I am so glad to see an Indian lady hosting an etiquette video. It shows me, that certain things are the same at an Indian table, regarding the passing of food.

Thank you for your video. It's useful for those who want be presentable in formal occasions. Every person who criticized your language is pathetic. And every person who thinks this video is useless has no ambition in life, and is happy eating from the local restaurant and probably chews with their mouth open. P.S. Don't use your hands to take pick up for that's shared by others. Roti, papad, salad or whatever. This Covid should be the right lesson to understand why we need to maintain hygiene.

Quarter plate is meant to be on the left side and not on the right side
@Rue7472 жыл бұрын
Why so? And why is roti served on the quarter plate that's placed on the left side of the dinner plate- especially since people are predominantly right handed. Do we have to reach over the dinner plate to break off the roti or is it ok to shift the quarter plate to my right?

Yes do whatever you want in your home. Not during formal occasions where the roti basket is shared by others. It's rude and unhygienic to stick your hands in a communal dish. If you don't know how to do things properly, learn with an open mind. Please don't spread wrong information.

@rcgeraghty66277 жыл бұрын
vivek kumar, best of luck with your studies. Let's hope you won't get too homesick in Switzerland, when you miss Asian foods from home. I sometimes eat Indian dishes, mostly on weekends. We Irish are very, very, very big on Asian dishes, as our native dishes lack spices and they are bland to Asian standards. I get Asian takeaways from restaurants. Some shops here in Ireland sell Asian foods like gram flour, chickpeas, etc. I sometimes try Asian cooking at home, as I follow recipes from KZbin.

It is a good representation of your country to dine using etiquette for formal dining, usual to them.
