Yes, this episode was so great. I love it as much as lilymon's episode, atlurkabuterimon digivolution really earned and the process was definitely represent the crest of knowledge, such a great episode with such a great message. I love izzy and tentomon even more now, this version of them is better I think. I agree that tentomon's line get more personality than the others, I mean he is the only one that always show off his new digivolution XD and I like his kansai dialect. Owh, and I think this episode hinted us that digimons couldn't digivolve if they or their partner are being attacked or not prepared, maybe? Because there was one scene that Tai's digivice was glowing and Greymon almost digivolve to metalgreymon, but bunch of kuwagamons attacked them, kinda separated them, then the glowing from tai's digivice disappeared, same from the previous eps when Joe asked Gomamon to digivolve, but then it didn't happen cause Joe got airsick. So I think it needs both digimon and their partner ready physically and mentally to digivolve their digomon. About togemon didnt digivolve to lilymon, anime logic wise, mimi didnt ask togemon to digivolve, but in reality, I guess Toei just lazy :v About the digivolution sequence, I like it. Just showing datas and transform in the middle of the fight, cause it means more time for the story and does make more sense. I mean they're in the middle of a fight and needs power so they need to digivolve fast, it's kinda weird sometimes when suddenly big digivolution sequence drop out while they're fighting like in the og. I feel like, so the enemy has to wait and watch the digivolution sequence with us? Owh and I can't wait for your next new kaiser theory and the new ending theory. Just seeing the new ending makes me so excited, they highlighted takeru and patamon which maybe our next digidestined, my heads are full of theory right now XD And may I request reviews about kizuna and the next 5 eps spoilers if they already available. Thanks you I appreciate the awesome feedback 👍 your theory about them being physically and mentally prepared to digivolve makes sense. Can you imagine if a massive war breaks out and they get bombarded with enemy fire they won’t be able to digivolve so they might have given us a weakness for the digivoltion. And you preferring the data body increase of the digivolution sequence that’s interesting. Because at first personally I loved seeing the digivolution sequence but now I realise that it kills the momentum of the episode so having an urgent body data increase keeps the hype going.

Hmm.. About Togemon.. I think the animators got the right choice here. Can you imagine a Lilymon.. one the tiniest of the pack, even tinier that Mimi versus the rapid attacks of Kuwagamon? Heck No.. She will be invisible not invicible I think.. I prefer she is in Togemon form when she is in the most balanced form.. she got the short-range attack, the Coconut Punch and got the long-range attack, the Chiku-chiku Bang Bang..

@@DimzysDomain Oh yes. "momentum". Why couldnt I find that word, lol. I feel toei wants us to notice this. But I guess many fans (including me) already treated by the beautiful og digivolution sequence and it's kinda hard to look at Toei's good intentions on this change. But now I think it's better, we don't lose the hype and momentum. And actually, the increased data digivolution sequences (including piyomon line) aren't that bad, looks cool, and better than the OG sequences. I don't know why many people dislike those, but well I guess it's about taste so I can't say much

One neat touch i loved was the Kuwagamon using the whole purple energy blast attack that Tri introduced. Which honestly makes sense for Kuwagamon. If you're gonna make Kuwagamon a rival to the Kabuterimon species, give it a move that resembles the Electro Shocker!

It kind of bothered my the other digimon didnt turn to their Perfect forms in this episode until the end. But there was a specific scene where Taichi's digivice shining, lost its shine when Greymon was being beat up. They should have explained something for those situations. When MetalGreymon appeared, I understood that Koushiro's leadership gave Taichi the courage to fight and resulted the evolution. Mimi, I'd understand because hers involved a complex crest purity. But this episode was still excellent because of the huge character development that was hinted for at least 2 episodes earlier.

I just realized when rewatching earlier ep where metaltyranomon first appeared. It was shown that greymon almost super digivolve when taichi digivice starts pulsing a lot faster but then greymon got smacked and that light pulsing is gone.

I 100% agree! This week episode was one of the greatest episode so far, really on par with episode 12, the Lilymon ones! Koushiro and Mimi episodes really deserving their crest's meanings! This episode make me love Koushiro - Tentomon-line combo more, yaaay! Definitely better than the first AtlurKabuterimon digivolution episode from 1999 version... My wish came true! Yes Koushiro, you should understand and realize that your greatest asset was your brain, not your laptop.. the true knowledge! I love this version of Tentomon more than the 1999 version too! He got more personality than just a Kansai-ben's user... Maybe the staff tried to compensate his lack of facial expression and cuteness of the others rookie-level Digimons and decided to gave him one big and unique personality.. Kansai-ben user plus Kabuki-like movements.. then.. Oyaji-like.. gags? hahahaha.. Go go go, Tentomon-line!

You could have a point there because he is a stone faced bug it’s difficult to read his emotion. But Kabuterimon is just epic for me if you put the partner digimon separately I feel kabuterimon would be the leader of the group

Since the first time I saw Kabuterimon in the opening song and then in episode 5 of 1999 version's anime, I knew that he was and is special and superior to the others.. His design was one of the most complex one after all.. on par with Angemon I think.. I remember I was hoping that his next digivolution would brought him a more flexible body at that time.. but then we've got AtlurKabuterimon.. 10 times or more bigger than Kabuterimon.. hahahaha.. Well my hope was kinda answered by Stingmon I think.. He was what I pictured of what Kabuterimon next evolution should be.. but with bigger body.. but I still like AtlurKabuterimon and HerakleKabuterimon was a badass too! And I love how Tentomon-line was never useless.. even in the 02 series when he wasn't in the spotlight, he was such a busybody, gathering information here and there, then be the one who keep communication with the others.. Act like a true alpha leader, he was.. And yes, I do agree that Koushiro was the true leader! He was and is the Shadow King.. the mastermind behind all the acts!

It was a solid and great episode... I have to watched 3 times because of my observation that I notice... Izzy is very smart (Of course that's why he is the keeper of Crest of Wisdom) but he is very kind kid he didn't insist on what he thinks on a situation unless someone ask him or just informs them... I like him this episode because he was shown that he is capable of doing this beside looking at his laptop. Tentonom like out of all partner Digimon ,even in the original anime, is very mature and funny like when he Digivolved into Kabuterimon and Atlurkabuterimon his voice is like a father voice (I don't know if it just me that I think that sounds like) and makes you wanna listen... The episode shown the first enemy of the Digidestined another montage of the original. The Digivolution scenes of Atlurkabuterimon is also fast but its kinda resembles the Digivolution of last week episode... It was a good Digivolution... But the battle between him and Okuwamon is fantastic... When it was a battle... IT IS A BATTLE!!! Oh Yeah... I have to admit I do love the fighting scenes between the Champion versus the Kuwagomon it looks like they really put some effort unlike the original... There are many light moment also like when Mimi said I hate them and Tai said I think they heard it she apologize but still she hates them that is typical Mimi... There are some personality in her that still got from the original but still they manage to balance it... I am happy that Izzy's Laptop is okay again... It makes you wonder some reasons why his Laptop is not working properly... Because of Devimon... We will never know... In my view why Togemon did not digivolved into Lilimon is that 1 Kuwagomon only follows her and I think Togemon can handle it just fine... Where is Tai was followed by 3 Kuwagomon that's the reason Greymon Digivolve into MetalGreymon just finish them all at once... But as you look at it I think MetalGreymon or even WereGarurumon have been featured in episode when Lilimon debut and Garudamon appeared and in the next episode I have a feeling WereGarurumon will also appear in it... I think in the next upcoming episodes they will reunite again and suggesting the end credits... You know who will be joining soon... As of the teams... Well I know lot of you like the team Tai/Mimi/Izzy over Yamato/Sora/Joe but in my view... You have to understand that they have different personalities it just so happens that the first group has a good companionship because they have the same purpose where as the other team well Yamato has its own personal mission but still undertsandable.. The Last scene was so funny and I am excited about Joe's focus episode looks like he will be shown how is capable in fighting... All in all the episode is great....

Excellent points togemon handled the situation so lilymon wasn’t needed but I do hope we see her more she needs to shine. And the team of Matt sora and joe the only issue is that joe is the third wheel that’s why I feel people prefer the other team over this one, because the other team feels like a team.

Well. This trio is way better coz they work hand in hand, they gave great chemistry and they work synergistically together. And they all represented their CREST really well. While yamato and sora are just "meh". They dont seem to give a damn. Honestly the long sequence evolution is wasted to yamato. Whom i feel doesnt even belong in the group. I just hope that joe will come through although i kinda doubt that

Hmm...I'm somewhat on the fence towards this episode. Though some might attempt to handwave having Kabuterimon simply transport the small group over the maze of canyons, the option to go through it wasn't particually a bright idea itself in terms of strategy and common sense. As not only did it restrict the groups movements, it allowed the Kuwagamon to virtually pounce right on top of them. Compared to going across the surface where there would have been more open terrain to prevent that and allow them time to prepare better. Weirdly, at one point Mimi whines about them not being able to get out if they get lost...Errrmm... :/ There's also the secondary problem with what exactly is stopping Greymon and Togemon from evolving at any point. It's handled in a rather vague manner by the writer. The initial impression is that the Kuwagamon don't give them a chance, but there are a number of moments where the protagonists are given valid breathing space, and had no issues with going to Champion under such conditions. As a result they spend much of the time getting beaten up, while still being able to shrug it off and keep going, until suddenly Greymon can evolve. I think a simple solution would have been to have at least one other enemy Ultimate around to keep the other two distracted while Okuwamon seperated and went after Izzy and Kabuterimon. The better parts of this episode largley being when it focussed on those two. . Tentomon has always been both understanding but at the same time encouraging towards his partner, which is largely what makes them my favourite duo. The aesop about not relying heavily on technology was a bit heavy-handed, but works okay enough for developing Izzy. In showing that he's not just some logic driven stoic, but a reserved and sometimes insecure kid who occasionally needs a big xenomorphic looking insect to provide emotional support. Lastly, MegaKabuterimon is the best Ultimate. That's a fact not an opinion. :P

Haha he is one of the best. My issue and I forgot to mention in my review is that the actual digivolution from champion to ultimate took place at the wrong time. It should have been when kabuterimon was getting squashed by oukowamon that was the perfect time.

I got an idea for build divers Digi destined Riku - dracomon > Coredramon green/blue > wingdramon/groundramon > breakdramon/slayerdramon Because his sure name means land referencing green line being land/ground and his 00 diver sky reference blue line being air/sky. Yukio - agumon 2006 or snow agumon > geogreymon > Rize greymon > shine greymon Because well sure name means snow and his last name means summer and heat and his jegan blaster is long range blast like Rize greymon’s revolver gun. Momoka - Palmon or floramon > togemon Because her sure name means thousands flower Aya - falcomon > peckmon > ravemon Because her name means birds and she’s ninja themed Koichi - lobomon > KendoGarurumon > BeoWolfmon Because his name means light.

I loved this episode just as much as i loved lillymons episode. Like wow. This trio really represented their crest really well. And their champions are such badass. The way greymon and togemon are working as a team watching each others backs against 5 kuwagamons. Just WOW. I cant wait to see their ultimates work 2gether honestly. I really hope they maintain this trio, coz i aint a fan of the other three. Lack of character development. No personalities. Their digimon are honestly boring to.

Hmm, do they have different writers for different episodes? I mean, most fans agree that they really liked the re-debut of lilymon and alturkabuterimon. I mean, after watching this episode, I was moved actually. Koshiro is far smarter than any device but he lost touch with that. I’m glad kabuterimon reminded him. I mean, out of the 5 super evolutions following their specific crests, only 2 were lackluster which were friendship and love. I didn’t feel any friendship or love from either of these evolutions. Hence, it downgraded the episodes along. However, I really love that they are writing such good stories for koshiro and mimi. The both of them got good chemistry with their digimon partners and good character development. Taichi‘s episode was also kind of mediocre, nothing too bombastic like these two. Then, we have Yamato, which is a little bit better from Sora’s episode. I swear to god, it is like they somehow push sora to the back of the cast. Sorry for the long rant... also before I finished, we were hinted of takeru and patamon in the new ending. Are we going to see them after joe’s episode?!! I’m excited, I have been waiting for my baby to come out so much 😭

I think I read somewhere that yes, they divided into 2 group, 1 group make Taichi's group stories, and the other make Yamato's group stories. And I agree, Taichi's group have a better story and dynamic, I'm actually got bored watching Yamato's group.. And I hope they make Joe character better next week my god, I like OG Joe better! For Yamato, I think the friendship crest will be much earned in episode 8 or something, when he and Garurumon tried to get in somewhere, I forgot and the kids helped him even when he pushed them away, I thought that moment Garurumon will evolved to Weregarurumon but, NOPE!

I know corona ruin their production... but the animation is lazy, no I'm not talking about evolution animation or big battle... I'm talking about sometime when the character speaks, their mouth isn't moving, or sometime the character style is off. Knowing Toei, they probably going to fix this when they release the Blu-Ray or something like always.

Corona did affect production but it didn't animation quality as one may think unfortunately. The fundamental truth is that digimon never really had stand out animation, and after the first 3 episodes many staff were taken off as they wanted the first 3 episodes to feel like "our war game" quality Toei can't be excused by the laziness as the quality dip is evident... They will maybe fix very bits such as the faces and disproportionate characters during the stills, but don't hold your breath haha It should be better when we get to Devimon...i hope
