It's unbelievable that Vivian Campbell played for Sweet Savage at a very young age and for a short period of time but even Metallica played Killing Time by them and now Paul Gilbert did a cover of Holy Diver. Vivian Campbell is an extremely nfluencial musician.

what was the problem,y'think?
@valkyrion_ex11735 жыл бұрын
@Batphink Reynolds Royalties, basically. Allegedly Dio promised the other band members a bigger cut of the pie after the third album, but when Vivian came to collect, Dio didn't cought up (although according to Viv himself this is largely due to Wendy Dio as she was the manager). And it all kicked off from there. They both said awful things about each other in several instances and never got to reconcile before Ronnie's unfortunate passing - however, Viv's feelings seem to have mellowed over the years, as he's been on record saying that he likely would have worked with Dio again if they'd had the chance. It's an awful situation really and a shame they never got to reconcile - but we know they might have, and that'll have to be solace enough.

@@valkyrion_ex1173 Vivian wanted a lot more that just royalties. He wanted a portion of the Dio estate. Thats why Wendy told him to get lost. Vivian was taking advise from his greedy father. The irony is, I'm sure Joe Elliott didn't give Vivian and part of the Def Leppard estate
@seanm7553 Жыл бұрын
No Viv just wanted everyone in the band to share equally in record sales, concert revenue, merchandise, song writing rights, u know band stuff. Greety wife said no. Dio sucked after that outside of his sabbath stuff with iommi.
