But why the living girl was replaced with a recording is not clear. I would also look at the drummer's work - it's great, it's a pity that he was hidden behind the stage.

Thanx you for your reaction. No, really thank you for your interpretation b3cause I couldn’t get this song at all. I’ve heard many church choirs, mass choirs with hundreds of singers singing at one time and almost all of dimashs classically and operatic songs but this one stumps me every time. I had to watch it when I saw it was you. I never did get the woman whispering and then almost yelling., but I’ve never had a translation. And how does a child end up on stage in a passion song that’s about passion an adult theme? Is it me? I never did think the woman was lip syncing. It was really important that she be doing that live. It means nothing if she wasn’t live. This whole get up reeks of Igor and any time you see Dimash and Igor together Igor writes it or composes most of it. I read the translation which is mostly pull and tug of war with emotions and comparisons.

👉The highest belting note is an A5, the highest head voice note is E6. I recommend the technically excellent, interesting and amusing analysis of the professional opera singer and also video artist Elizabeth Zharoff at her channel "The Charismatic Voice" - kzbin.info/www/bejne/amKyiWCYZ76Ua6s

2 years since you posted this - I hope by now you have seen the version at Igor Krutoy's 65th birthday celebration at the ice arena in Sochi. It's stunning and even more dramatic with the addition of the skaters acting it out on the ice. You can find it on Igor's channel - the full 2-hour program, and on Dimash's.

I think your interpretation is quite ok. I don’t really know what the girl represents but I know the children for Dimash are always pure and innocent, besides the girl was in white.

Is gebaseerd op Dante's inferno. Het is gecomponeerd door Krutoy maar weet eigenlijk niet dat het origineel voor Dimash was?

It was composed by Igor Krutoy / Lyrics by Lilia Vinogradova for Dimash. "The premiere of the song “Passione” performed by Dimash became a highlight of the festival “New Wave 2019”, which means Dimash was the first person to sing it. This is not a cover.
