The downside of a bengal cat is ...you can't ignore him....if you ignore him he will turn your life to hell.....he also picky with food....he doesn't like to be touched.....Also he is strong ..... if he attacks...he can cause serious damage...so you should keep him happy all the time...

Yes. Bengals are extremely high energy. I had one for 12 1/2 years. He was my baby and he was dangerous in the end because he was sick. He ruled our house. I swore I would never get one again, but I fell in love with his ridiculous personality and I can’t see myself bonding with any other kind of cat. Now I know full well how to prepare my house, how to play with them and what to expect. I don’t recommend them to people who don’t know how to handle cats. And, yes, they can be dangerous. My Benny had to be sedated just to be examined by the vet. Do your due diligence! If you don’t know who Jackson Galaxy is you have no business getting a Bengal.

Our replacement Bengal was just lovely, kind and friendly (except to other cats), but he was a danger to our furniture (totally worth it!). Much worse, though: he had genetic/autoimmune problems that ruined his teeth, and his totally necessary dental treatment was insanely expensive. Most of his teeth had to be extracted by the vet (no easy decision), and the only alternative would have been to euthanize him (because his teeth were so painful when they started to deteriorate because of his autoimmune condition) Also, we were not told about his condition when we got him. I've met other Bengals with the same problem with their teeth. They can live happily without teeth, but I think the breeders should not continue breeding cats with such problems.

I bought my Bengal (deceased) in 1997 after searching for awhile and trying to decide what breed to get. I eliminated several for various reasons - didn't want a Siamese because they were too vocal, etc, and really liked the markings of a Bengal, so got a nice "pet" quality (color not up to show standards) from a breeder in Southern California. I loved that cat (still do) for the next 17 years until I had to have her euthanized in 2014 because of liver failure. But I laughed those 17 years because I believe she could out talk any other breed on the planet. She was VERY vocal - used to keep me apprised of everything she was doing, and probably what she thought I should have been doing. We had a terrific relationship. If I were younger I would get another.

Good to adopt a cat for your Bengal to have company. Bengals don't cope well with being alone. But Bengals can be domineering so the other cat needs to be strong and able to cope with that.

My Bengal loved to be touched and snuggled. He didn’t like to be picked up though. He was a YAPPER for sure! And LOUD. Strong, loving, smart & friendly. I wouldn’t recommend for first time cat owners. Lol wouldn’t have traded him for the world. I miss him so. 😞

My Bengal loved to "lift on our hands" , she learned it as a kitten, we'd hold it as plateau she would sit on, and then we walk and move her in the direction she would look into. As she got bigger and bigger she kept doing it. Quite comical because eventually she became relatively huge.

We have had 3 Bengals, loved every one. They are really more like dogs. Come when you call, fetch, talk back to you when you ask them to. They are highly intelligent and thus demanding of stimuli. They are alpha animals. We found a second cat, no matter the breed is very beneficial to them. Finally, do not ever let them see you getting toilet paper from the roll and do not, under any circumstances, teach them to flush the toilet. It will never end.

Had lever type faucet knobs. Mia learned to turn on the faucet. Mia taught Pixel. Had to get different knobs so the cats couldn't flood the kitchen. They loved water and would 100% invade shower and nip on your calves to scare the shit out of you. So, advice, no lever faucet knobs and lock door during shower.

Same! I just found out after 6 months of having her that she’s a bengal. I ended up bringing her into my room the first nite I moved into a house where the landlord was fostering her, said she’s not getting along with her own cat so she just kept her in the garage! 3 months later I moved out and became her foster parent… but technically she’s mine forever cause she’s so old, apparently the vet said 13 (but looks like a teenage kitten she’s so small!). She was always yowling and everyone thought she was in pain cause we thought we were dealing with an ordinary cat! Now I know it’s cause she’s mostly bengal. I was scared she was in pain and suffering, what a relief. And without knowing her breed, because she’s so small, deaf, has only 4 teeth and we have too many coyotes and predators where I am I cannot let her go outside alone, so I’ve been slowly training her because I felt bad she was in cages a lot of her life and wanted to show her the world and now she’s practically walking around like a dog. Gets along with dogs better than cats, is very tolerant of humans… and whenever I’m in bed she’s on me too! We are so bonded, and it was a perfect time to get a cat… I’ve been waiting 2 years for the right time and she literally landed in my lap ❤ we saved each other!

DO NOT get a Bengal if your a first time cat owner! I made that mistake and on the 2nd day of bringing him home he got lost behind the stove and I had to get fire and rescue to fish him out! I have had my Bengal Sacha for 18 months and he is still quite active. He runs after me in the dark as my back is turned and pounces on my leg, he meows loudly at my door and follows me literally everywhere I go. He will still hide under my bed and loaf in the side of the room from time to time. Bengals are still very much a social cat so be well prepared if you get one, especially if you have other pets.

Dogs are super hard to toilet train. A dog goes outside on grass instead making it you have to walk through there shit. I like dogs too but cats are Easyer to raise because there smarter then dogs. A animal that can't be properly potty trained is really difficult to deal with. I think dogs can be to jumpy as well when your exhausted and tell them to stop majority of dogs will not stop.

I had two & found that even when they're over 10 yrs old that they still need plenty of mental stimulation & exercise every day. They don't cope at all well being the only cat. They really need a feline companion, preferably another Bengal, or a cat which isn't easily dominated. Oh, and, Snow Bengals are wilder, so more of a challenge. One of mine was a food thief, the other nagged me until I gave her attention, and both were Carpet Removal Specialists who literally worked side by side at this! ❤️😸❤️😺❤️

Bengals are like a work of art.....the beautiful markings.....and those piercing green eyes. And their wild looks deceive their gentle natured demeanor. The only thing holding me back from getting one of these cats is the need to rescue some of the many unwanted strays from the pound in our county. The stray animal population in our NC county is out of control.

Our Bengal male turned 10yo this spring. Still very active. Very demanding when HE is in the right mood, he loves to be touched, pet’ or brushed for extended time. When he thinks, its enough, he simply leaves his place on my chest. One thing in regards to socialization. He came into our house, from cattery in the age of 4 months, to two 10+ yo senior males cats. One british shorthair (like the catfoodbrand) and one 90% turkish van. As long, as He was a kitten, he also tried to play with the older, who sadly did not have too much fun and stamina for his endless plays. When he got older, he played with them, but more and more dominated the old ones. Sadly, both of the old ones, left us over the 🌈 only 2 years later. No the bengal is the only cat in our house. And shows no - no - needs of competition in regards of attention or food. We are a retired couple, and can spend lots of time with him. With no kids around, he is our sweetheart. But he knows. 😉.

A distant relative of mine needed a cat sitter for 6 months so I took her in. I had no knowledge of Bengal cats and was intrigued how she had leopard like fur patterns. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOU !!! right to the point in the video , and no lecturing of why not to get a bengal or why one must get a bengal dictating everyone into insanity. this video is gold!!! and ty finally got to see the size of a 3month old bengal thanks to your video / since mine will be that exact age when i get her home on her due date. Payment already a deposit and signed contract. we have all the works ready waiting for her and her name included / Mango! my family decided to get a miniature dachshund pup the exact same age so they grow up together. we went that route for so many reasons and one of the reasons were , there would be no competition felt between the two since cats compete more against other cats and dogs compete more against other dogs but Bengals and Dachshunds have been known to make the best of the best buddies right away for so many reasons it is mind blowing. Also we as a family get the best of both worlds , both a cat and a dog and both that are born within the same two weeks of each other as they both have similar interest and both love water!! to go for swims together, go running through underground tunnels their size together, while one climbs trees the other will run underground and meet each other on the other side. We just cannot wait for them to get here to their forever home. Just a few more days to go!

I have 3 cats: a female Norwegian Forest cat (sweet and smart), a Siamese (sophisticated), and a Burmese (social and active). I'd say that my Burmese would give the Bengal a run for his money. He visits our neighbors and gets them to feed him wild salmon and ice cream!

I didn,t had a bengal. I hat a Tabby, buth she did remarceble things. Laying her front feet crossed so she used her left and rigth brain. I have a small walking road and for bicycles. She was always shy for other people and as soon someone was walking or byking by she went in to hide. After two years she was used to it, buth she picked her publik well, by recognicing the ones she didn,t like she went in. The others who she could accept she stayed in our small garden. I could left the door open, she always told me if there was somebody before they came in or even close. She is not there anymore and if I was younger I would shore give it a try with a Bengal. Think they are awesome.

Omg it’s purple rocket ewwww puff had one red rocket and it was after he humped a Wells Fargo stuffed horse and carriage one night in front of guests and I took him the next morning at like 9 months or something to get fixed even though I wanted puff babies forever!
