no disrespect but I think that's peobably the only song I like by Dimmu Borgir. Most of their songs I have a hard time taking seriously but I chock that up to having an elitist BM hubs who has teased me relentlessly about my addiction to 2nd nd 3rd wave black metal in addition to my addiction to nightwish whilst maintaining a deep seeded love for Burzum and Mayhem etc. I'm such a odd duck. I never fit in anywhere hahaha

I've watched this video dozens of times and everything is in sync and perfect to a fine tune. I noticed that in your video. Strange...Anyway I love your reaction. I love this band as well. These guys are better live than on CD. They know what they are doing with the orchestra and choir and it works. Very beautiful! A+++++

I was at that show in wacken! it was fucking amazing. Funny part was in the beginning of the concert. The curtain that was hiding the stage fell down and landed right on the singer Shagrath so he had to get out before he could start singing

I love this reaction! It was genuine and you can clearly see you guys love DM. It's refreshing to see new people getting into symphonic black metal. At home I'm the metal head and there's no way I can get my husband into Dimmu Borgir. A few years ago I did manage to turn him into a fan of Iron Maiden and Rammstein and we even went to see them live but it seems Dimmu Borgir is a bit too much for him lol. In case you don't have it, give yourselves a present and buy the Forces Of The Northern Light dvd or blueray. It includes the Oslo concert and the one of Wacken. It's a treat! Greetings from Germany :) Btw, how about reacting to Tristania or Therion next??

Hi, I just discover your channel today. I don't remember how many reactions I already see from you today. :D Well as you do reaction of black metal band can I suggest one of them. The 2 song follow themselves. They are from an album that a lot of black metal fans say "It's a masterpiece of black metal". So I suggest (if you want to try) to listen to the songs : # Emperor - Alsvartr (The Oath) - Paul from France # Emperor - Ye Entrancemperium - Paul from France. And after this if you like them, you could try all the album "Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk" Have a nive day.

Dimmu Borgir (/ˌdɪmuː ˈbɔːrɡɪər/) is a Norwegian symphonic black metal band from Oslo, Norway, formed in 1993. The name is derived from Dimmuborgir, a volcanic formation in Iceland, the name of which means "dark cities" or "dark castles/fortresses" in Icelandic, Faroese and Old Norse.

The first song is from a concert in Oslo in 2011, and was the first they did with live orcestra and choir. The whole concert was on youtube, but i think it`s removed. You still can find more songs. The orchestra is the norwegian national broad caster own in house orchestra, and the concert has been on tv a couple of times. Since the orchestra is public funded they have a slogan "to build bridges betwen musical geners and generations". There was also a behind the scene clip that Kel would love, wher the band and orchestra talkt abaot the project and how a orchestra should be used more for this type of music.

#painintheask Carach Angren - "The Funerary Dirge of a Violinist" or "Bitte Tötet Mich". They are a dutch symphonic black metal band. Both songs are from the same album which is a concept album about tragic/brutal stories of war. The first one is more of a ballad and the one with the german title (don't worry, the lyrics are 95% english) is fast-paced and heavy.

Hm, I don't know how you have OBS set up, but you shouldn't need to be playing the same video twice. The easiest way to do it would be to use window capture on your internet browser, maybe crop it in the filter settings, or straight up use display capture. Make sure it's in the same scene as your webcam capture, just on a higher layer, and you should be fine. Maybe you know all of that already, and you have a different issue, but I can't imagine what that would be. If you have specific questions, I might be able to help. I've been using the software quite a bit. No promises though.

Nightwish have never not been good, friend :) I had actually forgotten about that Playlist, as I had created it a few months before I saw Nightwish, so that my friends who went with me who had never heard them before could be familiar with the songs. (I should have recorded their reactions at the live show because both of them were mind blown hahaha) though I have the most soft and nostalgic spot for the older songs like Pharoh Sails To Orion (I first heard it in 2001 via my mother who gave me her copy of Oceanborn), I have to say Nightwish with Floor is just a totally new and amazing dynamic, giving them a new magic. The band looks so much happier these days, too. Hope you have a wonderful day!

In the first song both sound and video are from the Oslo concert, but in the second video only the sound is from the Oslo concert (I know, cause I heard it a hundered times by now ;) ) and the video for some reason is from the Wacken concert. Dimmu still is my favorite band. Every album they make evolves into something different. For me Enthrone Darkness Triumphant was my start into metal, and still my favorite album.

Try some of the early extreme metal bands like Mercyful Fate- Shadows, The Bell Witch, Dangerous Meeting Venom- Black Metal These guys were like the pioneers for bands like this and even the early Thrash metal scene.
