Dinky Die Cast Toys Klingon Battle Cruiser (1977)

Was a favorite toy of mine. I loved the colors. I liked the Kannard wings/ flairs in front they used for the trigger to fire and wished they incorporated that look into the real Klingon battlecruiser.

As a little kid, I was put off by the plastic “wing” tips on this ship. It just looked cheap/flimsy. I was upset they just didn’t use metal, I mean Dinky was the “king” of die cast toys. I went with the rescue Eagle (Space:1999) instead. That was very solid toy. It took a lot of abuse.

Jerry Bourget 670 subscribers Cool. I hope Diamond Select toys one day makes the Klingon/Romulan D7 Battle Cruiser into a lights and sounds toy. Could you also do a review on the MEGO Toys Klingon K'Tinga class Battle Cruiser from "Star Trek I: The Motion Picture?"

Jamie, I agree, that would be a great ship from Diamond Select. I would love to get my hands on the MEGO Klingon ship as well as the USS Enterprise from Star Trek The Motion Picture. If I am ever lucky enough to get one, I will absolutely make a video.

@@jamieolberding7731 No, I haven't. I don't own any mega bloks pieces. I mainly am attracted to the ships that light up with sound effects or model kits. But that video was pretty cool. From the disrupter fire to the Klingon Flag, thanks for sharing.

@@TrekFanNCC-1701 It's the closet thing we have to a LEGO set of a Klingon D7. I highly recommend you buy it and to add to your collection. There's also the Original series version of the Starship USS Enterprise NCC-1701: www.amazon.com/Mega-Bloks-Enterprise-Collector-Construction/dp/B01ARGB91K [Which features working LED warp nacelle lights] that's also made by Mega Bloks too as both of these sets are actually very well detailed collector model sets that you can put together. Please keep in mind the Mega Bloks Enterprise NCC-1701 model set is mostly for display only, because it's not made for play. So be very careful when you put it on your shelf. The Mega Bloks Klingon D7 Battle Cruiser model on the other hand, is actually made both for play and display.
