Diplomat Aero Fountain Pen Review

A fun "pun"-ishing video :-). I have one of these (in brown) and have used/carried it for a few years now. The steel nib is remarkably smooth (vying with the Faber-Castel steel nib) and the style is eye-catching, One fly in the ointment, however, is the grip section. I find it quite slippery. The pen often rotates in my hand. Also, the cap, once on, spins readily -- fun for fidgeters but folks might want to be aware of that before purchasing.

Great video!. My favourite method of traveling is by train. A plane takes me longer faster but train is more convinient if it not to far.

Very nice presentation! I am very tempted to buy one, shame is not a single Australian retailer seems to stock this pen and the cost of international shipping makes me hold off... for now. Also, I would love a dark green version.

Can you purchase replacement nibs from them for the Aero without the housing (since they tune them so well I was wondering). I can't seem to find the info so thought I'd ask :) I won a Diplomat Aero and I'm so excited, but it's an EF and I just don't like fine nibs at all, and wanted to in time get a broad for replacing.

How do you remove the nub from the section?

The nib housing can be unscrewed from the grip section much like a Pelikan or Edison pen.

@@MarkoMarkolovic My mistake. I did not have a pen on-hand to verify my initial statement. The Aero nibs are friction fit. You have to pull out the nib and feed.
