Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZbin, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZbin. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZbin, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. Hi I'm Joe, greetings from Chicago!👋☺️ Loved your reaction, Dimash is indeed the greatest vocalist on the planet - I'm not saying this as a matter of taste, tho my taste is the same. I'm saying that he's objectively, measurably the greatest! His range, pitch accuracy, timing, breath control, etc are all measurable & greater than any other singer I know of. Phrasing, tone of voice, etc are the more subjective qualities that can be debated. But so many voice coaches & pro singers have admitted in reactions that he's "probably the greatest", or like statements. Enough ranting! I liked and subbed, yes I would love to see him more reactions to Dimash - his material is practically endless, between official releases & fancams, all of it fantastic, you'll never be disappointed!

This was six years ago, you should hear him today! THE greatest vocalist of ALL time. He does have full orchestra’s behind him today and he also has his own band of excellent musicians and backing singers. He regularly has 3 1/2 - 4 hour solo concerts all over the world to audiences of 40,000 or more. I hope you’ll react to more. Dimash sings in 13 languages (including lots in English), and he’s an amazing composer and a multi-instrumentalist. He sings in all genres including rap and opera. Every performance is incredible, you really haven’t seen anything yet!

Dimash is a 29-year-old Kasakh vocalist and composer; he speaks kasakh, russian and english and is learning mandarin chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts, and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. He is currently in the United States, working on his new material that his fans (he affectionately calls us "dears") are looking forward to. Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. And this in all the different registers . His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 or 16 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. Sometimes he also can be a little bit goofy, and I love it❤️. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. He sang this song as a guest at the Slavic Bazaar in Belarus 2018. It’s an International Festival of Arts and a contest for young singers, which he won in 2015. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. These last three mentioned songs are mind-blowing and will leave you speechless. Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-nine year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave 2 semi-tone range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for one of his most recent songs and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. Dimash performed SOS many times with a full orchestra. You must attend his live concerts since he always includes SOS in the program. This was the 2017 or 2018 Slaviansky Bazaar where he was invited to perform as a guest at the closing ceremony. He was thanking them because he was the Grand Prix winner back in 2015, which launched his formal recognition back in Kazakhstan where he used to be considered a bit of an unorthodox singer because of his stunningly wide range. Hijo de una soprano y un cantante pop famoso en Kazajistán, tiene oído absoluto, estudia música y canto desde los 5 años, se graduó en canto lírico y contemporáneo (le ofrecieron cantar como tenor en la ópera Astana, pero prefirió hacer carrera como cantante popular), tiene un máster en composición musical, está haciendo un doctorado en musicología, multi instrumentista (toca 8 instrumentos a la perfección), canta en 13 idiomas y te llega directo al alma en cualquiera de ellos, tríeme un registro de 7,7 octavas! Hey Shawn thank you for checking our beautiful Dimash out. Believe me he's no one trick pony he can deliver, he's Kazakh and does some beautiful Kazakh music daididau is one of them. A famous Russian composer came out of retirement to work with him, there are many songs where he has orchestral support Olimipico springs to mind Mademoiselle Hyde another. I'm sure you will get tons of reccomend actions soon the Dimash dears usually come out in full force. This guy has been training since he was aged five and came to the public attention when he took part in a Chinese singing competition which he wasn't allowed to win because he wasn't Chinese. He sings in many different languages and is now speaking English really well. Stranger is in English, another mind bowing vocal performance. His voice is so amazing because when his parents realized he had perfect pitch at 5 years old, they enrolled him in music lessons. He has been studying music and how to get the most from his voice his entire life. Now he’s studying for his PhD in musicology. He’s a treasure.

He uses techniques from opera, modern lyric, ethnic, glam, hard rock and pop environments. Registers don´t apply to his voice. Not only male voice, no female voice, no alien voice: Dimash´s voice. The Slavic Bazaar or the Slavianski Bazaar is competition show, it takes place in Vitesbk, Belarus in July. Dimash here was a guest performer, and at the end he is thanking the Slavic Bazaar as it was an important moment in his life, in his career. (Dimash won the grand prix in 2015.) He thanks the people and invites everyone to Kazakhstan.

This is the Slavic Bazaar, a yearly competition/festival for young musicians, which Dimash won a couple years before. He's back as a returning pro, which helps bump up attendance and promote the festival. So it is him paying them back for their part in helping him succeed. At the end he was thanking the festival for helping in his career and all the contestants also, and to please visit Kazakhstan. You can see the message in the enhanced version of this same performance on the Dimash Fanclub Germany channel. They've fixed up all the subtitles to be more complete and in more languages. The problem on this version is that he's at a Russian/Belarus festival, but singing in French, so the captioners put all their effort into translating the French song to English and other languages and neglected to deal with the Russian dialog after the song. Not good enough for the German fan club, so they fixed it up. It is also a good site for his 2017 pro competition performances at the Chinese "I Am Singer" show, which had slim to no English captions.

If you TRULY want to get a real appreciation where Dimah came from, you must start at the beginning, when the mainstream world musicians learned about him. Dimash stepped onto the world stage as a relatively unknown 'write in' for the Chinese talent competition called 'I Am Singer' (2017). He had absolutely NO chance of placing, much less winning anything ... until he opened his mouth with this rendition of 'S.O.S.' as his first song. It was at that point that the 'oh crap!' moment hit the other competitors when they realized they had to go on after him. They were all seasoned competitors, he was not. They were Chinese and he was not. There are twelve songs in all that Dimash performs in this competition, including 'Opera 2', 'Adagio', Freddy Mercury's 'Show Must Go On' which is awesome, etc. Really, you should start at the beginning. He is also multi instrumentalist, speaks about 7/8 languages and sings in about 12/13. Dimash isn't a little guy, either. He stands 6'3" and is as humble as can be. Enjoy your journey, I'd like to see more of your Dimash reactions and By The Way, try to wrap your head around another awesome and totally unique singer, Diana Ankudinova/ Abandoned on the street and abused by her mother at about the age of 3, she was unable to speak. She was adopted and raised by a loving family who used music as a way to teach her how to regain her speech. The rest is history. Her mentor is Igor Krutoy, who just happens to be Dimashes mentor.

Great reaction. I'm subscribing in hopes you do more Dimash reactions. He has so many other great performances, including movie and videogame theme songs, rap, pop, opera, folk, blues and basically any genre. Although he can sing in about 7 octaves, what impresses the most is the way he brings out emotion and tells stories through music. He's also great at acting and creating good music videos.
