Very well said, and I couldn't agree more! I'm not Muslim myself but I've always been fascinated by Islamic culture, especially here in the West where there's a dual culture and influences. I'm often afraid of asking questions out of fear of sounding rude and upsetting someone, so its nice to have a safe space to learn about different beliefs and traditions! A lot of ignorance simply comes from miseducation, we don't ask questions and therefore become stuck in 'fearing what we don't know'. So many prejudices and taboos could be broken down if we all just took more time to talk, listen and teach one another. Blessings to everyone ❤

vanity - no modesty here - its all about lets try and make ourselves attractive so that we can attract more men whilst we keep our hijab on. Met a lot of girls who say we wear the hijab, and then we make what we reveal so attractive so that men must imagine what we look like without hijab. Ends up defeating the purpose of modesty, These days when you go to these shisha places you see who stands out - the hijab's - actually when I talk to my male friends they laugh and mock them for the amount of makeup that would need to be chiselled from their faces, A lot of the guys say - wouldn't want to be with that as you never know whats underneath of all that - a lot to be hiding under that makeup - mostly dog ugly -

+Kasha Shah I really don't know what you are trying to say. If you see a group of hijabi girls you can't pass a judgment straight away. Nobody in this world is perfect and if you are a Muslim you would understand that not even God expects us to be perfect. Everyone have different level and stages and they have their own battling with their desires. Some people start of with hijab and makeup and than eventually stray from it. Than its the intentions and I am all for not caking yourself up, but I wouldn't start knocking a person down just because they wear makeup, it just means they have reached their level of modesty with hijab and the next stages of modesty will gradually come. I know about the shisha places and u do see that, but I wouldn't agree that it's populated by women who observe the hijab. The issue is not the hijab is, the issue is everyone are not perfect only God knows what is in their heart.

You could see a woman with so much makeup on and she is more humble and pious than one who is covering up fully. In the eyes of Allah they could be seen more modest. Saying this the hijab is vital and there are many reasons why, but to understand we have to go to the core subject of Islam itself so god and what is amazing about him.
