Hi, I went to pick up a bottle of Bois d’argent but ended up picking up Ambre nuit instead bc I couldn’t smell Bois d.. I don’t know if I have become anosmic to benzoins.. but I am enjoying ambre nuit for now. It was nice watching your reviews as always!!!

The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. It's real. I now have a bottle of Bois d'Argent that has almost no smell. I remember it from testing many years ago and it wasn't like that. Strangely enough, the liquid is kind of oily, but the scent is faint and all the notes are missing. Dior screwed up, simple as that.

Oh dear... that's something I have noticed here too at the Dior Boutique... People who have worn it for years, sniff it on a card and visibly got upset.. saying it's just the paper card smell. Dior really messed up it sounds like

If they had any decency they would simply recall the batch and offer a refund, a voucher, anything. Of course they won't. It would create a dangerous precedent.

@@ScentZatura Prepare to be disappointed! I'm not one to go on about reformulations, but I think even Le Labo stated that it had been redone. I have an original sample from way back when and also wore it then, and the current version basically eliminates the cumin, which is what made the original so special. But I guess cumin doesn't sell. Sigh...

I like Ambre Nuit. Not love it though. And at the price point, it has to be love at first sniff to trigger a purchase for me.

I see where you are coming from... I feel the same way about it at times. There are surely better Ambers. Pricing is indeed high... Thankfully I got it for a good deal. Not worth retail
