I think the D8 is lipped possibly, because when he shakes the mic before he hits that note, that’s the cue for the sound engineers to bring in the track for him to lip the D8, just a conspiracy 😂😂

LOL - he actually started with a C#8 and slid up to a D8 for 5 seconds and w/vibrato - yep, Dimash has left the piano!! When you see Dimash moving his mic whilst singing, he is showing you that this is live. Seems he tried to hit the note before, but nothing came out so he shook his head, took a breathe and did it again. Simply amazing!!

"That is so high" Dimash - "hold my beer..." Great reaction! He usually hits a G7 here, but I believe he starts at a C#7 and then went to the D8 for 4-5 seconds. By the way, Dimash was sick when he did this, and he still hit it! The young man is a beast. Then he gets up and continues to sing. I notice how, after that D8, he sounds like he's singing lower, but he's not. :-)

I agree hes super impressive i am curious to know if he wanted to could be break the guiness record for highest tone by a male. Which is an E8. Diffrrence is Dimash did his in full song mode where he stretched his vocal range before the note so he must of been getting worn out when he hit that D8. And the dude that hit the E8 did it on the spot.
@lms1144
@lms1144 3 жыл бұрын
@@btanguay96 I really don't know if Dimash is interested in breaking records, but a lot of people have compared his D8 with Wang's E8. And that is pointless. Wang went in with the intention to break a record. Dimash wanted to sing a song. They both did what they planned, practiced and prepared for. Both Dimash and Wang did a fantastic job and they both deserve their credit.

Dimash told a Turkish singer/vocal coach Emre that he had extra long vocal cords, so that is evidence the issue of his vocal chords was looked at carefully. Makes sense if you want to know if such a great talent could potentially damage your voice by continually going higher or lower. One of the stranger scenes filmed of Dimash is watching a doctor inject a needle into his throat to help him get through a performance the next day in "The Singer 2017" and warns Dimash "no high notes" and then Dimash sings an otherworldly performance except we know he could not speak the day before and just took a needle straight into his throat. In the new Arnau concert, he did a new version of the Igor Krutoy (originally sung by Lara Fabian) song "Know" in which he did an entire vocalese version and hit some of the lowest notes I had ever seen him attempt.

Hi Hannah, In an interview he said he hasn’t had a cold drink in years, always warm including warm water added to the occasional coke. Plus, ‘apparently’ he swims a LOT for breath control and fitness. He’s hinted he may have more than six octaves but he doesn’t care much about the numbers. He has a doctor go everywhere with him. I think he may have hinted that his vocal cords are longer than average but who knows if all of this is just conjecture, as I suspect most of it is, except I heard him talk about the drinks. He obviously has had phenomenal coaching, especially throughout puberty. There is a video out there on KZbin of him having a real vocal lesson...fascinating!

Hello! Thank you so much! :) The only things I know: He says he practices 3 hours each day, if both have time with a voice teacher, if not (which is usually the time) alone. He started singing when he was 5 years old. As a child he sang both in the boys and the girls choir lol he has university degrees in classical and contemporary singing (and is about to get his 3rd degree in composing) and has also done some musical theater education as a teenager. I don't know, if he has any remedies, I just know that he eats what he wants lol also spicy food, which is said to be not so good for the voice, and the typical Kazakh afternoon drink is black tea with milk, he drinks that too, even though milk isn't great for the voice... and he says about himself that he's addicted to coca cola lol (which isn't good either), BUT he says he usually doesn't drink cold. But if that makes up the spicy food and milk, I don't know lol And I've seen him eat ice cream several times, so the "no cold" rule isn't that strict I guess. He practices a lot, but imo his lifestyle isn't the healthiest for a singer. He doesn't drink (I've only seen him drink a glass of red wine once) and doesn't smoke, and he tries to stay fit with swimming etc, and also eats healthy fruits additionally to the not healthy stuff, but he sleeps much too less. He usually 5 hours each night, somtimes only 2, sometimes not at all... and that worries me a little :'( because that's not healthy for the voice Oh, a popular Turkish vocal coach who's really fascinated by Dimash once visited him in Kazakhstan.. and he asked him several questions including whether he has any "anomalies" in his vocal folds and Dimash said no, but they are longer than usual

The Turkish vocal coach is very knowledgeable and did a very good interview (he has interviewed So Hyang and also is a big fan of Morissette Amon, two other outstanding singers). Thanks about the information about Dimash's eating habits; I guess every person is different, though there' are things (eg smoking and alcohol) which are clearly not good for the voice.

His lowest non-vocal fry note in live performance that I've verified is an F2 from "Your Love". Since working with Igor Krutoy the last few years Dimash has developed his lower register. I'm sure he's working on seeing 🎶"How low can he go?"🎶. Peace, InfoArtist JK, Washington, DC

Dear Hannah, For the appetizer please kindly listen and react to Dimash singing Know-New Wave 2019. For the main course, listen to Sinful Passion. And to end your day perfectly for dessert if you want to know how low he can go you can listen to Love is Like a Dream Cheers.

Dear Hannah, I have been waiting for you to get to this song. I love your sweater & your hoops. I have a large collection of hoops myself. That note was a D8 & I think his lowest is A1. When you said earlier "that note is high for him" it made me laugh so hard knowing what was coming soon after that. Among many songs PLEASE react to Love Is Like A Dream with vocal fry at the start and Ascolta La Voce which is also titled Know where some versions have very deep vocal fry at the start & finish.

That note IS high for him though. Is not high in the context of his falsetto and whistle registers, but thats close to the highest note he can sing with his modal range. As far as i'm aware the highest belted note in his range is G5, only a semitone higher than the note he was singing there.

@@nikelodeon6852 Her question was lowest note. She didn't specify lowest note in _____ register. And as far as highest note, the Guiness Book of World Records lists the highest note as E8 and Dimash reached D8 so register doesn't matter in the world record it is just the world record so there shouldn't be a qualification for Dimash if there isn't a qualification for the world record.

He does a vocal fry (correction: growl) at the beginning of some songs. One of my favorite performances is his Masked Singer performance of Our Love (Wo Men De Ai). Unfortunately, I wouldn't suggest a reaction video since it gets flagged like crazy, but he goes through most of his range and at least 4 completely different styles of voice and musicality. I would also suggest listening to the original Wo Men De Ai by F.I.R. just to get an idea of how well he arranged the piece to make it infinitely more interesting and to match his abilities. PS If you do watch that performance, be sure to get one with the full video and not the cut up one that's done to avoid copyright strikes, otherwise you'll miss his stage presence and people's reactions.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than seven languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices like "Marcelito", Dimash has his own style and is the creator of the "Popera" he also has a very pleasant, humble and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, Tenor, Sopra no, against Tenor, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, whistle tone, reaching a D8 live at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from Venezuela ❤️

I believe what makes Dimash the greatest singer of this generation is his determination to improve himself, his work ethic, and his singlemindedness never to compromise his beliefs or artistic vision. Let's talk about these points. In interviews that I saw on Kazak TV, Dimash wakes up every morning at 5AM and does 3 hours of vocal drills (scales, arpeggios, etc.)! That is before he goes to rehearsals, vocal coaching, sound checks, traveling, or photoshoots, etc., or whatever makes up his schedule for that day. To him, that time is sacred - almost religious! Likewise, to develop physical stamina, he is an avid swimmer who will spend another hour daily doing laps in the pool to develop lung capacity. He used to do Tai Kwan Do until he got hurt at 18. If there is no pool at the hotel where he is staying, he hits the treadmill for a 5k run. BTW, Did I mention that he is also doing a Master's Degree from his university in Nur Sultan in Music Composition and Arranging? He will be in LA doing a required six-week internship at the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Performance at USC in the fall. As far as your question regarding his lower range, he can fully cover a D2 with no vocal fry. Oh, and in case you missed it in this song... he actually hit a C#8 and realized his error and then corrected it into a D8! Then he added vibrato on top like a cherry on a banana split!

Dimash's exact (so far shown) range is F#1 (growling, NOT vocal fry but GROWLING, even though he also hit a very short E1 in growling, not sur whether to count it in) - A1 (lowest "normal" singing note) - C6 (highest mix) - F#6 (highest head voice) - D8 (highest whistle) it was only a semitone below world record for highest note ever sung by a human back then 2 or 3 years ago (nowadays it’s 2 semitones below world record), which is, obviously, not the very highest note he could reach. (His range was analysed by the producers of the Singer talent show he participated in 3 years ago and according to them, the highest note he showed there was G#8, as far as I remember, which would be world record and would give him more than 7 octaves, but there was never any footage of it published, thus, it doesn’t count)
