It was mostly semi-industrial electronic Groove Metal, except "Edgecrusher" is a Nu Metal song, so I guess to some people that was close enough to consider it an Alternative song. Fear Factory has always been heavily influenced by Techno & Ministry (Industrial) along with Death Metal.

@@michaelromeo9567 if you're referring to the musical taste of their former bass player with the longest bass playing role in the band, what does he & his musical taste of Hip Hop have to do with what I said? I know Roadrunner Records pressured them to to record the Nu Metal influenced album "Digimortal", but that's not Alternative which is the subgenre I was addressing.
