First I must say that this is not the type of music I usually listen to but this guys voice is ethereal. His range and control is phenomenal.

As a bit of a disclaimer: I am a very passionate person when it comes to music I like, to a fault. Sorry in advance if I overwhelm you at any point. If you don't get see things in a similar light to I do, I apologise to an even greater degree. Hope you understand. Most people who love Dimash's work now (and I assume likely the person who suggested it) had the exact same initial experience. For some it may even be hard to listen to at first, but through exposure, he tends to win a lot of people over into listening to his style of music a bit more. He also switches up genres and styles on a dime so I would recommend listening to him a bit more just to see the other sides of him, some of which might be more of your thing. Keep in mind that Dimash for the longest time had nobody to support and promote his work, and only reached a level of success outside of his native Kazakhstan after being invited to a Chinese talent show. The Chinese audience love impressive vocals, so if you were to listen to his music in the way a reactor might, you will find songs with more impressive vocals. Some people may not like this and think of it as show-offy (and it somewhat is) but he does this for the audience that initially fell in love with him and his music, instead of for ego. He has plenty of songs which aren't like this but aren't as well known due to how he became famous and the meta behind reaction videos, so don't hold him too heavily for that. With all this rambling out the way, I wish to both ramble a tiny bit more, and for you to at least consider listening to more. I feel like once I started watching and listening to him more, my perspective of music changed and it expanded my horizons beyond what I thought possible. I hope you experience the same. If you don't, then at least you have a new experience to take trom it. Thats the really the beauty of music that you don't get too much nowadays. Dimash gets it, and he breathes it. I again apologise for a lengthy comment, and I hope you don't dismiss this artist, partially because his music is such an indescribable experience, and partially because you may hear about him more in the future.

It's funny you say that because that was my exact same reaction five years ago when I first heard him sing this song. BUT, I was so intrigued by his vocals that I did a lot of research and listened to him sing all genres imaginable (except Country). I actually found that I like Chinese, Russian, Italian, etc., music when he sings it because it's all in his vocals and the amazing things he is able to do with them. That's genetics (both parents are singers) and hard work since he was five years old and started attending music school. I hope you check out his music a little more. ☺

Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And that in all registers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. Sometimes he also can be a little bit goofy, and I love it❤️. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. He has demonstrated several beautiful metal elements in various songs so I wait patiently, well aware that he is young. It is only a matter of time.😉🤘❤️‍🔥🤘 Dimash has a huge catalogue of unique songs in a wide range of genres from Opera to rap and everything between. It is not just Octave range but a huge vocal toolbox to go with it.😎 You might prefer Olympico/Arnau or Across Endless Dimensions but his best Metal scream can be found in The Story of One Sky. Exploring your playlists, I notice Alip Ba Ta. Marcin Patrzalek, and Ichika Nito but where is the axeman from Animals As Leaders? Tosin Abasi? This guy will blow your socks off.🤣😂🥹😂🤣 Earliest stuff, try CAFO, more recent try Red Miso but for a solo intimate performance try Wave of Babies. Plays 8 string. I also believe there is an excellent Bass Guitarist in the female Metal band VOB out of Indonesia that might interest you. Also I believe the Metal band Lovebites out of Japan might have some good guitar.Nightwish has good guitar and metal vocals. He did the heavy metal movie music video soundtrack song for the teen movie a few years back - Go Go Power Rangers -song the same name. He h8red 400 hundred people during Covid in 2021 and out on this solo digital concert show online charging $10. Who ever heard of such. All you heard and saw Dimash produced composed wrote every instrument as he probably plays them all and that high whistle not where the pheonix wings came out he probably had the guy at the soundboard mixing echo that out the perfect second like Michael Jackson had to do on the end of his notes when he flipped them up or down or some kinds crazybeatboo before there was beat bop. Dimash is an admirerer of Michael and is in his music at concerts.

His has a classical training with 24 years of music dedication and school. He is only 29 years old. He also have millions of followers all over the world. I hope you get to know his music. Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-nine year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave 2 semi-tone range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018, "Stranger" 2021,"Olimpico" 2019 link on Igor Krutoy's (composer that came out of retirement to work with Dimash) KZbin channel, "Adagio" from The Singer 2017, "Ikanaide" 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival, and "Ave Maria" 2021 at New Wave. After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for one of his most recent songs and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. Bienvenido a la galaxia Dimash! Él genera tanto placer al escucharlo que es adictivo! Es el mejor cantante e intérprete de este siglo, tenemos suerte de estar en este tiempo para poder escucharlo! Hijo de una soprano y un cantante pop famoso en Kazajistán, tiene oído absoluto, estudia música y canto desde los 5 años, se graduó en canto lírico y contemporáneo (le ofrecieron cantar como tenor en la ópera Astana, pero prefirió hacer carrera como cantante popular), tiene un máster en composición musical, está haciendo un doctorado en musicología, multi instrumentista (toca 8 instrumentos a la perfección), canta en 13 idiomas y te llega directo al alma en cualquiera de ellos, tríeme un registro de 7,7 octavas! DIMASH is an additive singer of the highest caliber. Once you start to listen to him and become more familiar with his music, you find that singers you once thought were very good no longer appeal to you as much as DIMASH. He is a genre bender in that he can sing anything and all he performs is just amazing. I am not alone in my experience with DIMASH there are many millions of his fans(called Dears) that feel the same as I do. DIMASH is a force to be reckoned with in the music world. German TV chose him and 4 others in vararious other fields as geniuses. DIMASH was chosen for his advancements and renovations he has made to the music world and in his heading up the management of his musical empire called DIMASHALI.

SOS is the song that introduced Dimash to the world and opened many great opportunities and collaborations for him. There are a number of versions of Dimash singing this song, each different but all great. This particular version comes from the Dimash Digital Show put on during the pandemic after all live concerts were cancelled and he had to cut his Arnau Tour short. The song SOS comes from the famous 1978 Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania', which is well known in French-speaking countries, and is a pretty difficult song to sing. In 2017 Dimash received a wild card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant ever at 22 years old and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part in this competition. Although well-known and respected in his homeland Kazakhstan, few in China knew or heard about Dimash before, but with his first song, SOS, Dimash shocked the audience and captured the hearts of over 600 million of viewers overnight, and the rest is history as the saying goes.

The last words are a goodbye cry: 'Sleep now baby, sleep...'. What you witnessed is just the tip of the iceberg! You will see that Dimash IS the best singer/performer in this universe !!!
