Dimash once said: "I'm not interested in octaves. They don't matter to me. Octaves are just tools I work with. My real goal is to take people to another world through my songs. I want them to feel better than they felt before they heard me. " He doesn't go on stage just to "scream" his abilities. He experiences and turns every note, every word into a feeling and transmits it to the audience. When he sings, he becomes the song itself. He is a music therapy for the soul. Dimash is the voice of the universe! He is sent to us by God!

Dimash is the best technically trained singer in the world today. This performance was from his digital concert he put on for his fans at the beginning of this year. I personally don’t like when someone compares him to other singer. It’s not fair to any artist to have to compete with another artist. There are so many wonderful singers in the world and each deserve to be recognized for their individual talent. Dimash is changing the music world, he mixes many genres together in a single song, there can be a mix of opera, classical, pop, jazz, folk and even rap. Thanks for your honest reaction. Can’t wait to see what you will pick as you start your journey with Dimash. 🎼🎶🎤🇰🇿❤️🇺🇸

Over 10 million fans around the world disagree with your assessment that he does not transmit emotions. For your information SOS means so much more to Dimash than when he originally sang it to honor Gregory Lamarchel, the French singer who became famous singing a cover of this song. The young man was 22 when he died of Cystic Fibrosis. He was greatly beloved by the French people. It became even more emotional for Dimash when his best friend Dennis Tan, an Olympic skater who skated to Dimash's SOS, was murdered by thieves. The song is about life and death and a great plea for understanding of why. At the end Dimash kneels by the dying friend, screaming then quietly telling his friend to "sleep, child, sleep" as he passes away. If you think Dimash does not transmit these internal feelings of sorrow in this song you are not paying attention. Listen to this again without your preconceived ideas about Dimash's perfect vocal abilities or his mixing vocal styles. And be sure your sound system is up to par for Dimash's voice carries a lot of extra frequencies you can only hear live or with an HD audio system. I believe this concert was captured in HD. (Also note some other video recordings are not in HD audio.) Always read the lyrics of his songs so you understand how and why he sings it the way he does.

I love Dimash, I do and I believe he is very heartfelt and he wants to get it perfect, that is where the problem lies for people who love Aurora's songs. Because I love all of them I can see the difference, perfection removes the vulnerability, and that is the reason it does not appear as natural. He is paying attention to so many aspects in the song it is hard to fully immerse himself. I can still love his song even though this happens and I love opera. Aurora does not think about perfection, only to immerse herself into the song to the point she does not even know an abundance is there, it is just different and hard to explain. And saying all that my first love is Angelina.

Dear Larry, I am always very happy when new people discover Dimash, because I have fallen head over heels for this young man for almost three years now. His voice weaves a hypnotic spell every time I hear it that I just can't escape. He makes me like music genres that I really can't stand otherwise. You could say that he has made me relearn how to listen to music. At the same time, he surprises me again and again, even after three years and even if I now know roughly what he's got. He develops in fast motion, switching fluidly between gerners, styles, registers and octaves, and he always does it with a lot of grace. His Kazakh songs in particular strike a chord in me that I didn't know I had until recently. On the other hand, I've always had a weakness for oriental-sounding melismas ... I won't give any tips here on which song you should listen to next, others will already do that enough. And no matter which performance you watch, it will be completely different from the last. The only thing that can be said is that he starts more quietly and delicately and unleashes a brilliant vocal firework towards the end - but even that is not always the case. Thank you for sharing your reaction with us. Lots of love from Switzerland 🤗🇨🇭

His newer releases Stranger and Qaragym Ai if you want emotion. His genres range from pop and contemporary to classic and Opera with some rock and some rap as well. He also completed a Broadway musical master class. On June 18th, 2020 he completed his masters specializing in composition and received his masters with honours having achieved the maximum score of 100%. He speaks fluent Russian and Kazakh, some Chinese and is pretty good in English and is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a difficult language to learn but he's doing well with it. At 22 he was invited as a wild card to participate in I Am a Singer, a Chinese competition show for professional singers. He ultimately placed second because at the time the rules of the show disallowed anyone who wasn't Chinese to take first place. The show catapulted him to relative stardom worldwide and he became a pop superstar in China. He is also famous in Russia for his neoclassical work with famous Russian/Ukrainian composer and arranger Igor Krutoy who came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash. Igor has written songs for Dimash and arranged previously composed music specifically for Dimash. He is often at the piano for many of Dimash's performances. Dimash has since introduced pop songs in Russia as well. His vocals range from a rich low bass/baritone to extremely high soprano notes. On at least one occasion he has sung a D8 in whistle tone for 5 seconds with vibrato. He also sings songs in many genres. He's a genius at mixing genres in a song, a style he himself refers to himself as neo-classic. He was on a solo world tour when the pandemic struck. There are several full concerts available to watch online. His concerts are usually around 2 ½ hours with an eclectic mix of vocal styles and genres. He was born into a musical family and both of his parents are famous singers and musicians in Kazakhstan, his mother being an operatic soprano. He was offered a position in the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned this position down to pursue his own path in neoclassical and contemporary music. Although he works with producers and promoters in other countries his music is produced and distributed through his own company called Dimashali Creative Center. He's a multi-instrumentalist, competent on 8 instruments including piano, drums, guitar, marimba and the native Turk/Kazakhstan two-stringed instrument called a dombra. On May 24th, 2021 he celebrated his 27th birthday. He is most widely known through his live performances and has released several albums, the first one going platinum in 37 seconds in China and triple platinum in less than an hour. It has been widely recognized that his high notes are not whistle tones but head voice. Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it is spectacular. He has many millions of fans worldwide which he has named his "Dears" He is soft spoken, polite, respectful, elegant and classy, also extremely humble, is often dismissive of his amazing talent saying that he simply wants to present music that moves and touches people and seldom goes without mentioning his love of country and its history. Bravo, Dimash.

Thank you for reacting to Dimash. He is truly a treasure and one of my favorites. But, I must admit, the first time I heard him sing.....it was his 2017 version of SOS on the Chinese reality show "I am a Singer"....I was a bit overwhelmed and underwhelmed. I wasn't comfortable with all his octave changes and tone changes. That performance left me feeling unsettled. It was about a year later that I started listening to him again and had a completely different visceral response. :) Dimash is the one artist who can cause my mood to soar or bring me to tears. I sincerely hope you sample some of his other work. He's an extremely versatile artist; always full of surprises. Even when he sings the same song, he never does it the same way twice.

I was also a bit slow to really feel Dimash. I listened to 'SOS' all the time because I could see and hear that he was something very special. But, when I saw him singing 'Hello' I could really feel him - he became special for ME. And since then, I've been a Dear, loving him and enjoying everything he does (for different reasons). After 3 years, it feels only better... 😊

@@robincosta8973 Yes, that long note is incredible! Together with the background music that hits in when the note goes on, it sounds so epic. One of those Dimash's wow moments - I just learnt this term from a Dear, it's so fitting:) I also love the soft low notes in the beginning, all the emotion in them. And on his face too. I later found that he sang the song for his Dears all around the world, and of course in China (he wrote that in his Insta). When he sings "You're all I ever wanted and my arms are open wide - - I love you". I feel that he really means what he's singing. About "open arms" - that's just how Dimash is (typical gesture for him, like hugging everyone).

If you knew his history of this song regarding his childhood friend Denis Ten, a world-class figure skater who was murdered during a carjacking, and who used a recording of this song during the Sochi Olympics, you'd know how wrong your opinion is of his "emotional showboating". I guarantee every time he sings this song since the murder, he's thinking of Denis Ten. You should watch the Arnau performance of this song. He floats above the audience in a globe, includes a tribute to Ten in the middle, with Ten's mother in the audience.

This online concert, Dimash Digital Show that was streamed in January 2021was very high tech with a wrap around 3d screen, its quite the innovation and not really see in the US. Dimash can sing into your soul and never leave, he is addictive. He can sing any genre from opera to pop, folk, jazz, rock, rap etc etc you name it. You need to see more of him, he lives for music, he is music, no choreography he is the real deal. You don't seem to understand him, and judging him from just one song is unfair. Of course he uses reverb its normal for great vocalists of his calibre. Pick a genre and get does it. I would like to point something out if I may. SOS is the song that Dimash used on several competitions where he had to show in 3 minutes his incredible skills so that he could be the winner. Maybe that is why many people really think that he is overreacting or he is just procedural. He is nothing like that and you will understand more of him when listening more of his music. Thank you, Days. I actually am looking forward to more Dimash :) The opera is a genre that I have never really preferred. Let me put it this way. Let's say you HATE westerns. You HATE them. Low and behold, one of your favorite actors stars in a western. You go see the movie. You LOVE your artists performance, but you are still not sold on westerns. You loved your actor, but didn't like the genre of the movie. That's kind of where I am (I don't HATE opera, though. Just exaggerating to make a point). Nobody holds a candle to Dimash imo. Dimash brings light, beauty.and a higher level of humanity as well as incredible skill. He touches souls and changes lives. He lives us out of the common and predictable and into another musical dimension not heard or experienced anywhere else by anyone else. His character is also on another level from anybody else. Especially in the entertainment business. He brings depth, beauty, strength and hope. Dimash is a person of substance.and is quite serious. You need to see more of his performances because you couldn’t be more wrong about Dimash’s connection to the song. He is a technical perfectionist. But then he is free to fully express. One of the main things Dimash is known for is his ability to completely immerse himself and become the song. This was a digital show. No audience. But live streamed. Check out Daybreak live at Bastau. You will need to know the true story of the song and caption the lyrics. Dimash does such a wide variety of styles from ballads to traditional Kazakh, to operatic and classical crossover and pop and rap. What other artist can do that? Dimash has an incredible range and of course in competitions it’s important to show what you can do. But also, his fans want it. All in all music and art is subjective....but not completely. We all can agree that a painting by Rembrandt is high level art....but as a collector one might prefer an Andy Warhol wall of soup cans and celebrities. Dimash is a vocal Rembrandt. A Mozart. All others today are Madonnas or Beyoncé’s. Dimash is not hardcore. He’s not ugliness or anger. He has an edge. He’s a beautiful humble soul with passion about something more than just fame and money. He cares about the world, his family and his country. He has wanted to sing and perform since he could walk. He comes from a professional musical family. But more than that....they are a family who have instilled in him values that are unfortunately lacking today. Those who love him are drawn to him because of those values as well as the singing. Frankly, I don’t see why there has to be all this comparison to others? Jealousy perhaps. But it’s stupid. There is no comparison. You can’t pick Dimash apart and believe it will make any difference to his fans. All it does is show the critic to be shallow and petty. If Aurora garners that much love and admiration to her listeners it will be evident. People should be drawn by the artist themselves...not the critics. Ultimately, the people decide who captivated them. Dimash has no problem filling arenas. People come from all over the world to see and hear Dimash live. He IS the stuff of legends and you will wish you could say you did see him. Dimash is not scaling the same mountain as the rest. He is his own mountain. Whether some people don’t get it or not. One can only pity them for missing out. Not everybody can enjoy Beethoven. And that also is a pity. Music is the sound of the soul. Whether it be a shallow one or one of depth. The ones of depth and intelligence and moral wisdom are the ones indicative of the best of humanity. Standards could use raising these days. Classical music improves intelligence, cows milk, gardens and civility in society. It’s healthy sustenance for the soul. Common music of today is like fast food. It’s tasty and quick....but provides little nourishment to grow on.

It so strange for me, when people are saying he is always showing off. Because actually most of his songs are not about many octaves or something like that. I think they heard only his popular songs which made him vocal sensation. But he has much more. Yes, firstly he had to show off , because he is not from popular country with English language and he must to "break the world". He worked hard for this all life. And the other thing - if the guy has wide vocal, why he should use only one tone? He has wide range to express the song. He sings in this way, because he CAN. Probably many singer would do this, but they just can't. That is why we are used to other type of music quality. I am so glad I have discovered him. He is my soul healer. I love music and listen to and sing most genres because I don't want to limit myself and miss something. I heard Dimash for the first time in 2017 and after that I'm completely dependent on listening to him every day. His voice heals my heart and soul. No other artist has ever touched me like that. I am Swedish and both Angelina and Aurora are Norwegian. They are also completely unique in their kind. Angelina's wonderful, natural voice and Aurora's own artistic expression, and clear, but certainly not unique voice. I can understand that she sounds very exotic, especially the Nordic and "Viking" style of songs. I don't really think that you can compare artists with each other. To me, Dimash is completely unique because he can sing everything and equally well in all octaves and with great emotion and intelligence. He plays several instruments and it's noticeable when he sings, his voice many times sounds like an instrument. He "lives" the songs he's singing.

Although i don't really listen to opera song, but some opera songs can really touch me simply because the quality of the voice and the music composition together makes the song resonate through my soul. You not being able to appreciate the opera style indiscriminately.. No wonder Dimash's SOS couldn't touch you even though ironically this is the very song that made him viral and popular all around the world. Also comparing Dimash's expression with the two artists you reacted previously saying that Dimash's expression isn't genuine.. Thank you for the reaction, but it's hard to come to any conclusions with Dimash from one performance so I'm glad you're willing to continue with more Dimash. You mentioned storytelling -- I suggest Samaltau from the Tokyo Jazz Festival. It's a Kazakh folk song; pretty stripped down, with him and two musicians live streamed from his home studio because of the pandemic. Before I get into this, I acknowledge that everyone's tastes are different so I am speaking only from my perspective. Dimash is extremely versatile and sings in nearly every genre, and in multiple languages. Yes, he's often dramatic and he's a showman, but he can also be quiet and emotional, depending on the song and the circumstances. For me, his astounding technical prowess enhances, not detracts from, his performances. His versatility, creativity, and musicality are what make him so unique and that's what I like about him. He's always unpredictable and exciting and fun to watch. He's a dynamic performer and I find that more interesting than watching someone just standing and swaying in front of a microphone. I don't really understand people who say he doesn't connect with his audience because his fans and audiences ADORE him. (You can see it in his solo concerts which are available on his YT channel.) He's got multi millions of fans around the world. Every one of his concerts have sold out. His album went platinum in 37 seconds. That doesn't happen if he's not able to touch people as a performer. Sorry if I'm gushing, but in my whole (long) life, no other singer has enthralled me the way Dimash has. Somewhere out there on KZbin is a video that shows a comparison of most of the acclaimed singers that have sung SOS well: Gregory Le Marchal, Daniel Balavoine, Bruno Pelletier, etc...The one thing I realized after watching that video is that Dimash is truly unique. Basically, all the other singers approach the song in exactly the same way. Some may sing the low parts better, some the high parts, but technically it is very similar regardless of the singer....except Dimash. He technically destroys (in a good way) the song. Which version of the song and which singer you prefer is a personal choice, but there's no denying that Dimash is doing something that isn't just special, it's something the other singers, as great as they are, simply are not capable of.

You have literally seen one performance of Dimash that was done with no audience. You need to actually see him perform to an audience and you'll realise how different it is. His audience is often seen to be in tears or mesmerized while listening and watching his shows. He also doesn't stick to just one genre, he's well known to cross over and mix genres as he feels like it. While he does a lot of operatic type music, which is where a lot of his training stems from, he loves to explore his ability and see how he can fit them to a genre. He is a talented individual that can write, compose, play and sing. You seem a little biased towards the other performers you kept mentioning and that's unfair; each performer should be judged by what you see and hear them perform. Yes, Dimash isn't for everyone as he is a complex performer and that's fine - he can't please everyone but to compare him to other artists isn't necessary.

Dimash is like picasso. You can't judge him by one painting. Hes so versatile when it comes to genres, and vocal magic. Hes everything. Those who dont like Dimash. Is for personal self issues. Bcs he satisfies all tastes. Plus for the long time ppl have been fed fast food. When u introduce suchi, kebab, middle eastern cuisine, and some top notch desserts. U will have those who experienced more than just fast food. Will be amazed by Dimash right away. And thos are the fast food ppl. Will take them years b4 they risk tasting something never seen or heard b4. Dimash is not for the west or east, south or north. Dimash is for the whole planet. United states lacks behind many things other countries had them decades ago. Plus the brother sings in Chinese and Russian, plus Italian and other languages. But Chinese mainly, and Russian will not be promoted here in the USA. The music industry is not disconnected from politics a d fake deep nationalism. Eventually a giant pyramid like Dimash cannot not be seen or talked about. I am already going to his concert in next April in Germany. I live in Michigan. And I am that wont be my first, and concert. I've been listening to Dimash daily for the last 4 years. And he still blew mind. I have never seen any musician, and human being like Dimash. And trust me I've been in many places with many different cultures, languages, and ethnicities. Nothing like Dimash. U have to listen to at least 5 songs to understand what I fully meant by u cant judge him by one song. One last thing. Racism plays a part with those who they think they dont like Dimash.

Hi Thanks for the reaction. A few things though... this performance was live but not in front of an audience. It was during quarantine. If you watch a performance during a live Concert with an audience like his Arnau Tour, you will see the great bond and connection he has with his public. He sings many genres and mixes genres on most songs. And to say that his performance seems kind of choreographed and not genuine is in my view an odd thing to say as you don't seem to know the meaning of the song neither his relation to the song which had a deep and profound meaning in his personal life. Agreed he's not everyone 's Cup of tea. I feel blessed to have this amazing artist in my life. I hope you will enjoy your journey with this wonderful artist.

@Кунанбай-е5ь3 жыл бұрын
Roman 20 часов назад That'd be too long to explain. As a short version: Dimash is especially known for his immensely high technical skill level, his songs are more technicalaly challenging than of anyone else. Some of his songs are considered "non-coverable". His vocal control, breath control, seemless transitions, vocal efficiency, accuracy, flexibility, technical "flawlessness", pitch etc are absolutely outstanding. And he's also known for his versatility, he can sing in literally all musical genres and pieces for literally all voice types for both male and female singers (in both classical and contemporary music). There's no other known singer in the world who can do that. There's actually not even any other known singer who sings classically both in chest and head voice (all male opera singers are either chest voice singers (bass, baritone and tenor) or head voice singers (countertenors), and female opera singers only sing in head voice. There's no one else (at least no publicly known person) who does both. And there's also no other known singer who can sing both of the Big 2 (classical music and contemporary music) on a high level. Most sing simply a mix of techniques for everything, it's neither contemporary not classical but something in between (like e.g. Andrea Bocelli). And they are usually not formally classically trained. Others who had real operatic training, however, usually don't sing with a real contemporary technique, they sing with a contemporised classical technique (e.g. Dmitri Hvrorostovsky). Dimash, however, switches between the big 2, and uses a REAL operatic AND a REAL contemporary singing technique. He can even switch between classical and contemporary singing freaking mid-tone. But he sings in/uses techniques and styles of all genres e.g. Classical music, neoclassical music, classical crossover (his main genre), pop (Western pop, Kazakh pop, Chinese pop, Middle Eastern etc pop that all have different stylistic vocal features), folk music of different cultures, world music, rap, jazz, musical theater, ancient ethnic chants of different cultures, RnB, rock (e.g. clean, gritty anf distorted screams), metal (e.g. heavy twang, deah growls, rattle growls), scatting etc... you name it. And it's also rare that someone sings both Western and Eastern riffs and runs. And he does all of that in more than 10 different languages, even though in every language embouchure, vowels, tongue placement etc changes aand you need to learn vocal technique in all of them seperately. Plus he has perfectionated all human vocal registers. There are 4, yet some of the singers on this list only sing in 1, and the others in like 1 1/2. There's e.g. no one else who can sing in full head voice on the list and no one who can sing in the M3 register (flageolet and whistle). But above all it's his insane technical skill. Even if he stays in one genre and one register: his stuff is incredibly difficult to sing. And there simply is no other known singer in the world who could sing his most difficult songs. Especially with such a precision and flawlessness. And that lunatic never makes any mistakes. All singers make mistakes. Dimash doesn't. And on top of that he also has the biggest vocal range ever. But he also has higher vocal education and more general musicality than all other popular singers. He started training his voice and playing multiple instruments when he was 5 years old. He has 3 different university degrees: one in classical singing (operatic bel canto), one in contemporary singing (with major in pop and jazz) and one in composing. He's currently in his doctoral studies in music. Dimash is basically a mix of high education, a looot of training, and born talent. Even with some physiological "abnormalities" that helped him develop those skill levels and range, he e.g. has absolute hearing, and he was born with abnormally long and thin vocal folds which is the reason why he could reach such a huge vocal range. And even though his breath control technique is extremely outstanding he must also have better lung function or bigger lung volume than most, otherwise some stuff he's done would probably not be possible. He plays almost 10 musical instruments on a high level and plays several different instruments live on stage at each concert. He even did improv composing (!) on the piano on some TV shows, and there's already some kind of tradition that fans give him random instruments when meeting him at the airport, he messes around with them like half a minute to 2 minutes and in that time figures out himself how to play it and can instantly play melodies on them. No matter what instruments. He has an immense sense for music, that's also why he's sometimes called Mozart of the 21st century. And he's not "only" a contemporary songwriter but also an orchestral composer (which is extreeeemely rare these days). Oh, and he's literally called best singer in the world by vocal pedagogues.

The thing you will find if you watch him enough is that he performs in lots of different genres. He does pop, rap, rock, jazz, can growl like a metalhead and sings in many different languages, romantic, even pensive. Although he does some Operatic (that's one of his signature sounds), he does bounce around a fair amount and is always experimenting. Probably another reason some people don't like him, he can't quite be categorized. It's quite a rabbit hole. The other thing I have to say is Dimash is his own animal. No one else like him. There are thousands, even millions of pop singers. The genre is overdone. I like Dimash's work because he sings about different issues than "oh yeah baby, you sexy thang" (although he does have a few songs like that to, like "Give me your love"). You probably won't get a true sense of his abilities until you get at least 6-10 songs in, and there are dozens he's made now. Anyway, hope you enjoy the journey.

Dimash understands the importance of conveying the real story of music through performance. His total commitment to the story in appearance, dress, body language, and emotion is like a mini-opera. If you ever listen to Dimash's interviews you would know that this is not choreographed (any more than any other singer) and his passion is real. Also, he didn't try to showcase his octaves specifically, it is a famous song that just had many octaves for the original singer (now deceased). Dimash was raised to be very kind, thoughtful, and generous. He is very earnest also. He has a Master's and is working on his Ph.D. and he had been offered a position in Opera but he wanted to do a more blended genre of music. He has been studying music since he was 5 years old. Both his parents are famous singers in his country and many countries that were a part of the former Soviet countries. I have always loved all types of music and even as an opera singer he is exceptional. I hope you review SOS (some of the other versions of this Famous French song) Sinful Passion (a famous Kazakh song - in this song Dimash honors the original singer with a dirge) Hello (Lionel Richie cover) Autumn Strong (a famous Chinese song-The song is about Yoshiko Yamaguchi (山口淑子), a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II) Dawn is Coming (another famous Chinese song based on a tragedy of a cable car accident where the parents make sure their child survives) Confessa (a famous Italian song, which he sings the first verse in Chinese to honor the audience, and the rest in Italian, along with The Diva Dance ( the song the Blue alien sings from the movie 5th Element which was believed to be impossible to be sung by a human so parts of the song were engineered in the movie) He also sings the Diva Dance and the Drunken Concubine alongside a famous traditional Chinese Opera singer (a male who sings the soprano parts in traditional Chinese Opera). Your comments that there were people who felt Dimash was a "show-off" were new to me and I suspect they have never actually listened to Dimash talk about his music nor understood how much devotion he has put into his craft. It is disrespectful of his hard work to assume that he is "showing off," when he is singing. His native language is Kazakh and Russian (his country was a part of the former USSR.)

Hello... He sang this song in 2017 in the Chinese competition The Singer. This song is part of the musical Starmania. I get that he is not for everyone, I wouldn't be listening opera on a daily basis, but I love this artist, his vocal agility, the passion he puts in his performances. He is releasing a lot of videos of songs he has already performed but have been only seen via KZbin of his competitions or performances. I guess due to the pandemia video production was halted and now he is actually doing the videos. He is singing some pop music (Be With Me, Screaming, Golden...) He has a new song, Stranger, and is a production, when I listen to it, it makes me feel like a movie is about to begin... Lol. He is a fan of Michael Jackson and incorporates some of his moves in some performances. I can suggest Give Me Your Love (recently released in his channel also) is more pop and more of his "voice". Hope you react to Sinful Passion, as he showcases the agility in controlling his larynx, he does like a "folk" I guess voice-note-humming (I don't know) like Middle East folk I guess (I realized I was so uneducated about those rhythms). Anyways, thank you for the reaction, and hope to see more of him, he has a bit of everything. Thank you for your reaction and appreciation of Dimash talents and vocal abilities. Dimash has been formally training and performing for over 22 years. At the age of 5 years old it was determined he had perfect pitch. Dimash is known for his exceptionally wide (bass to soprano to whistle register) vocal range and breath control. It is recorded that he has a range higher than Six (6) Octaves and continues to improve his ranges and techniques. Dimash is a phenomenal Vocal Storyteller and Performer. Dimash has stated in interviews that his octaves & range are just his tools for delivering his best performance. Dimash calls his style an "Innovation" [Neo-Classicism] in the Classical Crossover Genre. There are many Vocal Coach/Singer debates whether Dimash is a Tenor, Baritone or Contralto. Dimash combines many Styles such as Classical (Opera), Contemporary (Modern, Pop, R&B, Jazz, Rap), Estrada and traditional Kazakh folk music. Dimash is multi-talented, Musician, Singer [12 languages], Multi-instrumentalist [7 instruments], Composer, Performer, as well as co-Directing/Filming his own Music Video. Dimash graduated in 2014 from Music Institute in Classical Music with Major in Vocal Opera (Bel Canto). Dimash continued his education with University studies in Contemporary Music and graduated in 2018 with a Major in Vocal Contemporary Pop & Jazz. In the Summer of 2020, Dimash graduated with a Master of Music Composition. Dimash is continuing doctorate studies in 2020/2021 at the same University. Dimash speaks Kazakh, Russian and has a working knowledge of English. It is phenomenal and emotional to be in the audience for a live Dimash performance or Concert. I attended his Solo «Arnau-Envoy» Concert at Barclays NYC, USA in December 2019.
