honestly. people. get over yourself. stop telling her what way to wear the hijab. its ok because its her style. we cant digest it coz its different. if u dont like it dont do it. atleast she is doing something. i am a muslim i dont even wear a hijab. she wears a scarf. evrybody has their own thing. u can already see enough comments about her hijab. it's not important for everyone to jump in and start commenting about it.

agree with you. There's a universal rule no matter the religion, culture, or race. We have no right to judge others. Everyone is free to believe and act as they please as long as you don't hurt or put someone's integrity in danger. Stop the hate and judgement. you can think whatever you want in your mind but if you're not gonna say something nice don't say anything at all
@gulandmum55548 жыл бұрын
***** it's her decision. If she decides she can stop wearing it. And Allah knows whats inside. Maybe He accepts her effort. u dont really know. Us humans know nothing. And islam forbids judgement of another person's faith. And guess what she inspired me so much that i started doing hijab and from this style i will gradually change to wearing the whole abaya... so won't Allah put positive points into her data? Just stop the judgement.
@gulandmum55548 жыл бұрын
***** ikr. Even islam teaches us. Islam tells us all the things we should follow but if someone is not followig that thn we are not supposed to judge them. Because everybody is different.thats the beauty if His creation. That He made us all different in nature.
@gulandmum55548 жыл бұрын
***** and what if Allah accepts this in her case?? And im not pretendig that this is the right way. But this is something. She is not showing off her hair. Even when i wear hijab the other way. Which is proper according to everyone. Still the hair on my front pop out. The thing is don't force others so much that they stop doing even what they are doing. I see comments which are not humble.

It's quiet ironic how there are many people commenting and questioning on Dinas faith because of the attire she's wearing. The majority of you probably don't pray at all, go out or even worse and the funny thing is that it's the men having the audacity to complain. I know many Muslim girls that cover up for show and are a far cry from being a Muslim. You can clearly see the baggy clothes she wears, the scarf around her neck and her own style of hijab. We are in no position to judge. So sit back and watch or remove yourself.

+Sunna Followers I think you've misinterpreted what I'm saying. In no way did I say that if you Sin then you can never be Muslim. What I am saying is that those that are insulting Dina could hardly be put on the pedestal for a devote Muslims and nor will they admit it, which you ironically are saying about Dina. Also the way Dina has done her scarf is perfectly fine although she can do it differently. The Hadith focuses on the breast and head. You are right, there is no problem for pointing out to a fellow sister that she can do her head scarf different. However there is a thin line to educating and insulting. Also lets not focus on the female and let's look into this Chapter 24, An-Nur, Verse 30 “Say to the believing men that: they should cast down their glances and guard their private parts (by being chaste). This is better for them. And not to lustfully look at a woman” Or should we just insult Dina more? The choice is up to you.

+Sunna Followers There is a difference between making someone understand and hating on her because she is wearing her abayaa or hijab wrong.
@Lala16ss7 жыл бұрын
"Sunna followers", you do realise that criticising and advising someone in public is very not Islamic. If your intention is pure and you do it for Allah, so that you can guide her to the right path, you should be doing it privately, saying things like she is not doing what Allah is asking and things like that is embarrassing her. Unless you feel like, whenever someone is telling you off as an amazing thing without you feeling embarrassed at all, even then it is still not Islamic. If you are what you say you are, be more Islamic and privately message her.
@Lala16ss7 жыл бұрын
***** Well, that is between you and Allah. But to me, doing so is embarrassing to her. Like for me, I know that some of the things she is doing is wrong, what I can do is advice her in private or pray to Allah that Allah guides her to the straight path. Even if she doesn't read nor reply to your privates messages. You know that Allah will still give you good deeds as you have tried. Iam not perfect, can never be perfect, just because Allah hides my sins does not mean I am not a sinner. Oh and I don't want Allah to show mine either. Just because she is a public figure, it does not mean that you can say or talk about her aib in front of other people. We are not here to judge. Sometimes having a lot of Islamic knowledge makes us more judgmental when in contrary we should be less.
@Lala16ss7 жыл бұрын
***** Lol attack. It is funny when I tell you off it is an attack but when you 'advice' people it is not. Hypocrite at the finest. To be honest, no point in talking to people who think so highly of themselves. I am not preventing you from advising people, I am asking you to do it gracefully and in an islamic way but it's hard to tell people that believe they are way better than everyone else. May Allah guide you to be humble and be a better Muslim insyaAllah. Let's see how you like when I tell you off in public. From the previous posts tho, you don't seem to like it lol. Don't bother replying. I am not going to entertain Muslims like you.

AH M Its society. We should looking up to white people to be honest, who are ahead in sciences, medicine, law, culture, space technoligy, intelligence etc hell I met 15 year white girls who are way more intelligent and decent then mid 20s Muslims.
@HappyRainbowTown9 жыл бұрын
Excalibar Eclipse I think there is an exception to every rule. There are plenty of intelligent teens and mid20s and older Muslims. I do think we don't know half the story anyway because the media doesn't highlight our achievements as much as the average white, Christian kid is highlighted. Plus, there was once a time where Muslims were ahead. They laid the foundation for the work you say white people are doing today. I guess we're suffering major setbacks foor sure. There are too many internal crises for muslims right now. War and poverty and so on. I don't think it's fair to compare, especially considering it is the West which had a large hand in destabilizing Muslim societies (not to deny the muslim's hands in their own destructions, but my point is that I don't think it's a good idea to compare.) Anyway, this went off topic I think, all I meant by my comment was that Dina should make videos to give young girls advice because she has a good head on her shoulders and in my opinion would give good advice, maybe she would guide some young girls in the right way, and I don't think this white peoples achievements vs Muslims achievements debate has any link to what I was talking about. Appreciate your input, and I do agree to a certain extent. Thanks for your comment :) And thank you for the likes everybody. I do hope Dina starts advice videos. It would be lovely.

Sydney Chamberland Most women seem to think they look better thin because that's what they are indoctrinated by (especially in the Europe / US context) but I think this video is a prime example that women look amazing when they actually have some body fat rather than having very little which leaves them looking dull and aged.
@arwa3ntar9 жыл бұрын
Sydney Chamberland OMG why the hate everyone has old pictures that they are no proud of, having more weight on or having a really wired style. I guarantee when most girls look at their old pic they will say the same thing. people go through phases in their life and they have the right to criticise it, otherwise no improvement will ever be needed. stop making her sound like she has a problem when she doesn't

I love your message about telling young people not to grow up too fast. I 100% agree with that! I am a little sad, though, that you kept saying you were "chunky" or that your cheeks were big. I think you were absolutely beautiful! Plus we can't always control those sorts of things, anyway. My sister has battled an eating disorder for years because she worried about how wide her face was. There are more important things! Easier said than felt, obviously. :)

Dear Dina, I am not muslim, I am a christian 21 year old girl but I am about to adopt a lot of the islamic faith as I am now reading the Qu'ran for the first time. And I understand exactly how you feel and how you react to these old pictures because in my oppinion it is normal to change a lot during the puberty and I went through a similar process. But what I really don't get is why half of the muslim people here just take note about 3 centimetres of hair shown on her forehead. Guys, she didn't feel comfortable back in these days, she had an eating disorder, she felt fat - and she wore her hijab in another way. And? Really, what is wrong with you muslim guys that you think you can judge any girl or woman on her hijab? Does hijab mean she has to wear boring clothes and feel uncomfortable? I read in the Qu'ran it is not allowed to judge because Allah forbids it - are you muslims so far about your own religion? Really I am thinking about saying Shahada, the more I read in the Qu'ran, the more it changes my personality and my faith. But when I think about wearing the hijab I already feel nervous and you know why? Because people like you! It is hard enough to wear this scarf in these times and that the western civilization judges hijabis as suppressed women or worse, so we really don't need more judgement from the Umma itself! Please think about it and be kind and understanding. We say in Austria: Clean your own house, before you start with another. Greetins from Austria
@frHandM8 жыл бұрын
Hi xX33ZoEe33Xx, Your concerns are right and to the point. Actually Islam doest not allow to judge somebody on his faith, only God can judge this. I think a lot of these people trying to make a big fuss of three hairs that can be seen through Dina's scard are either jealous or fustrated. People tend to judge without knowing the real story and it is si sad. by judging on these little thing they are giving the wrong image of Islam, like it is a harsh religion, you have to care about silly little things and it is really hard to be a good muslim. Some are comenting on the lipstick, but the thing is if they focus on these silly comments nobody is gonna become muslim anymore So i support every word u have said in your post and i also support u in your struggle to find the right path Sorry for my poor english Best wishes from France

I had to pause the video to write this -- yes! I am 22 now, so only couple years younger than you are, and I feel like when I was 12, 10 years ago, I was still playing with my younger brother and his friends (no girls my age in the neighbourhood), riding bikes, running around, and at that time I JUST started to look around for some makeup, I would usually only wear a little bit of mascara, a sheer lipgloss or a lipbalm, and maybe a little concealer because I have quite dark undereye area... I wore tomboyish clothes. I never thought it was strange, but nowadays girls that age, around 12-13 dress, and behave way too mature. I think they might miss out a lot.

This actually makes me feel better about myself lol. I'm 16 and seeing other people my age look so pretty and look hot and look waaaayyy older than 16.. Just makes me feel bad but now I know I'm not alone. Do a video on this topic?

I love that you did this it's completely adorable. I must say though, I have found none of your pictures embarrassing. My pictures on the other hand, GOOD LORD lol love you Dina!

You're literally the funniest person on here, and you and sid together are just even worse! Always have me cracking up in every video, no joke. Must admit i thought you were like a lot of other bloggers nowadays but you're actually soo down to earth, it's really refreshing to see. And this video proves it. I'm 16 and everyone my age are like skipping the 'in-between, embarrassing' stage, and i'm kinda just chilling out and doing it my own way cos I know that they're just being influenced by others. HATE trends. One thing thats really annoying tho is how people look down on you just cos you're not at the same stage as everyone my age nowadays, but i know its normal

All of you guys shaming her are too funny. You say shes wearing it the wrong way and calling her a sharmuta (slut) and you guys still have the audacity to pretty much claim that you are a better Muslim than her. In Islam, you do not judge or criticize anyone under any circumstances. It is a religion of peace, love and understanding. Please remove yourself from the comments because you just sound like a bloody idiot going on and insulting her when you are no better yourself. If you believe she is doing wrong, that is between her and God, and it is in no way your business.

As a child I saw Islam as a repressive religion that was horrible to women as I grew up I realize is not like that but I also realize that that stereotype is based on the people that judge other people that also believe in Islam by their looks.Calling someone a slut just because a little bit of her hair is showing yet the Quaran(sorry if I spell it wrong) says don't judge your brothers and sister for their faith because only God can judge their decisions(I read it a long time ago so don't get mad if it's not 100% accurate). This is the thing media uses to portray Islam like a repressive religion towards women,the comments judging other women that believe in Islam the "true believers of Islam" say,so sad these people are making all Muslim seen like that. Ps.English is not my first language so I may have some mistakes don't be rude,I'm trying

After reading all those comments, I feel like I need to say that you are very beautiful Dina and that the way you wear your hijab now doesn't make you any less modest. I've seen a few videos of yours and you're not wearing any tight close any more, we can't see your 'body'. So who cares if we can see a bit of your roots or your neck, or your wrist. The important thing is how you feel about yourself. You are married, in a healthy relationship with a man you didn't "date" to be a good muslim and who wanted to marry you from the beginning. I think you are very respectworthy, very beautiful and giving a good image of islam. You're doing this on your own choice, on your own terms and we can see you are a happy hijabi.
@janjanrateb27688 жыл бұрын
Are you a muslim. No you arent PROBABLY. The hijab needs to cover ALL tje hair and you cant show the neck either. Its not like oh ot doesn't matter iys only a little bit. This is not a hijab. A hijab is for modesty and inner beauty this doesn't show modesty. Anyways ots her choice and you're free tp write whatever im just telling you the right thing.
@MiuMiracle4228 жыл бұрын
sorry, there are rules to wear hijab properly. And you CAN'T ignore them. It's mandatory to cover the whole hair, neck and chest. Even a strand of hair is a sin if you let it shows. Yes i can know which cause sin which isn't because we have a 'guidebook'. it's pretty sad she's moving backwards... she wears hijab correctly then... but now...
