I have seen Dimash sing live in concert and Ave Maria (as well as all the rest) was as perfect as here. He modulates his voice and movements to create the exact sounds he wants - not any auto-syncing or whatever.

Impresionante comentario Dears Ave María compuesta por el maestro Igor Krutoy para Dimash ES UNA OBRA DE ARTE 😊

He pulls back to keep the sound at the same level when he sings louder. He is a great student of microphone techniques. He does not use effects or auto tune. Igor Krutoy wrote this specifically for Dimash's voice and he holds a very high standard. Mr. Krutoy is a famous Ukrainian/Russian composer and producer who came out of retirement to work with Dimash. In future videos, if you see Igor at the piano, it is either a song he wrote specifically for Dimash or one he wrote for another artist and reworked for him. This is a live performance with a Messa di voce at the end. This is a musical technique in the bel canto style of music. There is a video of Dimash working with a vocal coach to learn this technique. He is a master of his craft. You have seen so little of his work, it is difficult to listen to you belittle Dimash's gifts, as if he is just another artist.

His job as a reactor is to react honestly. If you don't care for his style, there are plenty of Dimash reactors who will appeal more to you. I personally appreciate the fact that so many are willing to react to Dimash because every reaction is another opportunity for a reactor's subscribers to become familiar with him. And one more thing: although the reactor was being honest, you were not when you said ""he does not use effects or autotune." That statement is clearly false, and I suspect you know so. If you don't, then you are simply in denial of the truth. Statements like that make we Dears look like a bunch of doofuses to those who know better, and that's not a good look and will never serve us (or Dimash) well.

Dimash is just great, isn't he? He manages to lift people to heaven with just one vowel. He leaves me speechless every time I hear this song. And I love it when the drums come in. It's so unique. Igor Krutoy (the gentleman at the piano) composed this version of the Ave Maria at Dimash's request. It's not the Ave Maria you may know. Did you know that there are more than 100 versions of the Ave Maria? Now there is one more. Usually, Ave Maria is a prayer to the Holy Virgin Mary. In this case, however, it is a prayer for all people, no matter what religion they belong to. Besides that Dimash is a Muslim and Igor Kurtoy, who often accompanies him on the piano, is Jewish. That is why this Ave Maria has no lyrics, since it is not only sung for Christians. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian-Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. He came out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash when he first heard him. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range (no kidding), like Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You'll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It's more of a father-son relationship. He performed this song on the same show as Stranger, just not on the same day. Please react to Olimpico from his Arnau concert in 2019 next. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating. This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯 kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpyzhGmqbZmknZY Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

This might allow you to recognize what an amazing talent you are hearing.

Just going to say that he is a master of mic control and He knows when to move away from the mic to help maintain constant volume as he moves between his louder and softer tones. As you watch more videos performances you will see him use this mic technique often. He is a one-man master class not only in vocals but in technique as well.

I hear a difference. Dimash is known to use the mic to adjust the sound live. He will deliberately go closer or further away depending on what he’s doing to his voice & how loud he wants it. On top of that the producers probably “cleaned up” the sound mix. But it’s not like you say. I’ve never seen anyone sing with the mic like he does it.

Your suspicion about audio embellishments is probably correct so I wouldn't ever let the comments from less knowledgeable Dears (the name Dimash has given his fans) sway you from commenting honestly. Dimash has an incredible voice and is incredibly creative and talented----arguably the most talented vocalist on the planet at the moment (which you will come to see if you choose to react to more performances) but he is not above using all the technical tools that are available to him in order to make his songs and performances the best they can possibly be. We appreciate your reaction and your analysis.

Dimash sometimes uses audio reverb effect but that’s all the extent of what he will use. Everything you hear here is all real as we who have all heard him singing without microphone before can attest to that. One of them is a video of him singing without mic, just with Nathan Wang playing piano. You can watch it and give your opinion about his true ability without doubt.

oh thanks for pointing out the "choir in the background" wouldn't have noticed without that point out 😂🤣. This unique version of AM was created purposefully for Dimash by Igor Krutoy at Dimash's request. It could be as u mention, not live - I can't say since I am not working the controls, however, modern mics are designed to pick up sound in the surround from the sides as well, you don't have to face directly to one point on the screen, even holding the mic to the "side" the mic will still pick it up without loss of volume if the singer is singing louder and more full. Often holding the mic to the "side" is done when the singer knows the resonance will pick up or be heard sharper or more piercing... further if you ever hear Dimash sing without a mic, his voice is so so very loud and big, that he pulls the mic away at great distance all the time live for the purpose of manually controlling the sound production - it would actually sound more distorted if he sang with his mouth the same distance and with the same angle directly facing the center of the mic thru out the entire song. But maybe it is as you say post production enhancements or adjustments, I was not there, I can not know the reality of it.

it's easy to think only in a familiar formula ..... a singer who sings a little and uses technique = that's normal in recent years But this is the National Artist Master Dimash ..... who studied opera singing, studied jazz and pop, mastered first-class singing technique with a microphone, mastered Asian singing technique .... he sings very strongly, loudly ( 7 octav) and often at a concert he sings high notes and without a microphone for the entertainment of the audience it would be good not to judge singers so superficially

If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D#4 C#4 and B4 to G#4, G4, G4, D#5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!

Many of us have seen hundreds of Dimash videos. Everything he does is a choice -- for every note in his range, he knows the exact amount of support, the larynx position, the placement, to get any style or tone. If he does straight tone or vibrato it's because he intentionally chooses to.

No, his vibrato does not kick in because he sings a high note: his vibrato kicks in because (and whenever) he wants it to kick in. He could sing that high note just as well straight-toned if he wanted to. You assume that Dimash is at the mercy of his voice as normal singers are, but the opposite is true: Dimash has absolute control over his voice, even his vibrato. You can see it in the case of the sustained C6 at the end. - I agree, however, that what we hear here is a studio version. It´s quite common in the Russian productions that they are either replaced by a studio version later or that they are playback in the first place.

Now his genres might not be everyones favorite although he does many types and surely can do anything. I think best vocalist means, control, range, emotive, microphone control and timbre. I think with everything considered he is on a level above others. This is Igor Krutoys version of Ave Maria Dimash asked him to write to be religion neutral.

Some of these are dubbed because some countries insist on it but a famous audio tech has listened to many of his song and said they are not tampered with/ auto tuned He showed how it would sound if it was. But my point to most people who say it’s auto tuned is that all singers use that at some point 13:30 and still don’t sound like Dimash I think you said it respectfully thank you

This version is a bespoke vocalisation written for Dimash by Igor. 😊

First,: Ave Maria is a superhuman vocal exception, which takes you by surprise. Being a vocal song, a pure masterpiece, the magic of Dimash's voice is unleashed in the ether and is the fire that burns the soul and heart through love, beauty, elevation and purity. Second: From my point of view, I cannot make a top ranking of Dimash's songs, the original ones, regardless of the composer (Igor, Dimash or someone else), leaving aside the covers. I come back to the idea, so I can't make a top. Why? Simple: each song by Dimash has a different theme, a different melodic line, different feelings, different tonalities. Each track is unique in lyric, interpretation, musical essence and message. If you listen to one, you like it more, if you listen to another, you like it even more, you can't decide because you can't. There are pieces with a religious touch, patriotic pieces, pieces of love, pieces of courage etc. If in an interview Dimash was asked what song he likes, I don't know what answer he would give... Almost all of them are masterpieces. It is as if Dimash is a father of dozens of children. I don't think he could tell a difference between them. Each piece has its place in time and space, it is appropriate in a certain context, event. Each song takes you on a certain journey, be it magical, be it angelic, be it love or be it a story, either sad, or happy, or fighting, or patriotic. We have to be consistent and say that all the pieces are exceptional, not one can be compared to another, because a parent loves all his children the same!!! Second: Dimash is a miracle, so his absolute powerful and unshakable presence on stage, compared by some to a god of music, sometimes to a prince or king, the energy he absorbs from the Universe, then how he anchors himself to the Earth, his connection with the Divinity, all at a place, it gives him the strength and confidence to "command the audience, to order the orchestra, to order the song", so that everything comes out the way he wants and how Dimash feels, that is unique. All these qualities are only at Dimash, absolutely. The goosebumps and hypnosis induced by Dimash are the characteristics of his concerts and appearance on stage, which are shaped by his endless beauty, sometimes translucent, sometimes sensual, sometimes angelic !!! Dimash is storm, thunder, lightning, sun, rain, smile, but also love and last but not least he is our hope and our daily light, he is our spiritual food when you put your head on the pillow and start dreaming like tomorrow it's a day… !!!!! Dimash has God's kiss on his heart!!!! Dimash's cerebral hemisphere are like the mathematics of song. The precision, the climax of the pieces, the breath control, all are mathematical. Nothing higher, nothing lower. Absolute accuracy !!! Not to mention, he has the number of destiny 7, the number of God. One more proof that Dimash is sent by God in the art of love through song!!!

He is classical educated opera singer with a voice range of 7.2 octave, and he can sing in every register, male or female, bas, bariton, tenor, cauntratenor, alto, mezzo-soprano and soprano, that's why opera professor say that he is best voice on the world, and the fact that he is only human being to hit whistle ton D8 help a lot

Love to hear you react to and analyze Dimash. Do all of him you want to as I'll enjoy every one. But please also do more PTX. It's been almost a year since you have done one and they have put out some simply spectacular new music in that period. Good luck at school.

Regarding microphones. Dimash has such a strong voice and such a well-developed technique of singing at the microphone that by moving closer and further away he avoids various complications related to the microphone's reaction to sounds. Moreover, it makes the work easier for others because they do not have to correct it on the equipment. During concerts, Dimash spreads his arms wide apart while holding the microphone, and the microphone still captures his voice. It's weaker, but it catches on. In fact, in Russia, but also in most countries, even though Dimash and others usually sing live, they later put on a studio version and the effect, in my opinion, visually worsens the reception. This creates the illusion of "false" singing. But I understand why they do it, because considering that people have different equipment in their homes, cars, different headphones, listen in different places with different acoustics, the song needs to be prepared so that its quality does not differ much depending on the listener's equipment. . I wish you with all my heart that through work and study you will gain the knowledge needed for analysis, because for now you do not have an in-depth analysis, with knowledge of notes, musical styles, scales, etc. Listening to you, I have the impression that you have learned some words and their superficial meaning. It has nothing to do with musical analysis. However, I believe in you, I wish you a good teacher and good luck.

Dimash is a 'sopranista". His range come to baritone to soprano. It isn't a whistle tone, but a lirical soprano. He also can sing whistle tone (drunken concubine, or unforgettable day). There is a video where Dimash with his vocal teacher train his voice to sing like Ave Maria. All is live. Thank you

I love reading these comments - they crack me up. I see that many "Dears" refuse to believe he EVER sings to playback or lip sync at live performances. It is well known that Russian TV doesn't do live performances, just lip sinc performances. I can usually tell when that's the case because he has no in-ear device. I really enjoyed your insight on his performances, keep up the good work, and don't mind the fans that chastise you.

8/26/2021🌍✈️💣💥💔😭KABUL 8/26/2021 Dimash sings ♥️ “Ave Maria” is Latin for “Hail Mary”. That’s why the varied songs “Thousands” through out history ( Bach, Rachmaninoff, Schubert, etc…) IGOR & DIMASH 💞🎶💞 The beginning background sounds seem like turmoil, danger, and disruption. 🥺 When he opens his tone with full air it sounds like life’s breath leaving the body. 😢 The choir sings as a counter balance of a loved ones love & comfort to the unconsolable sorrow. 😪 If you’ve ever heard the sound of deep crying and grief it’s repetitive.

Hey Daniel -- Now that you're reacted to several of Dimash's videos (which I've thoroughly enjoyed (as a voice major and retired singer myself, you obviously know what you're talking about), I really think the one you need to react to now is what has become my favorite, a song called "Know". Not only does this video show off his almost beyond human control an breath support, but he so beautifully brings in his Kazakh upbringing and background. I'd love to see your analysis of this on. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIa2p51uitt5gtE

Since this is not your 1st experience of Dimash, maybe u shud discover more of him as a person , his experiences and expertise. No one keeps a voice with that quality without continuing to work on it. The way u speak of him is rather disdaining, and maybe it's worth u considering, learning from him, and being rather less pompous. Sorry to say so, but that is how u have come over to me , after listening to u for the 2nd or 3rd time. I love his n Igor' s version. But not you. Will not be bck .

Notice at the beginning when Dimash is getting ready to sing you hear the heartbeat slowing down before stopping then Dimash sings its like the passing of life to be greeted by the angels. To me this is the closest you will get to heaven without going there. Even though this isn't the Catholic Prayer version it still gets the message across beautifully
