Dionisio Aguado - Introduction and Rondo no. 2 Op. 2

Dionisio Aguado (1784 - 1849)
The theme of this Rondo bears a striking resemblance to Beethoven's famous "Pathetique" Sonata, Op. 13 no. 8. Given that this piece was published in the year of Beethoven's death (1827), perhaps we can call it a "tribute". However, the dedication is to Aguado's contemporary, François de Fossa.
Recorded March 6th, 2017 in Toronto.

The narrowness is my issue, not yours -- yet why apologize for what one sincerely loves, needing little more? You duplicate an orchestra as beautifully as ever. A great perfomance Drew.I listen to this piece of music everytime i can. Li jie and one of the best clasical guitar player is Julian bream he did it very well with this Agusdo's Rondo. I had it for my 6th guitar exam in 1983 .

From observation, this whole performance, from the tempo to dynamics and even to the overall feel, comes really close to that of julian bream, who imo has the best version of this piece. Its so nearly a 1-1 copy, and hats of to you for playing with the style and feeling of one of the greatest classical guitarists ever, but with your own personal touch. Very well done. Only thing lacking? Bream's insanely comical and intense facial expressions😂😂
