this is really sad to hear. I met Dingo in person at Animal Con and Gatorland and he was just the nicest guy. He managed to juggle being humble, a star, and taking great care of his animals and family at the same time. You could see his passion clearly. He was like the Kianu Reeves of the animal world. Dingo was so much more than just a KZbin personality. He had dedicated his life to the education and conservation of all creatures great and small including the scaly creatures that go unnoticed by most others. Same here. He was way too reckless with venomous snakes. All it’d take was a tiny scrape considering how allergic he was + he can’t have any anti venom bc of said allergy. Just in the 3-4 years I’d been watching him he had 2 or 3 really close calls.

This is very sad for everyone. I think about 2 years ago he was bitten. And also 8 months ago? This is like Steve Irwin. The writing was on the wall. I had a friend who had the same type of Gung Ho approach to nature, and it's denizens. Well he also had his Darwin moment, and he did not survive it. There was another guy who was also like the above two. Mark O'Shea. I think the only reason he is still alive, is that he stopped handling dangerous snakes. And there are more KZbinrs out there who are on the same path.

He had a screw loose just like Steve Irwin. Always just a little more intrusive with animals. Ain't here to talk crap, don't misunderstand me, I liked them both, and its always a shame to lose somebody who dedicates his life to animals. At the same time I really felt sometimes that he just crossed a line quite often when handling certain animals. At least he passed doing what he liked the most.

Its not often mentioned that snake venom often renders its victims as a former shadow of their previous self. If you survive after anti venom treatment often you end up in hospital for a while and later develop immune diseases and nervous system issues. Depending on the snake and venom type.

If you handle something so extremely dangerous long enough, you tend to get comfortable. If you're going to handle deadly reptiles, you must treat each encounter as if it were your 1st. Like Steve Irwin, this oke pushed boundaries way too far. They never learnt to leave wild animals and reptiles alone. They don't like being handled and chased and played with and when you don't respect those boundaries, you get bitten. I am sorry he lost his life but not surprised at all .....

I just saw a video of Dingo some weeks ago in a cage with 6 black mambas and i thought to myself, that this guy will die in the near future. RIP.
